A case for two kindles - Kindle Fire Accessories

I'm certain there aren't many out there with this interest...
Anyone seen a case that holds an Eink kindle as well as a fire. I travel for a living and like each kindle for its particular use and would like a "book" like case with a kindle on each side.
Anyone seen anything like this?

I would love something like this as well! Anybody seen anything like it?

Glad I'm not alone. The Microsoft courier comes to mind. It was to be a two screened tablet. Although two kindles would be bulky, I plan on carrying two on the road and figured an adjoined case would be convienent.
It's a hard thing to search for. I keep getting results for kindle two cases.

In the meantime, my kindle 2 m-case has a pocket that I can sqeeze the Fire into. Fits snug but its so snug I fear it will wear the Fire's edge over time. Looking for something the other way around. A Fire case with a pocket I can fit a kindle 2 or 3 into.

me, too
Have y'all found a two-kindle case (Fire & Touch) yet? I too am looking for just such a thing.
The Fire and the E-ink Kindles are very different, so I wouldn't think that folks like us were all that unusual, but I haven't found any hint of a two-kindle case anywhere. Frustrating.

Maybe you could try making one out of two ? Glue them together or something ?

i tried doing a search on amazon for you but i didn't find anything. You might have to try to make something yourself!

You could do the Moleskine hack and with some elastic bands and a bit of elbow grease, make a holder on each of the covers. Check out this link for ideas: http://blupsblups.com/15-cool-diy-kindle-covers-and-cases/

case similar to transformer dock?

Is there any case for the xoom that is similar to the transformer keyboard/trackpad combo. i've seen some with the keyboard but having one with a track pad would really come in handy for me.
The case you're looking for does not exist. I assume you have an Android phone - you can download Blueputdroid and (assuming your phone is rooted - if it isn't...well...it should be) use your phone as a trackpad. It's a pretty great program, it can also be used as a game controller.
I take it back - here's one on eBay - http://www.ebay.com/itm/Motorola-Xoom-Bluetooth-Leather-Case-Keyboard-Touchpad-Mouse-/180799923988?pt=US_Tablet_Accessories&hash=item2a1883e714
Very interesting. If you get one let us know how it is.

The transformer one wouldn't fit? I'm pretty sure it won't but... never know
No, it won't. It's made specifically for the TF, it uses the proprietary connector, has clips designed for the case, etc.
OK sorry to waste your time
Exactly what I was looking for thank you very much. I think I'm gonna pick one of these up since they don't seem too expensive.
Edit: that seems to be the only one of its kind on eBay, darn.

My prototype fire case

I've always really liked the dodo case style, but I thought it would be neat to use an old book instead of the moleskin layer. This is my third prototype, and I think I've pretty much got everything figured out. I want to ad some spine reinforcement but I think everything else is on the mark. After a I get a final prototype, I'm gonna sale a few on etsy and then probably put together an instructable. In the mean time. Please give me any comments or feedback that might improve the over all concept.
Looks good dude!
Very nice.
Very nice work
You mean...you're ripping off the DodoCase?
What kind of retention apparatus are you using to keep the kindle in the case?
I love the case!
It's kind of inspiring me to make my own... I love my malware case but I admit, it's pretty boring.
pretty cool. I expected it to be recessed within the pages like the dodo, but this is cool too. Wouldn't mind an instructable on it.
The case is held in place by a few straps. The top 2 straps are elastic and the bottom 2 straps are velvet ribbons. These are attached to a card that is under the paper lining. I've been through several iterations before coming to this system. You really don't want more than 2 elastic straps. The kindle moves around too much if they are all elastic.

Cool! I went through a bunch of iterations on mine as well. Although mine was for my Nook Color before I gave it to my girlfriend. I used all elastic and it does move around a bit. I'm getting ready to start on a case for my Fire. You can see the one I made for my nook at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11622332&postcount=25
Thanks again for the ideas.
Really a nice case. Would love to see some instructions for it.

I've been using paper for the lining. I see you are using fabric. I've been thinking about trying that instead. Do you have any unraveling of the fabric edges?
Attaching the ribbon to a card under the lining is a great idea. I'm looking to do something similar with an out-dated calendar I bought off amazon recently. It's a Moleskine-like calendar journal that was ~$1 because it is for 2011. Perfect for me. I think I may glue the pages together and cutout a section for the fire instead of the elastic or ribbons. When that goes wrong )), I'll probably use your method. Thanks for sharing pics.

