Hello,
After flashing my HTC wildfire with CynogenMod7 (update-cm-7.1.0.1-buzz-signed.zip) + Radio_13.55.55.24H_3.35.20.10.zip + gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip, the windows HTC Sync doesn't work.
When I connect my HTC to PC, I can only activate the SD card on my HTC (I haven't the Sync option on my HTC).
How can I transfer my contacts, etc ... from MS Outlook to HTC wildfire ?
Need help
Sincerely;
Problem
After flashing cm7 on my lg p500 i cant flash any other rom i dont know why it shows me "inding UP...Opening UP...Installing update.. Ament scripting (update-scipt) is no longer supported.Amend scripting was deprecated by Google in Android 1.5. It was necessary to remove it when upgrading to CWM 3.0 Gingerbread based recovery. Please switch to edify scripting {updater-script and update-binary) to create working update zip packages Installation aborted." When i turn my phone by recovery it says that it is v5.0.2.7
This is not the p500 forum so don't flash any roms from here, the error your getting means that you need to downgrade your Cwm to 2.x.x as the updater script is in an older format.

Try disabling signature verification...also have you upgraded your radio to the one recommended by the dev

Sounds for me you have a pvt4 desire. You can check your desire's hardwarerevision on this way:
1.) Download connectbot from android market
2.) Start it, set "local" and write any name
3.) Type
Code:
cat /pro/mtd
Now look at the column "erasesize". If there stands a 40000, your desire has a newer hardwarerevision. With this the usually flashed recovery by unrevoked (clockworkmod recovery) does not work.
You have to flash a different recovery, amonra 2.0.1.
Download the img here:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20471345/SUroot/Tools/Android/Recovery/recovery-RA_2.0.1.img
Then, start unrevoked, file>custom recovery>choose downloaded recovery. Now run unrevoked again. Now you should be able to flash things like custom rom from recovery.
even when i try to upgrade the radio it doesn't work :\ i'm going to try to install another recovery
unrevoked gave me an error : failed to get root.IS your firmware too new

Try older revision of unrevoked (i recommend 3.21):

Happy i could help. But you can make me even happier, if you press the thanks button.
If you install this rom, it will consume a little more battery. But this is only because of sense 2.1+3.0, so i think that's okay.
Hi Everyone,
I've been trying to use a stripped-down sense based ROM on my Wildfire. I have successfully s-off'ed, rooted, and flashed other similar ROMs before. This time round CWM 2.5.0.7 seems to just reset itself every time I try to flash the zip. The log file says something about being unable to access /dev/tty0
CWM 3.x and upwards is working fine for AOSP roms, but I am unable to get 2.5.x working.
Thanks for your help.
Instal CWM 2.5.x from rom manager.

Thanks for the reply. I have tried this - several versions. Also through fastboot. I've even completely restored the software using an RUU and then re-installed different versions of pre 3.x CWM with no success
You advise me please someone, how do I install a new radio to HTC Wildfire? Thank you Bulvar
Open to the recovery an chose install zip from sd, chose the radio that you want to install an flash it
Ah, but there I was jumping bug. Writes to me: Amend scripting ( update-script ) is no longer supported. Amend scripting was deprecated by Google in Android 1.5. It was necessary to remove it when upgrading to the ClockworkMod 3.0 Gingerbread based recovery. Please swith to Edify scripting ( updater-script and update-binary) to create working update zip peckages. Installation aborted.
Consult me what to do Bulvar
go to cm recovery first install
this it will give you a temp recovery
then install the radio that requires Amend scripting

I had the same issue, see this thread!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=19079169&postcount=4
Go to Rom Manager and select flash experimental or older version... once you have downloaded the zip (any version will do older than 3.0.0.6, so all the 2.x.x.x), reboot in recovery, flash the recovery zip (this will temporarily flash the recovery you have just downloaded) and now you can flash the radio, just like you would flash any other zip and reboot!

