[Q] How to enable keyboard light ?

Hello,
I have some bug with my keyboard lightning, when I open my keyboard there is no light and it's a big problem for me because often I type message in the dark.
I know it's a software problem because I have a beta ICS rom.
So, I'm asking if there is an app or a script to enable the light whith a shorcut ?

I'm assuming you do not have auto-brightness enabled? Because it won't know that its dark enough to need the keyboard lights... if you don't want to have full auto-brightness or you want to control it i would flash andromadus cause they have a really good customization for the auto-brightness levels : cyanogen mod style

Currently...no. This seems like a temporary fix since the devs are working on more important things, i.e Camera... Once they work that out they will probably move on to the "facelifts".

I know there isn't much of a point to me saying this - but be sure to post questions in the Q&A forum!

I think it is just on Virtuous Beta Rom, on Andromadus, it seems to work

Indeed I'm on Virtuous Beta Rom.

There is a free app called "Backlight off" that help to force the light of hw keyboard on!
It's only for rooted phone and I have tried this on the various beta of ICS for Desire Z and sometime it worked...

I am not allowed to post in the Development thread where these comments would fit better... So here is my feedback:
This ROM is really fast - I installed it on CM7 r2 hboot (1GB ext4, 31GB FAT32, Class 10)
Only App-Data and Download-Cache on sd-ext (currently)
The only crash I got was once with the "Camera ICS" App (while I was taking a picture) - so it seems to be a really good ROM!

But now to my (problems/) comments:
1)
With the default kernel I get no Internet-Service - So I installed the CM-Kernel of the 2nd post - with this it seems to work. But:
Using "Plane-Mode" and switching back sometimes results in "No Internet Connection" - then only a reboot helps (switching to 2g, 2g/3g does not help) - Probably this is the same problem, trillo96 has
2)
This is not a real "problem" but like Droidxda: I cannot use "swipe notification" - then it just switches the tabs
3)
Also no "problem" - but the Camera ICS has more functions than the standard build in camera-app - maybe it would be possible for you to change this?! (To be honest: I am only missing the ability to take pictures with the volume +/- hardware keys)

Hi, Im also not allowed to post in the Dev section ... :crying:
ad 1. In 0.6 the ManU kernel is default. Since Cyanogenmod 7.2 they had implented a new RIL, and the ManU kernel have problems with it. (But not for all ).

I've installed MokeeOS v0.6 RC2 like they said in the information.
Its my first rom that works fine out of the box.
For your 3th question, see the camera app menu! there you can select this.
I hate these captcha's btw!

Thanks for that hint! I have not even thought about using the menu button while the menu is already visible... So now the stock camera works perfect for me!
Now only the second point needs to be "fixed" and I have an almost perfect rom!

You can't swipe notifications, don't think its supported on this ROM.

Here you can reports all your problems of the Quarx's CM10 that you have (not Epsylon's one sorry).
I think that this thread will be easier for him than look for all reports spreaded in the many pages of his thread
Before adding your problem(s) :
- Be sure to use the latest version of CM10 ! (check here)
- Be sure that your report is not in the 2 lists bellow.
Take a look here if you wanna know how to install the ROM, and few things like that.. : FAQ, FAQ 2 :good:
Problems list:
#X = Confirmed
#1: am/pm not displayed on the lock screen.
#2: Developer options go back to default after reboot.
#3: Unlock Screen with Volume-Buttons doesn't always work while playing music.
#4: Defy ROM Updater shows older builds ( builds before 2nd boot builds).
#5: Not rebooting into recovery
#6: Battery only charges up to 85% on MB525
#7: Settings is crashing when loading and saving default screen dim levels. (Settings > Display > Automatic Backlight > Use Custom > Edit Other Level > Load defaults > Save & Apply),
#8: Phone only vibrates for a second when receiving calls.

Seriously it would be better organized here, this thread would be only to report problems/bugs, and Quarx's post to speak about all the other things concerning the ROM

So:
- The buttons backlight is working if you set in display/automatic backlight the correct values and settings. At least for defy+.
- compass is not working
- the ascending ringtone is working only one time.