I've had about 10 people ask me about doing it that way, so it's on my list of possible modifications. I plan to try that in the next day or 2. If it works out I'll post pictures of how I chose to do it. If it goes poorly we can just pretend I never said anything.
I'd buy one! It would be cool if you do decide to sell them, to have them personalized of a person's favorite book.
Looks pretty good , Nice work
looks cool, im looking for a case so I can carry it around.
I have the bible on it and its what I use when I go to church.
so a case is a must

Looking for case with paper notepad for Fire

Booq makes exactly what I want, but for the iPad:

I love the Fire's size, as it makes it easy to take to meetings and use discreetly for document access and viewing my calendar, etc. I find it a little clunk to carry it along with my paper notepad.

I haven't seen a case like that for the Fire, have you thought about getting a note taking app and using it rather than an actual note pad?
I can't completely eliminate paper from my workflow for multiple reasons, as much as I'd like to. I can't really sketch diagrams in a meaningful way, even with a stylus, I can't hand someone a note that I wrote on my kindle, and I can't type shorthand as quickly as I can write.
I may have to get something custom made.

I haven't tried these...
I have never tried these, but doing a Google search, this is what I found:
w w w . zsxiaozhi . com/Kindle-Fire-Refillable-Planner-Paper-Not-Included_p_245 .h t m l
This one is for the BB Playbook, but one of the reviewers indicates that his Kindle Fire fits okay, and notice that it is on sale, $50 off the original price:

I'll see if I can find any others...
I'm too new to the forum to post links. You'll have cut and paste the web addresses. Sorry.

case with stylus built in

like the title says, ive been looking for a case with a stylus built into it. i use a stylus often enough for photo editing that trying to remember to carry my stylus with me wherever i go was getting to be a pain......
so i took matters into my own hands and modified the seidio incipio case to house a standard pogo stylus (available on amazon for 1.98 for a 5 pack)
first off since i have verizon with the extended battery, the case didnt quite sit flush, so i removed part of the silicone.
then i used carbon fiber wrap to make a little holder for the clip on the stylus.
pretty easy to do and took me about 5 minutes. im going to give it a couple days to get use to the added bulk and somewhat awkwardness of it and report back.
what do yall think? too much? genius? waste of time? lol
Can you use the stylus on your GNex? When I tried to use a stylus my GNex (GSM, 4.0.4 stock) didn't react at all to the stylus. So if GNex can't be handled with a stylus I see no sense in a case with a stylus.
Ummmmm.... not sure how to answer that, but... it is a capacitive touch screen which means it takes a special point on the end of it. If you try to use a stylus from... let's say a Nintendo ds or palm. It won't work.
Like I said, I just got tired of forgetting to bring it with me. So the short answer is yes. It works just fine.

If the tip of the stylus works with GNex it's imo a nice idea
Wow, I must applaud a customized case like this. I'm a huge fan of customizing everything I can think of too. Currently I'm letting my imagination run wild with what I might be able to do with that water based capacitive paint, turning literally anything into a stylus. Also acts as paint-on electrical wire for fabric, skin, or any other awesome idea you can come up with for paintable wire.
Typed entirely by the witchcraft that is Swiftkey X's predictions database from my Team Kang AOKP Gnex.
OK so here is the update. After a couple of days using it I found it to be very effective and useful. The carbon fiber vinyl holds up very well and doesn't stretch out since its already been heated and set. Pocketability leaves something to be desired. I found that for the most part its not an issue but I work I had to keep it on my jacket pocket. Overall I love this idea and I hope I inspired some people to try other stuff..... maybe even a manufacturer could incorporate this as well.

Do you have a link to which stylus you bought on amazon

Music Mount for Tablets Kindle Fire HDX 7" & 8.9"

Find a must and functional stand for tablets. A must for a musician that uses an tablets while performing, you need this clamp-on music stand. What do you guys think?
Its quite cool with the look but I just wonder that this could be use only hanging with wall...so the grip should be very fine and it could be risky one to use Kindle with it because a sudden drop can be assumed....I hope the material of this mount will be fair enough to support the Tab
