And before downgrade I was using 2.2 and I think its T-MOBILE because when I switched on my device it's showed T-MOBILE logo (I MADE BACKUP OF CLOCKWORDMOD on 2.2)..
Please Please Please HELP me on this, I cannot do anything because no software or RUU ROM can't detect my device just 'cause of USB DEBUGGING and I cannot tick this..
Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee help me I'll be very thankful to who help me on this

Try a different ruu, if it wont detect because of USB debugging try this, first on your PC click start and type %temp% then watch this folder as you run the ruu as some new folders should appear, look through those folders and find rom.zip copy it to your SD card and rename it to PC49IMG.zip now when you enter hboot it should pick up that file and install.

I don't know which ruu you need, re-read my post as that is the other way to flash an ruu, if you cannot connect your SD card to copy the rom.zip to your SD you will have to remove your SD card and use a card reader or another phone to do it but once the zip is on your SD card and renamed to PC49IMG, reboot into hboot by pressing volume down + power button and it should update.

Try making gold card.
Even if it doesn't, extract the rom.zip from temporary folders and put it on root of sdcard (fat32). Then rename it to PC49IMG.ZIP
then reboot to hboot menu from where you can update it. Here also with working gold card.

I also have the same problem and cannot get the solution anywhere. I downloaded the froyo RUU but whenever I try to install it, it always says "check your usb connection". Please help.
Using your PC click start then type %temp% this is your temporary folder in windows, keep an eye on it when you run the ruu as some folders will appear, search those folders for rom.zip then rename that to PC49IMG Copy it to your SD card and reboot into hboot, it should pick up the file and ask if you want to update. It doesn't change the hboot version on mine when I run it though, don't know if this is because I'm already on 6.01.1002 with s.off or not?
EDIT: Just figured out its because the RUU i have is safe and doesn't have Radio or HBoot.

Help Flashing RUU - Error 170

Hi,
Wonder if anyone can give me some tips. I'm trying to put my HTC Desire back to stock via the RUU, but can't seem to establish a connection with the phone and its current ROM.
Currently:
AlphaRev
Bravo PVT3 SHIP S-OFF
HBOOT-6.93.1002
MICROP-051d
TOUCH PANEL-SYNT0101
RADIO-5.17-05.23

ROM: Cyanogen 7
Android Ver: 2.3.7
BB: 32.56.00.32U_5.17.05.23
Mod Ver: CyanogenMod-7.1.0-Desire
I've tried the following:
Installing HTC Sync, Removing just HTC Sync, Trying to connect phone to both Windows 8 and Windows 7 environments and running RUU. Result was Error 170
Installing PdaNet, Installing HTC Drivers from there, generated an error code in Windows 8. Ran on Windows 7 VM, but RUU still errored with Error 170
Installing Android SDK and Google USB Drivers, running RUU and still getting error 170
Tried running it with the phone in debug mode, but get an "Android Device?" in Device Manager that i can't get to work.
Have tried using unrevoked drivers, and RUU still errors with Error 170.
Have tried with 2 different cables, 1 of which works fine with another phone.
Does anyone have any other tips to return my phone to stock?

Thy the PB99IMG.zip method.
Download the latest RUU (the 2.3 one).
Run it as administrator.
Tick the 'I understand the caution indicated above...' box, and click next.
At this point do not go any further.
Navigate to C:\Users\"Your Name"\AppData\Local\Temp (AppData is a hidden folder)
You should see one or two folders like this:
{719CE201-7B12-4A13-9AF6-8F359FE69C7B}
Go into the one with dotnetinstaller.exe in it.
Open up the next folder.
Copy rom.zip into another folder (outside of temp).
At this point just Cancel and quit out of the ROM Update Utility.\
Rename rom.zip to PB99IMG.zip and place it on the root of your sd-card.
Boot in Hboot.
Select Yes.
?????
Profit!!
Worked great, thank you so much! Thank given

I got as far as booting in HBOOT and it said (after fully loading) "Error: Main is older".
I'm running "R2 ZM4.5" Redux.
I want to install the stock rom so that I can upgrade the HBOOT, so that I can S-OFF, so that I can somehow eventually repartition. (It's getting pretty confusing in my head about now).
Any advice for me?

