So I'd been looking for a dual sim adapter for my galaxy S2 for a while. I didn't want to cut my sims and I needed it to let me use all my phones functions like 3G etc for data. I'd tried a few different types in the past and almost gave up but after reading about It here I decided to give the Magicsim 28th+ a go.
I was really impressed with this product... Not only did it arrive real quick it was dead easy to set up (it's basically just plug and play) and it works. Takes about 5 seconds to switch sims and it works flawlessly with 3G dataconnections etc. another massive plus was that it works with my 'three network' sim which I've had problems with from other dual sim adapters. Anyway, Id defo recommend it for anyone after a dual sim adapter. The exact models ordered is this one...

pictures would be great.
did you get the cut or the no-cut model ? the cut model seems nice, doesnt take up much space either.
which other dual sims did you try that did not work ?
I got the 28th+ no-cut one as I didn't fancy cutting my sims but that's only because my second sim is a work one and my boss is a bit of a d*ck
In the past I've tried quite a few. I tried a expensive simore one which was rubbish and their customer service was appalling, I tried one called HyperCard which didn't work for me, and I tried a really cheap one on eBay which again just didn't work at all.
I'll upload some pics later when I get home of how it fits for anyone that wants to see it.
Here is a thorough discussion on the 28th magicsim in case some of you are interested in it. Photos are in there some where. Wonderful product, work just as it should.

I bought one of them http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dual-Twin...734?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item53ea838666 for £3.78 and it works perfectly with my Orange UK sims (with data and all)
Cant go wrong for that kind of money

Ah ok, id make a bet with you that it doesn't work with 3G. Like I say I've tried all these things out and spent a lot of money in the process so I'm pretty confident it won't work...
If you find out otherwise post a pic please as I'd love to see for sure! Thanks!
Me too. I certainly don't wanna pay the bigger price. A buddy asked about a dual sim. For more that 10 bucks, imo its just as fast to switch sim card. Maybe not fun tho..
Flashing your galaxy, press Y to continue..
Well, even when it works to have two sims working together, there should be much more battey drain i guess
Well I'm running the MAGICSIM one that I posted at the start of this topic. I'm pleased with it and wasn't bothered about the price ultimately because I need this function and I need to be able to access 3G etc on both sims. Ive not noticed any extra battery drain to be honest and I have it set to auto switch every 30mins to pick up any messages/ missed calls so I use it a lot.
Like I say, having a lot of experience with these, I doubt that cheap one works with 3G

This one is worth waiting for, I like phones with a keyboard. I am toying with picking up a Dash 3G before the TP2 hits, just to play with.
Is this still dropping on August 12th? Any in stores yet?

ITs not just you. I Dont know how often you guys swap SD cards, but once i put mine in their it pretty much stays there. Something that small i dont want to damage by pulling it in and out all the time, so for me, i prefer the stock under the battery cover one. Plus the more things are exposed like that, the better chance of it being lost or getting dirt or some crap in it. lol.
Still not a fan of the raised buttons tho, and the keyboard is weird. If anything, the Fn key acts more like an Alt than a Ctrl so dono why those are swapped, but i like the Fn key *shrug* I also like the chrome (fake as it is lol)
Oh well, to each their own, T-Mo users seem to like it, and it is still a Touch Pro 2, so thats fantastic.

Hi
Could you tell me if the phone is able to show the 576MB of memory? It should be in the 'About Phone' menu options. The last I remember is that this was a kernel fix and most of the custom ROM's now have a fix for it.

Damn that AMOLED screen looks amazing
Will be the first time I see/own a AMOLED screen. Somewhere in April I will be getting the Desire.. enjoying my HD2 until I sell it.
Just received mine from T-Mobile today as well, though noticed that there is no voice search built in...any suggestions on how to add this? Looking for a suitable apk atm (if any rom chefs have it to hand it would be much appreciated!)
Ok mate, many thanks for your help with this. I had a nexus one which didn't initially show full memory, but now there is a patch which lets the OS see it all and use it. I am expecting that that fix is already in the kernel.
Thanks, enjoy your phone; I will, on monday..
Hi guys,
I just registered but been reading these boars for a little while.
I was wondering if someone who just got the phone could tell me the exact size of the screen (in cm or mm if possible).
I ordered screen protectors from Germany, got them today but they look too small for the phone. Since I don't have mine yet (not until April 5th), I need to confirm or infirm that they sent me the wrong size.
Thanks guys!

I emailed the seller, they said they're gonna check if they didn't send me the wrong size. They replied only a couple of hours after I emailed them so I guess they're pretty trustworthy, at least on this.

