Attached is a png of my latest battery life cycle......impressive!
Looks like it was barely used though.

How many battery life threads do we need?

Okay I'm nearing the end of my first day with my new nexus. 5h 23m on battery with about 20 minutes of in car charging halfway through the day. I'm currently at 14% with 2 hours of screen time this seems pretty bad compared to my older Droid 2, will the run time improve over time?
I'm a average to heavy user so I was considering the extended battery but it wasn't in stock at the store. If anyone who owns an OEM extended battery or the seidio 3800mah could give me some insight on whether they think it is worth the extra money.
Thank-you in advance.

Stay on 3G until you need LTE.
Your Droid 2 was 3G only.
Is there an application or Widget that can make the process faster or easier?

I use the aokp rom and it has a built in toggle. And your battery life in a lot better than mine lol.

BAMF has a widget as well, that can also be used with Tasker.
I searched BAMF on the market and didn't see anything what should I search for or is it an off market app?

It is part of the rom.
Or here.

good day.
Oh. Well I promised myself I would leave this stock for at least a month but I'll keep that in mind.

Well that's half of your problem. You're on a buggy battery drinking 4.0.2 base.
good day.
Is it really that bad?

Hi, I'm probably going to buy a galaxy nexus but I want to know some things about the telephone before..
how is the battery life of the nexus? whit my nexus s i can get 4 hours of screen on, is the galaxy better?
How is it compared to a galaxy s2 in battery and performance ?
Inviato dal mio Nexus S con Tapatalk 2
Well in terms of battery life Nexus has 1750 MAH and GS2 has 1650 and as per me since i have used both the cell nexus is better and after i using it with Jellybean it gives me far better battery life compare to ICS
and in terms of performance also i would say Nexus only its better bigger and super except for the 5 megapixel compare to 8MP on GS2

It depend what will you do with you galaxy nexus. If only check some email and SMS I think 4 hours is possible

I think that the Galaxy Nexus is better overall. You may get around 4 hours of screen-on time, but keep in mind that this huge screen is a real battery hogger.
I think that the modding is simple like in the nexus s.. Has this telephone got any known bug/defect? (for example the breakable power button of the nexus s)..
The only thing that doesn't convince me of this smartphone is the battery duration..
It seems that 4 hours of screen on is something difficult to get.. But whit my nexus s is quietly normal get 4 hours of screen on using WiFi and surfing the internet for 1-2 hours, playing for 20-30 minutes and using for other apps the rest of the time (like play store, play music or message and voice calls)

with kernels like franco and trinity people have gotten 5 hrs of screen on time with wifi etc..
I've never got anywhere near 4 hours.. or even 3. I've used a billion different kernals and roms, kept up with better battery to make sure it wasn't waking too much... I only get about 10 hours on 4g and maybe an hour of on screen time. If i don't touch my phone, it will last all day.
I've owned Nexus S before, and I gotta say, Galaxy Nexus has few minutes (30min~40min) shorter screen on time than Nexus S. Never owned GS2 so I don't quite know. If you get LTE version, it's gonna be worse. I recommend getting OEM extended battery if you are gonna buy this, but need more battery out of it.
Performance wise, GS2 will never beat Galaxy Nexus, especially since Galaxy Nexus now has Jelly Bean while GS2 is still rocking ICS at latest.
If I were you, I would wait for next Nexus, which probably will be much more expensive. But if you want a great phone now, recommend Galaxy Nexus with no problem (except battery life I guess )
I'm on stock 4.1.1 jellybean and I can easily get 3 hours screen on time with 3G on the whole day.

Vicious and xenon HD have decent batter life, so does cm10, if you don't want to sacrifice features buy and external batter case, I got mine from cellmac

Dude, that's absolutely normal. The screen is basically the biggest power consumer. My screen takes usually around 60%. It all depends how you use your phone... If you let it sit around and don't use it for over a day, you'll notice your battery accounts for a smaller percentage of overall battery consumption. If you spend over 4 hours browsing the web non-stop, the phone will run out of juice in that time period, and your screen will probably show its taking up something close to 80 percent. Which makes sense...

Yeah, not much to do about the basic fact that the Gnex's battery, simply put, sucks.

Also, flash ThatDudeButch's Diet Kernel, which you can easily find over on the Team BAMF forums. I'm getting fantastic battery life using that kernel with BAMF Paradigm.

Hello
I'm planning on getting the galaxy s2 or the nexus i9250, but I'm almost convinced with the nexus, but, as a previous s2 owner I know that the s2 has a good, if not a great battery life, so I wanted to get the nexus owners feedback on their battery lives
a screen shot of the battery section in the settings would be appreciated
thank you for reading
Not too shabby