Settings for buttons backlight

Avi files are not supported in stock gallery video player on CM10?
Also some applications that play live TV not working, for example tn.apk (hd tv)

the preview and final snap is different in 4mp wide camera mode for all d builds.it gets cropped in d final pic.

- UPNP players does not find DNLA servers
- usb debugging starts after reboot, even if disabled (setting not saved)

- please add a checkbox for "config_enableLockBeforeUnlockScreen" (framework-res/res/values/bools.xml)

LED
Hy, I have a problem with the LED notification since CM9, it blinks, in other words flashes, when I get sms or anything else, regardless of the option that is "Always On", it is really annoying for me.
And I think that the new LED notification color picker is a s**k, because I can't pick clean green colour, but a red one...
The way of picking color in CM7 is far better, imho.
I use the latest, 25/08 QCMX.

add a bug from my side - opening animation of app drawer is sluggish

About Logcat apps,
App developers need to update their apps to support Jelly Bean ,
So it's not a bug.
Quick system info works perfect for logs.

I feel sorry that you did not understand me. It is my bad. I try to write down my problem by other words.
So, Settings, Display, Notification light, -> Selected
Below it, there is a menu, called Default (when you enter it, its name is Edit light settings).
So, in this menu I set the notification color (red) and pulse lenght and speed (Always on).
Unfortunately, it (notification led) does not work correctly because it blinks red.
I have asked several people, but they said that their notification worked correctly.
Otherwise, It works correctly on CM7.
I hope You can understand me.

1) Always on for LED notification does not work
2) Updated to 25/08 caused Play Store to disappear
3) Flashing GAPPs after updating causing persistent search bar in Trebuchet to disappear (may be CM Trebuchet issue)
4) On reboot Airplane Mode must be toggled to regain signal (I believe this has been noted previously)
5) Swiping to Camera Shortcut on Lock Screen opens camera but does not unlock phone

please put only confirmed bugs in the OP. there are lots of bugs which are caused by a specific, non-stock app, thus its not the roms fault. if at least one other member can confirm the bug, then its a bug of the rom.

I wrote in the OP if users could confirm reports, then I'll add something like [Confirmed] in the problems/bugs list .

#13 and #14 are the same thing.
It does not matter the color of the LED.
The problem is the fact that it blinks regardless of the option that is "Always on".
So it is confirmed, on the one hand by me and on the other hand by Qwertyuiop23.

Incoming Calls too loud

Hi Folks,
I need your support. I´m using the Viper Rom 3.2.4 and I would like to change the volume for incoming calls.
The lowest volume is still to loud, people around me can hear what the caller say.
Do I have a chance to change it maybe in the Build Prop. ?

That option is only available in Version 3.3.X. I´m still using 3.2.4. where this option isn´t available

Little Update!
After changing the settings in the File, I have problems with the sound.
Can someone provide me the standard settings from the Build Prop. File?

I don't know if your issue is related to your ROM, but having too high lowest volume sometimes happened to me on the stock ROM after reboots. I (accidentally) found out raising the volume a few steps, then taking it back down will make it go to the actual lowest volume.

MediaPad M2 8.0 No Boot Sound

I hope someone can help. I restored it with an official rom but for some reason there is no sound as it boots up. Is there any way to enable this? Thanks for any help.

Indeed, at least two issues so far are related to sound in 3 last Android 6.0 OTA updates for M2-801L model (EU versions) :
- No boot sound anymore, even with all sound options activated (only a small vibration is emitted during starting logo screen
- Touch sound / keyboard typing sound remains active even though all related options have been deactivated.
For both of the above at least, I'm still looking for (official) solutions / workarounds, but none found so far.
If found, I'll provide another feedback here.

What keyboard are u using? I use the huawei swiftkey the stock in the rom, and if I remember right you must go to the keyboard settings to inactive the sound.
