If you're referring to text messages, it's located in [SMS/MMS/APN]Dialer Storage 2.3.6. under system data.

hi, there is something wrong with the epic 4g touch's MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service).
I cannot send and receive any picture messages. How about yours?
BTW, I have turned off wifi and open sprint 3G network, the MMS is still failed and the picture is always in sending status, but never sent and Also I cannot receive any MMS as well.

I don't have this problem yet. Cuz I never send or recevie mms. You may call sprint and find out the problem. 嘿嘿。再用用，不行就赶紧换啊。现在新的政策是14天之内可以换机器。

Hey everyone. I just bought an Evo 3D and am getting ready to transfer over from my Evo 4G. Before I activate the 3D I wanted to transfer over my text messages from the 4G to the 3D. The 3D gives me the option to receive text messages from my old phone via bluetooth but there is no option to send them from my Evo 4G. I am currently rooted on the 4G and 3D and on the 4G I am running Calkulin's EViO rom 3 v 1.0. Is there a certain Evo 4G rom I can flash that will have the newest system software updates included that will allow me to send text messages over (I already took care of contacts via gmail) or is the Evo 4G incapable of transferring text messages to the 3D?
I think if you flash a new rom on your 4g, then ur texts will be gone at that point anyway so....if they are both using the same text message app u may be able to back up the data only with titanium.

I have used SMS Backup to backup and restore my SMS messages. Doesn't work for MMS, though.
You could find wherever they're stored, back then up manually with Root Explorer or ADB, then transfer them to the new phone (which would need to be rooted). I'm assuming that they're databases but I could be wrong. There's got to be a backup app on the Market that restores both SMS and MMS, I know it can be done since the MIUI backup app has it available. You may need root for MMS or something.

I have a Credo Galaxy S3 that will not send MMS messages until rebooted. After reboot they all go out in one bunch, then I cannot send anymore until I reboot again. I called Credo and was told they've never seen anything like this, and to restore the phone. I use Handcent, and tried using the built in messaging app, but was met with the same results. I verified the URL for mms plspictures.com I'm hoping someone on here has a suggestion, I'd rather not go through a restore at this time, my phone is not rooted. Thanks in advance for any help.
I have the same problem with my AT&T galaxy S3. MMS messages just hang until I reboot the phone.
Since you are Not Rooted, the options are limited. Have you Updated PRL / Profile ? You can call Credo Mobile and have them reset your Connection / Data.
I have Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 with stock rooted ROM. I installed Verizon Messaging+ which syncs with Verizon online so all my phone SMS and MMS messages sync to my tablet, and I can also send SMS from the tablet.
I would like to backup the SMS and MMS on the tablet. I have tried my usual solution, Super Backup, but it does not find any messages. I also tried Easy Backup, but same problem.
Any idea how I can do a complete SMS and MMS backup on the tablet?

I'm hoping someone knows a solution to the rcs messaging restore problems... I'm currently using a Hauwei p20 pro, it's stock texting app is Google messages, I want to go back to using my Samsung galaxy S8 (stock texting app is Samsung messaging). sms backup and restore supports rcs messaging as long as the text app used is Google messages, all of my rcs messages are being backed up but not restored. I installed Google messages on the Samsung and set it as my default app but the rcs messages aren't restored. I think I might have to root my phone and uninstall Samsung messenger... does anyone know of a way to force the backup to Google messages manually?