I have the desire from when the phone came out. After 3 months i already had a custom rom running on the device, but now comes the problem.
Not one off the rom's i used made it to the end. Always mem leaks, error messages, battery problemsw or/and slowness after a while.
Now i want to know a ROM suggestion from you guys that i never need to update or reinstall because of one of this problems. I don't need to have a nice theme installed and i don't need the newest version of Android.
Just a rom that works for 1, 2 or even 3 years.
Thanks a lot for answering.
I have following specs from my device:
Device: HTC Desire PVT4 Ship S-Off
Hboot: i can use anything you advice (currently stock)
Recovery: 4EXT Recovery Touch (v1.0.0.5 RC7)
Radio: 5.14.05.17
Rom: thats my question.
Kernel: Anything you advice.
SD: 16GB (Class 10)

http://forum.oxygen.im/viewtopic.php?id=1476
Oxygen r2 hboot for Oxygen, Cm7r2 hboot for CM7, if you need more space use S2E. (you need 512Mb-1GB ext partition for it)
Also update your radio to latest one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=687464&highlight=radio
Basically you can use anything CM7/Oxygen based if you want stable ROM. (you can try MildWild if you want something themed)

U can flash it using fastboot (fastboot flash radio image_name.img)
Unpack radio.zip for img
Also you can flash ROM without upgrading radio, but you will have to flash it if you will have some problems with wifi signal or reception.
Fastboot? First time i would use that.
Are there easy tools for witout using a command in windows that i don't get working after running.
Found it: Universal Android AIO Flasher Tools

I dont recommend rom manager but a simple way to flash radio is to install Clockworkmod recovery 2.5.0.7 using rom manager. Fastboot is the best way but u can do it this way too. Download rom manager, install it then in the app go to the bottom and choose flash older recovery, 2.5.0.7 then u can flash radio in recovery as zip file. U can always flash 4ext recovery using the 4ext recovery updater app straight after u update radio. Look here for a guide.

So I've got a HTC One V GSM edition.
Been a while since I played with it.
I know I had at one time a ShenDU OS installed on it, but I put it back to original stock rom.
Now here it goes.
It is unlocked & S-Off.
I can install any recovery without problems (tried the CWM 5.8.4.5. PrimoU, twrp-3.1.0-0-primoU, CWM6.0.3.3)
All these recoveries work, they boot up.
But, whenever I try to load a custom ROM it fails, no matter what.
Tried a dozen of them, all from the HTC One V Primo pages on this forum
TWRP just gives 'error' and CWM gives mostly 'status 0'
The only thing that does flash into it are the official(?) RUU images, I have tried version 1.41, 2.08 and 2.22, all install perfectly.
Any tips on what I might be missing here?
I've read some things about a new radio driver that seems to stop custom roms from loading, but if I flash RUU 1.41 it also flashes the radio back to the old settings?
One v GSM is primoU , right?
Which rom did u use? Primou or primoc(cdma)?
any log file of revovery? what is the error?

So far I tried:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2683544
https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-v/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-13-htc-one-t3269533
https://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-v/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-12-1-htc-one-t3071507
..and some more, but you get the idea....
They are (AFAIK) all specific for PrimoU
And for the logfiles, TWRP does not show any logs, it gives an quick error and jumps back to the menu.
CWM gives either status 0 or status 7 errors.
which version of twr do you use? i use 2.8 and there is a "save log" option in advanced in menu
either when flashing rom fails , it shows the error and dont jump to menu
i dont know, try sideload to flash rom from pc
I tried TWRP 2.8.6.0-2, but it did not boot up.
Tried ADB sideload on CWM6.0.3.3 and on TWRP3.1, also did not work.
Now I redownloaded TWRP2.8.6.0-2 to try and save the logfiles you suggested, and it boots up, so it seems my earlier download was corrupted.
I turned on error log saving, tried installing [ROM] [6.0.1] Cyanogenmod 13 for HTC One V by jonas2790, and it works!
So it turns out that TWRP2.8.6.0-2 is the only thing functioning on my version of the HTC (which was running rooted version of RUU 2.22 at that moment)
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
:good:
Great ... as i remember, jonas roms needs twrp 2.8 (not only your device)
good luck
