Voicemail icon won't go away after flashing KL1 - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

As the title says I can't get the vm icon to go away and I have no messages at all. I'm running stock rooted and deodexed but other than that everything else is normal. Any ideas?

+1 - if that doesn't work, call t-mobile and have them delete your voicemail box and re-add it and it will be fixed. I work there and do this all the time

I work for financial care in Thornton Colorado and i've tried to have them reset it already and nothing fixed it,I will try calling myself and leaving a vm to see if that works

As a quick update, calling myself and leaving south vm did work this time but it didn't work when I deleted the last one I had.......weird. Thanks for the help

This didn't go away for me until I made sure it was synced with my visual voicemail. The notification would come back after a reboot. its ginger for now it seems

Google navigation is speaking code to me

I am on a totally stock non-rooted EL29 sprint rom. This was also happening on EK02 which I used auto root on. When using google navigation for turn by turn directions instead of saying the street names and turn right here it is giving me html code. Has anyone ever had this issue before or any suggestions on how to fix it?
anyone have any suggestions?

How bizarre! I've never heard of such a thing. I'd love to hear a recording of this.
Text-To-Speech
Is your text to speech set to Samsung? Once upon a time mine did this. I changed it to pico & it hasn't happened since. Try that. Good luck.
I would try clearing cache and data in maps. Go to settings -> applications

Voicemail notification stuck

My VM notification in the top bar of the phone wont go away. I listened to all my messages yesterday after noon and the notification went away, then phone died later last night. Charged it until it would reboot and now voicemail in the top bar is back, no voicemails.
Already tried a battery pull....
how do I get it to go away again?. Do I have to wipe the phone? I hope not.
100% stock not rooted.
Thanks

From another phone. Leave a message listen to the whole thing wait till it tells you to push 7 to delete then delete it. Atleast that's what works for me.

+1. Experienced the same thing on stock ICS. Decided to flash Darkside Evo V4 and still cannot access voicemail. First and second attempts to input voicemail pin does not register, on third attempt to input pin only the first number dialed is recognized. Resetting voicemail pin also did not work.

Not receiving notifications when screen is off

Hi All,
I have a N7105 and I've just noticed that I'm not receiving any notifcations from Facebook or WhatsApp (I've only tested it on those 2 apps so far) running on data not WiFi when the screen is off.
Once I turn the screen on, the notifications still don't appear, however once I access an app or internet browser that requires data connection, then I would receive those notifications. It seems like the data is switched OFF when the screen is also off.
I've read a few posts outside of XDA and apperntly it could be a 'Jelly Bean' 4.1.1 bug?
Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
Cheers
Anyone?

seem to happen on me recently too, on wanamlite's latest rom, i still have yet to find a solution. I don't have any tasks killers or battery saving apps installed.
No. I got none of those installed

Can you test it with wifi and see if it still happens?
Also can you still receive calls and sms while screen is off?
Also also, have you ever installed any battery saving application?

It's stock as a rock. I only got the fone last week. What's fast dormancy? I guess I haven't since I don't know what it is.

Which rom are you on? If you're on the newest, try getting on an older one to see if it helps.
Also have you checked your APN settings for your carrier?
Lastly, check that you do in fact get NO data as soon as the screen is off. Test all the apps, and email. Download an app from Play, and turn off the screen mid way to see if it interrupts.

Im on jelly bean 4.1.1.
I've checked my APN even reset to default even though I didnt touch it when it came out of the box from my service provider.
Most of the time I wont receuve a notification unless I turn the screen on and wait a minute or 2. However they do come through sometimes when the screen is off but theres like at least a 10-20 min delay from when the message was sent to me and the maximum time ive noticed is 1 hour.
I called Samsung and they suggest I hard reset using a code they gave me. Really frustrating and ive only had this fone for just over a week.
I don't really want to hard reset this brand new fone. But it looks like I have no choice since no 1 else is experiencing this problem.

Its a possibility but my cousin has the exact same fone and we're with the same carrier as we both got thr phones at the same time.
He's sgn2 is fine. Receives all notifications when the screen is off seamlessly. I compared both our settings and its exactly the same. Which is why I doubt that it would be a carrier fault. But I again I could be wrong.

Ok. I gave up. I ended up factory resetting the phone. Its resetting now as I type.
What is more frustrating the code: *2767*3855# to hard reset didnt even work! It came up with an error saying that it is an invalid code.
So i just went to settings then factory reset.
If this doesnt fix the problem, I will call Samsung again and ask for a replacement handset.

No Data, How To check apn settings

so i rooted and flashed my moms phone for here. though now i cant get data on any rom i use. Ive tried Cm10, domination, and now liquid smooth. the 3g icon is there and the data activity indicator is blinking the up and down arrows, but the signal bars remain gray with no data. im currently on liquid smooth trying to figure out how to get to my apn settings, but there is no voice dialer app to say "open apns" to. yea i did flash a ics modem (FB15) and im really hoping to fix this quickly, so she can stop flipping out.
before i gave this phone to my mom and jumped to tmobile with a galaxy s4, ive never had problems like this. Also when i had this phone, voice dialer was on every rom, so forgive me for the noobish question of how to get to the apn settings. also, if you can post the current apn settings sprint uses, that would be helpful
EDIT: Flashed Revolt, data still doesnt work but it had voice dialer. opened apn settings but everything seemed fine. but i would still like for someone to post the default apn settings just so i can make sure
Edit 2: with having no luck, odined back to stock. data works fine. will keep stock unitll the issues are resolved

Try putting TW on for your mom. If she likes the feel of stock, she'll love the custom feel of some of the roms out now. And before you flash CM(I recommend dastin1015's Wild For The Night), flash FL24 modem, update prl and profile. See if that helps. And it will have voice dialer too .

but it wasnt just cyanogen mod, it was every AOSP rom i used. and im pretty sure paranoid android isnt based on cm anymore, which means it shouldnt have the same bugs. Unless the releaser of the rom for this phone merged cm10 code to make it work

It's AOSP too. I've read they have issues as well. Again, my advice, get her TW and let her customize the crap out of it.
