I have a verizon mifi device that worked great with my phone and tablet but now I cannot connect. It still works with my PC, but no luck with my phone or tablet (Toshiba Thrive). I called verizon but they said the device seems to be working well with the PC, so it must be the phone or tablet.
I was at a hotel 2 days ago and my phone and tablet both connected to their open wireless router fine. Any suggestions?

I got a GSM Samsung Galaxy Nexus ( Made for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) stuck on 4.0.2 yakjujp . I want to root the phone and install AOKP on it. I have ran into quite a few problems .
1) The phone is laggy
2) its got a mind of its own. It charges sometimes and then sometimes it wouldnt detect that the charger is connected. for the phone to charge i either have to switch off the phone or connect the microusb cable and lift the connector on the phone.
3) the phone doesnt get recognised as MTP on my laptop . I earlier had a GSM Galaxy nexus bought from the UK which used to recognised on my laptop. I tried installing the drivers and now with great difficulty the phone is now recognised by my computer but it wont recognise on any of the rooting kit like Wugfresh etc. i have tried in fastboot mode as well.
I cant send it back to samsung as Galaxy Nexus is not launched in India.
Hi, I purchased a 2013 lte nexus 7 about 3 weeks ago. When I first got it everything was fine. Then It started having wifi problems. It would connect but I wouldnt get any throughput. I have two different routers and had the same issue with both. I have a 2012 nexus 7 and a phone and they both connect fine with no issues. I have reset the phone four time. Each time things will be fine for a day or two but I get the same problem eventually. I exchanged it yesterday at best buy. While I was there the girl at the counter connected to a router in the store. She said she didnt do anything special. But I went ahead and got a new one. It wont even go through set up. It sees both my routers and connects but when it tries to go to the next screen it says web page not available. I have an tmobile sim card and I really dont want to return it but I dont know what else to do. I have searched and cant find the answer. Before I returned the first one I tried everything suggested and nothing worked. Thanks for your time.
I just tried to connect my S3 to my Cradlepoint MBR-1000. At first it did not work, but then started to. Connected thru usb straight from the phone as a modem, but the data count sent and received are not working in the wifi tether. Don't really care really, but I want to make sure I'm not flagging myself to Sprint, or worse, get a huge bill next month. About a week ago, I canceled my data card as I had not used it for over one year.
Anyone know if I'm good or not? I did a quick look for a router forum here but did not see anything. Thanks
Pick of info screen on the cradlepoint.

I also have a Netgear Nighthawk AC1900 still in the box if anyone knows how to share my cells with it. I live in the country and have to keep the phone in a Wilson's booster cradle. Nice out here in the woods, but has it's limits.
Hi!
If I connect a "car-stick" such as https://www.onlineshop-skoda.de/index.php/carstick.html, the car (a Skoda Kodiaq) should be able to provide a wifi-hotspot.
I could simply enable internet sharing using my Samsung S9, but I guess the signal would be better if the cars built in wifi-hotspot capability was used.
The phone is connected via USB to the car.
Could the phone be configured in some way which would enable it to present the type of network interfaces similar to what the earlier mentioned car-stick presents?

Most any android tablet or phone will overheat if left in hotspot mode. I hear iPhones will fry. All I tested overheated even on battery and add the heat of charging well i suppose something bad could happen!
So we recently had to switch to unlimited data with verizon due to a house fire. Where were staying (temprarealy) doesnt have a secure networl let alone a good connetion. My wifes phone has the base unlimited mine has the gobeyond. I have a note 8 she has a pixel 2 xl (and she hates it but has it till febuary). The pixel 2 doesnt play well with any kind of tethering when weve tested it. My note works great. I got to gobeyond on my phone cause i generaly use WAY more data then my wife when no wifi is availbe plus mine tethers better. No know I have 15gigs of tethering included but i wanna reserve that for my wifes work lap top when she needs internet on it thats secure but shes not armt work. For me if im down loading a movie or something id like to use pdanet on my laptop to hide the tethering that way i can download my movies in 1080p then hook my laptop upto the hotell tv to watch them till the insurence gets us moved into a rental or apartment where I can get my own wifi network set up. Does PdaNet still do a good enough job hiding its use from verizon so when i use it my pdanet tethering wont come out of my 15 gigs?
