Can people post pics off their battery life and set up? I'm getting an daily average of 9-12 hours. I hear of people getting 1-2 days with he same set up as me. 4 hours phone call, text, web, words with friends, etc

I get about ten hours of battery life but I spend about four or five hours non stop on the internet/ Facebook/YouTube and that definitely takes a lot off of my battery.. I'm running calkulus ROM with the ICS theme.. I'm not sure if this particular theme takes a lot from my battery but I feel like I could get two full days if I keep my 3g off and keep it to texting/phone calls. Hope this helped

On heavy business days with tons of phone calls like 50...lots of texts again around 50...checking email every hour...GPS once a day...I get around 8 hours before battery shows red. But that is using the phone heavy, in my hands all day always on it. For comparison, my EVO 4G with that same heavy use would die in around 4 hours.
On weekends with WiFi mainly...few texts...and casual web surfing, I easily go a whole day and into the next morning.

Had the exact same, 8-9 hours battery, drained so fast. However, tried Calkins ROM, with Tegrak Profiles and it now gets 20-24 hours. I'm really happy with the battery now.
Two separate shots on heavy all day xda trolling.

when I don't spend much time usually during work days I get about 11 hr battery life. And I don't use juice defender crap either. Turn everything off go on 3g, if I need to use internet i'll just use works wifi.

I was wondering what's the most on screen time you guys have had before you phone dies? I feel like after 3 hours ish my phone's pretty much almost dead. How about you guys?
Oh and this is just like browsing on wifi, texting, facebook, not like intense games or anything like that.
Right now I'm at around 4hr 27mins with 20% battery remaining but the highest I have ever been able to have it on for was roughly 6 hours, I do believe. On average though, I get around 5 - 5 1/2 hours screen on time before I need to charge it.
I've been testing out random games for the past 45 mins which caused a quick drop in battery and Words With Friends also didn't help with how much of a battery hog it is. Bleh!

Thanks for answering. Actually got to 4 hours screen on time right now with 18 percent left. Phones been on a total of 20 hours. Does that sound about right to you?

Wow, i get about 2 1/2 hours only! Though i use a ton of 3g data during the day. Overall the battery last longer than it did on my Evo 3D.

Yeah, that sounds about right.
It seems the battery life for this phone is directly proportional to screen-on time. When it's in standby and not connected to 3G, 4G, or wifi; it uses almost no battery. Even when connected to something and in standby, it still barely uses anything.

Yeah, 3G in a low coverage (or almost any coverage) area puts one hell of a damper on battery life, from what I've noticed. I try and keep it off unless I'm using it or needing an app to do background updates or downloads of some sort.

I don't see a thread like this for the T-mobile variant so I figured we can have our own. It would be nice if you included the following with your posts:
screenshots including on screen time, information about your rom, kernel, etc. and estimated talk, text, browsing, and gaming time, and what brightness you had your screen on (auto, full, etc.). If you use something like SetCpu with profiles list your profiles and settings here too.
I'll start:
This is only my second cycle charge on this device. I only got it 2 days ago now which means it still has room for improvement
My sig has my rom info and I basically did a lot of twitter browsing, about 100 texts a few short minute phone calls including an hour long call when it was at around 10%, a lot of XDA reading, and no gaming today.
I have the device overclocked to 1.89ghz with this kernel with min set at 384mhz ondemand governor. I have a profile that clocks down to 1.5ghz at 50% battery life and another that clocks down to 1ghz at less than 10%.
I've never had a device give me 4h on screen time especially with the abuse I give this device. I can't wait to try out other kernels and roms to see these numbers rise.
I could get a day and a half with no tweaking and low usage, on an average day I'm getting ~15 hours before it starts whining about the battery
Yeah but what's your on screen time?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Right?! That's what it comes down to. It doesn't matter if your battery life is amazing if the reason why is because you barely if ever use your phone...
I'll post tonight just got my new anker battery.

Considering your screen was barely on during those 18 hours I can see you didn't use the device much. This is barely average.

This is first charge on anker 2200 mAh testing them out. Will report what stock gives me. I had WiFi on from about 95% to about 50ish.

I could make it 24 hours easily with light usage. With moderate to heavy usage, probably around 20 hours. It really depends on how long the screen is on though. This phone has amazing battery life. My HTC Amaze probably only lasted half as long.

I agree, best battery life I have had out of all of my previous smartphones. I am still testing roms and kernel combinations to figure out what works best for how I use my device. I'm in the middle of testing FSG3 rom with trinity kernel. Will post up battery usage within the next 2 days to compare to my previous Stock rom with Adama 003 kernel battery life.
My Screen
Pretty Good so far, Stock Rom - Rooted - Still 40% left.
This is with the fsg3 rom and trinity kernel. First and only cycle so far. Brightness 100% wifi on most of the time, and data and gps always on. Played music for about half an hour and browsed xda for half an hour.
Edit: screen on time was just over 4 hours deleted the ss by accident.
Will post up the 2nd cycle when it's done.

New screen shots after a few cycles. Again fsg3 rom with trinity alpha 36 kernel. Brightness 100% wifi on most of the time, and and auto sync also on.
Look at screen time on not just total battery time. This is what determines good battery life not letting your device sleep on your desk for 2 days and saying you get amazing battery life.

I just got my s3 a couple days ago and am just wondering what I should expect for battery life from a stock, unrooted phone? I keep auto bright on, keep wifi on, and only have google mail auto syncing. In 2.5 hours it is at 92% with 15 mins of screen on time. I've never had a Samsung before, my last phone was a sensation so I can't really compare the two. Is this pretty standard and would rooting and a custom rom make much difference?
I used to get 10 hours with very heavy usage I'm on frosty jb v3 now I get up to 14-17 hours moderate use. Not sure for everyone else but my battery life has been amazing with this phone.
Make sure u have power saver on
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Thanks, I noticed the power saver setting but haven't tried it yet. It doesn't slow the phone down too much?
With heavy use I usually get around 12 hours with over 3 hours of screen time. I'm running freegs3 with the newest Trinity kernel and no powersaving options on
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
It depends on what your usage is, if you game alot and stream alot I have seen some people get between 8-12 and with moderate usage I have seen between 12-15 hours and with minimal usage I have seen some go over 24 hours.

On Imperium Initiative.
Just wanted to share some battery results with everyone.
I've been on WiFi and 3g all day, moderate use with about 2 hours of Audible.com. less texts than usual since I was home today, but more email than normal and about 3 hours talking
50% going strong. I'm floored.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier. Between replying to texts, emails, and making a few calls, it was probably a couple of hours. I didn't check screen on time, because I had given it pretty moderate use for what I normally do (I am generally an aggressive user).
It was an impressive day for battery life for me.
Hi! Im using my fone everyday and im also charging it everyday. Is this normal?

I get around 6 or 7 hours screen on time per day also but this is with heavy use and data is always on. Heavy use in my case is watching sky couple of hours a night, surfing for a couple of hours, playing games, writing, drawing, watching vids etc. I do this on most days.
When I'm not using it heavily, i can still watch a film, or a football match on sky every night and it only uses around 30-50 % battery. All my internet usage is done through mobile data NOT on wifi.
What I have noticed though, is sending texts and making calls uses the battery very quickly. Glad I don't make much in the way of calls or texts
