5 Bar reading? Sounds awesome. I might just run a ROM based on the latest OTA for that alone lolol
Looks like it's just a small security and radio update. People on Android Forums say there is no change to the Android or Sense version.
Sounds like they may have finally fixed the disappearing alarm/clock from the app drawer.
Radio update may be good as well. My service is really bad. I don't think I need a 5 bar signal bar. Mine is lucky to see one bar lol.
if anyone took the ota and could do a /system pull id appreciate it so i could throw a stock rom out for those who want it but dont want to take the ota/loose root
This is great. I really liked stock, but the vanishing clock apply was really annoying.

hey how do I do a system pull??
I'm sure its just a matter of time before the radio img is pulled.
http://www.multiupload.com/NBIGM5VPZ1
This is the signed package, and includes radio.
Can you pull the radio?
unzip the ota I posted, then unzip the firmware.zip inside for the radio.
Or you can wait until I flash this phone and I will post the hboot flash for the radio.
when I unzip it I get a .cpgz file. I don't think that's radio.
I can't help you with that...
http://www.multiupload.com/3CBAQ9X4FZ
Radio. Flashable by hboot.
I heard this update gives you a five bar signal indicator. Now everyone should see three bars of signal.

Why not just flash the update in stock recovery? You can use ota rootkeeper to protect root.
Also the pro version of mobile odin will flash any of the full fw releases as well as the otas, and it'll reinject root during the process. (Its now my preferred method)
Most people arent going to want to give you their nandroid. theres too much personal info on it. Even those like me who make one right after flashing will be very cautious about this. Theres almost always something in there that is easily forgotten to clear. You could get lucky and find someone willing to do it, just dont get your hopes up too much.

Hey doc got some questions for ya. I came to the gs3 from nexus s 4g. With the ns4g I could always just flash new ROMs and updates in cwm. It seems the process is a bit more complicated on gs3. I purchased mobile Odin, and I've used the PC version a couple of times, but I'm not that comfortable with it. First day I got my gs3 I flashed Mr. Robinson's root injected uvlah2 and just stuck with that. A couple nights ago I finally flashed a new radio and it has helped my signal. I want to make sure my phone is ready for the jb update so what would you suggest?

Thats why there were ics leaks to begin with im sure. Li5 may or may not be the last but it definitely shows progress!
I have been assuming we'd get another official ics update for this reason! Since jb is being deployed as a patch, they both have to play well before, during and after update.

There is another leak out T999UVDLI8, yes it is the same name as the last but instead of having to be on T999UVALI5 to update you have to be on T999UVALH2 in order to update. This one is 1.1MB larger than the last LI8.
^ yea i saw that too but didnt think much of it .. wonder if everything is the same as the li8 that was released yesterday
I recently received the JDQ39 OTA on my GNEX test phone. Oldblue910 will provide the community with the most recent boot loader version, kernel version and baseband version.

Not gonna ask for a specific ETA but was just wondering how long a process it is to extract the radios. Again, I am fine with however long it may take and do not need a time that they will be posted. Just wondering if it's something that can be done quick for you guys or if it will take awhile.

obviously not an official answer, but it seems that they cannot extract the radio from the phone, and so they are reverting to 4.1 and hoping that he gets the OTA again so they can extract it before the ota is flashed?
Sounds like that is the plan. But this raises a good point, especially since we don't know how the test ota process works, and thus don't know for sure that he would receive the ota again. Maybe it would make sense to first get it rooted and then pull the radios via the gnex toolbox (which is probably easier and quicker than doing it manually) and maybe also pull a full system image or create an image. zip of the stock ROM through CWM.
That said, these guys are doing this out of pure goodwill, and they should do whatever works best for them and doesn't interfere with their lives. Just happy they gave us the news

The OTA "should" be linked to a device ID. When the public OTA rolls out, blocks of devices are updated at various intervals (which is why some get the OTA later than others). The server housing the OTA at present should have a block of test device IDs authorized to download. If this holds true, then he should be able to grab the update again if running JRO03O. Key word is "should". :fingers-crossed:

Android 4.4 and Sense 6.0 update should be live and filtering through the system to stock M7VZWs.
http://www.htc.com/us/go/htc-software-updates/
REMEMBER:
If you are running a custom recovery or have an unlocked bootloader, DO NOT TAKE THE OTA! It will fail.
Also, if you are fully stock and wish to unlock or go S-OFF at some time in the future, DO NOT TAKE THE OTA!
If someone could download the OTA and make it available for the few remaining developers that would be great!
Otherwise, enjoy the update!

It will have the extreme power saving option.
But it sounds like you need a factory reset. It is usually a good idea to reset after an OTA. They usually don't take very well.

+1 and going forward i would suggest that factory resets on stock roms only be done with stock recovery. HTC has been putting files in /data/preload (duoeffects stickers etc) and wiping with twrp etc will often wipe them... unless TWRP etc get updated to not.

It will have the extreme power saving option.
But it sounds like you need a factory reset. It is usually a good idea to reset after an OTA. They usually don't take very well.

I've went through 4 HTC One M7's... just got this one last week. So everything is fresh on it. However on every single one, the battery drain has been an issue. Which didn't happen prior to the KitKat update when I was on Jelly Bean.

wow, thats not good. were any one of them stock when this happened or was it on a custom rom?
maybe its an app that is constantly asking for services or updating.

That's what it sounds like. I've had pretty good battery life on stock KitKat.

All of them were completely stock
I've installed Battery Doctor, and it helps get me through the day but the drain is still pretty horrible. I find myself plugged into a charger more than I should be with minimal use.
As far as an app running in the background, I've used my phone completely stock for a few days with no added apps and it still does it. I'm pretty convinced it's either GPS, Wi-Fi, Data, or OS related. Or all...
Once we can get the download, please remind me where it downloads to, so we can pull it
