I get around 6 or 7 hours screen on time per day also but this is with heavy use and data is always on. Heavy use in my case is watching sky couple of hours a night, surfing for a couple of hours, playing games, writing, drawing, watching vids etc. I do this on most days.
When I'm not using it heavily, i can still watch a film, or a football match on sky every night and it only uses around 30-50 % battery. All my internet usage is done through mobile data NOT on wifi.
What I have noticed though, is sending texts and making calls uses the battery very quickly. Glad I don't make much in the way of calls or texts

I was wondering what's the most on screen time you guys have had before you phone dies? I feel like after 3 hours ish my phone's pretty much almost dead. How about you guys?
Oh and this is just like browsing on wifi, texting, facebook, not like intense games or anything like that.
Right now I'm at around 4hr 27mins with 20% battery remaining but the highest I have ever been able to have it on for was roughly 6 hours, I do believe. On average though, I get around 5 - 5 1/2 hours screen on time before I need to charge it.
I've been testing out random games for the past 45 mins which caused a quick drop in battery and Words With Friends also didn't help with how much of a battery hog it is. Bleh!

Thanks for answering. Actually got to 4 hours screen on time right now with 18 percent left. Phones been on a total of 20 hours. Does that sound about right to you?

Wow, i get about 2 1/2 hours only! Though i use a ton of 3g data during the day. Overall the battery last longer than it did on my Evo 3D.

Yeah, that sounds about right.
It seems the battery life for this phone is directly proportional to screen-on time. When it's in standby and not connected to 3G, 4G, or wifi; it uses almost no battery. Even when connected to something and in standby, it still barely uses anything.

Yeah, 3G in a low coverage (or almost any coverage) area puts one hell of a damper on battery life, from what I've noticed. I try and keep it off unless I'm using it or needing an app to do background updates or downloads of some sort.

Can people post pics off their battery life and set up? I'm getting an daily average of 9-12 hours. I hear of people getting 1-2 days with he same set up as me. 4 hours phone call, text, web, words with friends, etc

I get about ten hours of battery life but I spend about four or five hours non stop on the internet/ Facebook/YouTube and that definitely takes a lot off of my battery.. I'm running calkulus ROM with the ICS theme.. I'm not sure if this particular theme takes a lot from my battery but I feel like I could get two full days if I keep my 3g off and keep it to texting/phone calls. Hope this helped

On heavy business days with tons of phone calls like 50...lots of texts again around 50...checking email every hour...GPS once a day...I get around 8 hours before battery shows red. But that is using the phone heavy, in my hands all day always on it. For comparison, my EVO 4G with that same heavy use would die in around 4 hours.
On weekends with WiFi mainly...few texts...and casual web surfing, I easily go a whole day and into the next morning.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Had the exact same, 8-9 hours battery, drained so fast. However, tried Calkins ROM, with Tegrak Profiles and it now gets 20-24 hours. I'm really happy with the battery now.

when I don't spend much time usually during work days I get about 11 hr battery life. And I don't use juice defender crap either. Turn everything off go on 3g, if I need to use internet i'll just use works wifi.
So I decided to do what the manufacturer recommends when it comes to the battery, you know, charge it fully then discharge it. So I pulled it off the charger at 6am at 100%....moderate to heavy usage all day as I just unwrapped it, went to bed at 76%...so i turned on navigation and opened up a movie on Netflix hoping that would drive the battery down. I woke up at 56%! Myvold note would be dead, but this thing just keeps going! Christmas have mercy, this thing is amazing!

Yea man,Samsung did a phenomenal job this time around with the battery .I came from the i717 and I am so happy about battery life now!!!!
agreed. I was skeptical about the battery life reviews prior to purchasing and with a larger display and faster processor I figured no way any of this could be true. Coming from Galaxy SII that could not make a 6 hour day of use without being tethered to a PC and going out with anything less than a full charge was a recipe for disaster.
I can go a full day browsing and playing music on my Note II and not drain the battery.
Battery life is amazing. I have to really try and kill it to get it dead inside of a day.