Use a Sensation RUU, and, instead of renaming the zip PB99IMG.zip, rename it PG58IMG.zip.

Worked for me!
For HTC ONE M8:
Download the file: RUU_M8_UL_M60_SENSE70_ATT_MR_Cingular_US_6.20.502.5_combined.exe and run it.
Wait for extraction.
Go to C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp\.
Find the files: "rom_01" and "rom_2".
(I've found them on: C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Temp\{1BF9D767-EBE5-4470-A938-3C36AE93DF54}\{50F2F878-636A-496F-A7CB-544C067E0C4B}).
Copy the bigger file ("rom_2") to SDCARD.
Rename It to: 0P6BDIAG.zip (caution to double zip extension - 0P6BDIAG.zip.zip).
Continue the steps above.

The CID was actually to try to see if there was a RUU for your phone. Unfortunately it is not. So, now you have to create a goldcard. For it you will need another android working phone and an sdcard that works as a goldcard.

I have a question
I have created goldcard to the best of my knowledge via process mentioned beneath.
But still I have S-on on HBOOT of desire hd
Process:
Have 2 GB Sd card & 8 GB Sd card. Tried both.
1. Format SD card by placing it in card reader. (tried with both FAT & FAT32)
2. calculate CID i.e. 1b534d303030303010073d25b400a9b2 for 2GB card
3. reversed it i.e. b2a900b4253d071030303030304d531b
4. replaced first 2 digits i.e. b2 with 00. gives CID reversed 00a900b4253d071030303030304d531b
5. Copied it to http://psas.revskills.de/?q=goldcard and generated goldcard.img file
6. Putting card into card reader and connecting it with computer via USB slot.
7. Open Hxd editor. Open Removable drive under Physical Disk with unchecked Open as Read only.
8. Open goldcard.img file from Open Disk image.
9. Copied all offsets of goldcard.img window and paste write it on Removable Drive Image by selecting offset 00000000 to 00000170,
10. Saved edited Removable drive image.
11. Removing and checking whether card is still readable.
12. Putting it back into mobile slot of SD Card.
13. Entering in HBoot and still getting ACE PVT SHIP S-ON RL
If I am missing something kindly help.

Goldcard won't make the phone S-OFF. Just will let you flash any RUU and avoid the CID signature failed. But you haven't flashed a RUU, so nothing changed.

ok
So how do I know that Goldcard process is successful or not. Should I have to flash RUU to confirm whether it is successful or there is another way.

When you finished patching the sdcard, you should enter that drive with no errors at all...but that is not insurance of anything..just a good sign.

then enabled USB debugging and successfully installed aahk for Desire HD.
Now going to flash rom. Can I still flash RUU on S-off, rooted set with custom recovery?

I even tried to boot in safe mode. same issue. rebooted showing main interface with Safe Mode written in left bottom corner.
now my mobile is S-on again but I have goldcard i made earlier. Have stock rom again.

3. Updating boot from HTCDev.Com successfully
4. Unlocking via HTCDev
5. Manually flashing CWM recovery from fastboot
....
.....
6. Installed MIUI.us_ace_v4_2.10.19_Eng_Deo_ZipA_Signed_blind.zip
7. Install from SD Card Complete.
8. Rebooted system
9. HTC Logo vibrate then black screen

[Q] USB broken, cannot flash rom using TWRP

Hi guys,
I have a HTC Desire. My USB port is broken (no money to fix) so cannot connect it to my PC. I have TWRP as recovery, but it wont install zip files.
e:unable to create updater file in /tmp/updater. There is currently no OS loaded. Is there any way i can install CWM at startup like a .bat file or something when i switch on the phone.
Please, please help me. Phones are expensive in South Africa
Thank you so much

Hi, thanx for your quick response. it is really much appreciated.
Yes I am s-off. ok, I copied the zip file to the sd card, restarted phone "back button+power button", (vol button+power button does not work), vol button down to recovery, and the phone restarted. But now it does not get pass the htc logo.

Yh sometimes u need to format ur sdcard aswell before it reads it.
Theres a guide here in desire general and "how to partition sdcard correctly" read that, im sure abbbbaaaab explains mount2sd aswell. Worth a read.
