Hi,
I prefer the battery icons from Gingerbread and thus spent some time making a higher res version from scratch. Have also added some animated charging icons.
Works nicely with Paul's system bar mods (I'm using the one with the search button, but have blanked off the legacy menu button for a cleaner look in ADWLauncher Ex and other apps)
Attached are the image and xml sources, feel free to re-use or modify them anyway you want.

Hello,
I really like this board, found a lot of help and great stuff here, so I wanted to give something back... now here's a little contribution from mine.
I really like Max Manila, but none of the notification icons set I found really pleasured me... so I searched the net for free PNG-icons and found a lot of cool stuff... stunning, that people are giving such great work for free... so none of these icons are my own work, I just downloaded and modified them a little to fit Max Manila.
1.) Office-style icons, transparent background, 128x128 pixel
Icons are taken from this set, credits for the icons go to Custom Icon Design.
2.) Office-style icons, semi-transparent background, 128x128 pixel
Icons are taken from this set, credits for the icons go to Custom Icon Design.
Background taken from this set, credits go to borncold @ deviantART; just a bit modified by myself.
3.) Office-style icons, solid background, 128x128 pixel
Icons are taken from this set, credits for the icons go to Custom Icon Design.
Background taken from this set, credits go to borncold @ deviantART; just a bit modified by myself.
How-To:
Just unzip the files and copy them into the \Windows-folder of your device - or use them with MaxTTM.
Note:
Due to the position of the notification digits, these icons are made for Max Manila 2.7 (and onwards?); I think, they will work with 2.6 and downwards as well, but it won't fit exactly...
So, hope you enjoy my little contribution!
rave on!
P.S. Though I'm using a Topaz, I think, this thread fits better here than in the equivalent section in the Topaz-board...
Update January 1st, 2010
Updated the transparent version a little bit, added versions with semi-transparent and solid background. Enjoy and a happy new year!
Awesome! Thanks!
I have Cyangen on my incredible and I was wondering if I could replace the battery icon with an icon that has the percentage on it. I have battery issues and would like to have granular notification of the battery status.
I had a sense rom that had this built in. Now that i'm running cyanogen I would like it back.
Its also built-in you have to turn it on. It should b under settings, cm settings, you can change lots of ui settings, i.e....clock color, batt %, etc

You can use this site to change the battery icon among other things you can try the UOT Kitchen.
(Sorry, I haven't posted enough to be able to post links, so just Google the UOT Kitchen)
UOT Kitchen Thread is at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=775970
UOT Kitchen is at http://circle.glx.nl/
it's pretty simple todo yourself. find a ROM that has that mod, and take some files from the drawable file add it to yours and then edit the pngs.. lou made a video its on his rom page to help with this specifically.
Hey Guys,
I just finished coding a little tool to generate reflecting dockingbars for Android,
i liked my reflecting dockbar on the iPhone and didn't have found an alternative, so i photoshoped my first reflecting dockbar and thought about the idea of creating a programm to automatize the process.
Here is my first Release of the finished Tool.
Requirements are:
Windows PC
.net framework >= v 2.0
it's pretty simple to use:
1. press the wanted Icon slots (Dock Icons) and choose the icon image file.
2. press the Source Dock slot (Dock) and select the dock file you want to add the Reflections.
3. Press the Calculate Button
4. Now you can click on the result to save it to the whished directory.
Remember, it's still in Beta phase, so I don't give any guarantee that the results will be perfect.
Pictures will be followed if i reach the 8 post limit
If you like it i would be very thankful for each donation/thank/feedback/notified error report
dockingbars and icons could be found in this great thread by rixsta
Edit:
v1.1 (Reflection Transparency + Icon Size Settings) added
greets Leppin
Real awesome idea, mate! Looks like it shrinks the icons quite a bit tho, yeah?

Hey thanks, i had the phenomenal that my adw Launcher schrinks the icon by itself to 80% of its orginal Size till a max size of 60x60 Pixels so i build this into the Tool. Maybe it could just be adjusted in the settings. But if you don't have this phenomenal i could give you a new Release without the shrinking Process
EDIT: Added v1.1 with the option to set reflection transparency and icon size

Enhanced 236 is one of my favourite ROMs, with Xperiatized being a close second. I know of only 1 mod which applies some ICS-styling to the ROM. I think that mod makes the ROM looks a little less cartoon-ish in aspects such as the checkboxes. However I'd like to make some more visual mods but have no idea how to do so.
There are two things I'd like to change:
images used in the notification bar toggles;
notification bar indicators - WiFi, battery etc;
progress bar.
Can anyone point me to a guide on how to make these mods? I have tried UOT Kitchen in the last with no luck. In that instance I applied the mod I had made but didn't see any visual difference.
Well you could use Holo Launcher it changes most of the icons and stuff. And you can try taking Rom Toolbox from the playstore , from there you can easily change some system fonts with preview before applying , themes and such. And you can pick images for statusbar icons also. Good luck.
This is an alpha build for testing/development by those who know the risk!
It may destroy all your data, brick your phone or make other permanent changes to your device.
You have been warned!
This launcher, in its current form, was pieced together as a PROOF OF CONCEPT ONLY!
This is a launcher based off the stock Sammy launcher.
It was originally the default launcher in a ROM I was building for the GN2, now I have SGS3.
I Will Not Be Continuing Development
I Will Not Provide Support
This is a flashable zip, wipe cache
What Is Here:
Most PNG's from the GN2 version
Most XML/Layout re-writes
New Folders
Added AppInfo opt. to HomeEditDragBar
Whats Missing:
All Smali changes from GN2
I have attempted to remove buttons/images related to missing Smali.
The button to Enter/Exit edit mode on the dock.
FAQ:
Can I Use/Fix this launcher as a project and call it my own?
---Have at it. Thats why its here. Just hit thanks.
Can I use this launcher as a daily?
---No, but if you must i would suggest changing the priority of the launcher so it stays in memory.
Why does the launcher look weird after i come back to it?
---Float variables, because i am not undertaking a smali rewrite.
Will this cause battery drain?
---Yes. On my device it doesn't seem bad but your mileage may vary.
Thanks:
RUJELUS22 - I threw this together and made a flashable zip in less than 10min with his script, great tool.