I dont have the reciept for this as i bought it off someone here, would that be a problem? I have no experience contacting samsung about a warranty.
I bought a nexus s 4g off someone and sent it to Samsung. They looked up the esn or meid and based the warranty period from that. Probably whenever it got activated or registered. Just call them.
Thanks for the replies, definitely going to give them a call.
Unless you can find a cheaper broken Nexus or has warranty, it will cost you about $85 for Samsung to replace it, that is if the sim slot is removable. If its soldered onto the mobo, it'll be really expensive. If removable, try to see if they are willing to sell the part.
The removable type sim slots are very easy to replace, but they just don't sell replacements even on ebay except for a few cheaper models and generic ones. If you try to use one from a different phone, every model uses a different connector, even within the Galaxy line.
If you have soldering tools or someone who have experience with soldering, they might be able to solder some kind of extension to the broken pin, or the original piece that broke off, though it would require some very careful handling.
This is also why using micro-sim adaptor is dangerous with these cheap type of sim slots the Galaxy line uses.
Since you live in the US, good luck trying to get Samsung Europe to help you with that warranty. They may sell you the part but I doubt you'll be getting a free replacement or warranty work done.
Damn looks like I'm SOL then, $420 down the drain.

Don't think you're SOL. You can probably get it fixed (or fix it yourself), you just won't get it done for free.
Find the number for Samsung USA and call them to see if they will service your Nexus for a cost.
I don't know if they service international phone, but this one is so much alike to the Verizon version.

yup. they're the best thanks a ton, once again!
I just broke one of the pins on my Galaxy Nexus because I was using a microsim with an adapter. The adapter got stuck on the pins and i pulled it too hard and one of the pins broke. The one that broke was one of the smaller pins that are visible through the holes in the reader. Seems like those are a lot harder to fix.
I saw some people were able to get it working with some aluminum foil so I gave it a shot. Although it seemed like it would only work when a bigger pin was broken (like the OP), after a few hours of messing with it, I did get it working!
You have to cut the tiniest piece of aluminum foil (so small its almost hard to handle) and then use a paper clip to push it down as far as you can into hole where you broke the pin. Then slide your sim card in and hope it doesn't slide down. If it stays, it seems to make contact and work.
The craziest thing is that I am still using a microSim and this time without the adapter. The reader is tight enough as to where the microsim slides in and stays put. So I could have avoided this by not using a reader in the first place Now hopefully it just stays put! I just never can take my SIM card out again...lol

Hey guys,
My phone was stolen 3 days ago and I traced the location of the thief and got my phone back. Anyway, when I got the phone back the sim card wasn't working anymore and I looked more carefully at the sim card holder of my phone and it looks like it's damaged.
I have bought my phone from a guy on craigslist who had gotten this from Bell. Is there anyway to repair this? Would bell guarantee or Samsung guarantee be responsible? What can I do??
I attached a picture of the simcard holder.
Extort the dirty thief for money to fix the problem or call the cops.

I called the police and they he is not confessing and it's not a police issue atm, it's a civil issue and I would have to take him to court which would cost me more than the price of the phone....lol
Try someone else's sin on your phone. It might be that getting a new sum would be enough to bypass the problem. I had this problem with a Photon 4G and it solved the problem.

Either u buy the part and fix it your self (easy).

Or get the warranty going.
Warranty, if you're not keen on fixing it yourself.

I'd suggest using Samsung. They should honour your warranty since the phone is less than a year old (and their warranties are for less than year old devices. So just call them up and tell your story.
There are a few threads about this, Samsung USA will refuse to fix it if its an international device, you will have to contact intentional Samsung. If you can buy a sim slot replacement from them its extremely easy to replace yourself. You will not be able to find sim replacement elsewhere unless you buy a whole broken Nexus, individual sim slots for expensive phones are hard to find for sale. PS. From my experience every different Galaxy model has different sim slot connector and size.
Also another member from the previous post mentioned shipping his phone to a shop to fix it: hasslefreecellphonerepair.com, I don't know anything about them.
It probably was broken because the perpetrator put in a microSIM adaptor.

To make the galaxy note charge
Now how?
Im saw this video on how someone made it work himself, and i though i can do that too, without having wires out of the back
Im using the same method but i will be making the wires go to the side of the device (next to the battery) and make it look like the galaxy note 2 wireless charging "port"
I will be doing wires along the side of the battery (under the cover ofcourse)
(dont mind this pic,its not mine, its from google. (dafuq, nfc?))
This is a cheap solution, i hope it works, I yet have to recieve all the products before i start to work, i will be updating this when i recieve products

Hello everyone,
Im going to make an wireless charger for the Galaxy Note
I will be using this : http://dx.com/p/194469
To make an wireless Charger, I will be getting an Hard mousepad, (one with foam, then a layer of plastic) and will take the plastic off, make space for the charger, and for wires. i will be connecting it via USB (hope it works)
I will be using this : http://dx.com/p/222256

Maybe it would be wise to use this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Rechargeable-External-Protective-Battery-Feature/dp/B008D2I4RI/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1375708689&sr=1-2&keywords=power+pack+galaxy+note, so it ingerention into the phone itself won't be needed?
