[Q] Is there a way to hide update notifications? - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

I'm running the BlazerRom by phanthomhacker and I'm definitely not about to update my rom and lose root. Is there any way to hide this?
I miss my evo, I could just hit don't notify about updates and never ever think about it.

Notifications in notifications pull down reorganizing themselves?

This is more of an ICS question, than a Galaxy Nexus question, as this same behavior occurred on my Nexus S. When I have multiple notifications in my notification bar, when I pull the bar down, they are in one order. But, before I click on them, the rearrange themselves automatically. This only occurs once, but I end up clicking on whatever is now in the place of the notification I was intending to click on.
Does this behavior occur to anyone else? If so, how do I tell Android to not mess around with the order of the notifications?
Hmm... I've never had that happen. They just stay in the order they were received.
Most of my ICS experience is with CM9 (which is currently on my GN right now), so it may have more to do with that rom, than anything else.
This happens to me sometimes.. then I'll immediately go back and click on the other spot but it'll go to it's original order... fooling me yet again lol

Have this happen often on my bone stock Galaxy Nexus.
Same here
Yeah, it didn't used to do this, but it started doing it recently. Not sure what I might have installed or tweaked to cause it though.
I know it's not from a Google Update since I'm still back on 4.0.2 stock.
Same here. It's been happening since 4.0.2 for me. Kinda annoying.
I haven't had this issue on my Nexus, but notifications are ordered by date. Some notifications gets updated. For example, whatsapp updating the number of unread messages and battery percentage/temperature notification.
It might be because one of those notifications got updated a split second before you pressed the notification.
I'm just guessing, but that might be your problem.

[Q] Notification tones stop daily

I read a little in a post with something similar, but daily I find my notification sounds (txt, gtalk, etc.) all just stop, said something about leaks, but it was late and I may have been dreaming :-?
So, I have tried numerous ROM's, currently running Venum Ice RC3.1.1, but had the same issue with other ICS rom's. I will look down and see a bunch of missed txt's, etc. Reboot the phone, all tone's come right back.
Is this a known issue (I am sure it is), but better question, is there a workaround for this?
Tnx
its a bug in the ics leaks.
known issue, no fix yet
I seem to remember problem arises after call if hit home or back lose notification. Need to let call screen revert to dialer then can hit home and not lose notifications. If you lose just make a call and do the above and will have notications again.

+1 this is currently the only known work around.
Iphone Notification, WP7 Notification apps from Play store used to fix this also. Not sure if either one still works or not though.

I use go dialer and I do not recall ever having this problem.

[Q] Customising Vibrate Notification Time Without Root?

The default notification vibrate is so completely long and obnoxious it blows my mind it got past any kind of QC.

(Q) Can't stop notification sound in AOSP lollipop??

No matter what AOSP lollipop Rom I flash to my VS985 (each clean wipes). Whenever I receive a notification whether it be for text, email, or an app. The ringer won't stop with the press of the volume button like all other roms. I have to actually click on the notification and open said app in order for it to stop I have Lollipop installed on multiple phones and they do not have this issue. It is very annoying so I've reverted back to Kit Kat for the moment but if anyone has had this issue and found a fix. Help a brotha out! Thank you.

Disable Android System notifications?

I just updated to EMUI 10 last week which has been great, but today it updated again to 10.0.0.188 and now I keep getting a notification about my full screen gestures app (I use it along with the system full screen gestures) which I can't disable. It says "If you don't want" this feature I can disable it, but I DO want it. All I can do is put it on 'gentle notification' so it only sits in my notification bar but it's just taking up space for no reason. There's got to be a way to disable this notification.

Thank you for taking time out of your day just to say maybe, I'll definitely come to you in future when I need more maybes, what an amazing contribution.
Have you tried disabling that feature, then rebooting your phone and going into settings an enabling it again once it's booted back up?
Toggling on/off rebooting, etc. That's all I can think of.
Also, since you just updated, have you considered resetting the phone? I know it's a major pain, but it might help. Last resort of course. I had to reset after my most recent update before the one I got today. I'm hoping I don't have to reset this time.