It's not too hard to kill the battery on this monster. You can do a few things to really get the battery down, such as actual gaming, watching movies, and a lot of web browsing. Outside of that, it's really difficult to kill this battery under 24 hours. I have had very limited usage on my phone over the holiday. I am up to 77+ hours of battery time and a little over 3 hours of screen-on time and still have 7% battery left! If someone put a gun to my head and asked me to truthfully tell them when's the last time I had a phone other than the Note II, that could last 3 days without a charge, someone better call a really good clean-up crew!
I love the battery life, but I'm thinking about getting an extended battery just for the heck of it.

I bought the phone Tuesday rooted and running clearom 3.5 and note2core ex kernel and about to get over 8 hours screen on time on the first full cycle of the battery I am amazed !!!

I have everything turned on. Bluetooth, exchange sync, all Google services sync, Skype in background, IM+ in background, weather update at 15min and still can't come close in draining the battery. I am also trying to fully charge the battery and drain it. It takes me a day and half to kill it with everything running and navigation running wherever I go.

I too am quite surprised by the battery life offered by the Note II. This thing simply smokes any other phone I've used in terms of how long I can get out of a single charge, it's really impressive. I'm used to plugging my phone in every 6-8 hours on a day of heavy usage even with power saving mode turned on, whereas the Note II seems to be able to go pretty much all day and even then some depending on the usage.
I have the s3, but two of my good friends both have noteII and the first thing they both mentioned to me about the phone is the battery life! After being around one for a full day with much usage, I must agree it is very impressive for such a big screen!
This is my first tablet and I expected battery to be better than this. Day 3 with the tablet, stock unrooted.

Yes is it supposed to be better then that. Although, it is possible the battery power software has a bug in it. But it should not be dropping like that when idling.

Theres definitely something up with your unit. Have you let it cycle from a full charge to 0 a couple times?

This shows nothing without actual screen on time.
I dont think the op's battery is that far off. An hour of screen on time plus an hour of streaming music. Streaming uses a lot of battery.
If you kept at that rate it would be able 3 hours screen time and 3 hours music streaming.

If anyone rally thinks the battery is an issue try stock and try removing the apps that run all the time. This would at least tell you if it is your battery out just processes. It is tough these days to not have a bunch of crap running all the time. Many of the app devs add these things trying to find info, etc
Also.. Sometimes will run the battery down faster than others. Streaming media is a killer, video, gaming, etc.. Don't expect mega screen time doing that.
Also.. Check your brightness.

Im getting lousier battery life these days. Used to be 10 percent for every half hour of screen time, now i do not get that. Is it time for a battery swap? Bought it since May, so its about half a year on now.
First try to stick to the charging cycle (which means, dont charge your phone untill it gets 20% or less, and dont take it off the charger untill it becomes 100% + try not using it while charging)
Second, my gn2 on the original battery, lasts 2 days, if im using it for heavy gaming.
Lasts 5 days for whatsapp.
And lasts 10 days with only some touches and screen on with cellular.
Maximum for my gn2 is 13 days.

I know right?
2+ days with moderate usage.
My estimate is like 16 hours from 100 to 0% (since I never let it discharge completely).... very annoying, since I can't charge it once a day. Screen usage like 1-3 hours. No heavy gaming, just the usual stuff, mail, facebook, news, foursquare, book reader, calls, IM+ chat....
My note 2 can last for about 12h with normal usage. That`s with 3-4h screen on time, and everything turned on(GPS,sync,data,auto-brightness)..Only thing that I noticed that eats the battery is gaming..For example Riptide gp 2 can take 10% of battery in 15-20 minutes...And yeah (CM 10.2,neak kernel)..
about 8hrs heavy use for me
My note 2 lasts about 8 hours too. This is basically cause I use whatsapp continuously.
