Hello all,
I've owned my E4GT for a couple of weeks (upgraded from a Verizon Droid ERIS). I am finding I'm unable to play most games without them randomly crashing back to the home screen. Games would include a couple of "Amazon App of the day" titles like Airport Mania and Muffin Knight as well as a paid Plants vs Zombies app. All of the apps crash in the same fashion (playing fine, everything freezes, home screen re-appears) and they log something along the lines of:
F/Looper ( 8065): Could not create wake pipe. errno=24
visible via LogCat.
I see a few other complaints about this in the Sprint E4GT forum and some plants vs zombies related forums.
I'm lead to believe this is a known issue and is going to be fixed, but I can't find that written officially anywhere. Does anyone else have this problem, and does anyone know any workarounds?
This is a known issue, with no known solution atm.

Anyone have any reason as to why the game keeps crashing? i had no issues at first, i ended up getting 3 guys to lvl 5 and then i went to work on the 4th guy after that the game crashes every 3 mins. I'm lucky to get through the first wave
soundpool bug? (that would be my guess) I've got the same issue with some games they play fine for a few and once you hit a certian point they just close out no error or anything else. It's a samsung issue iirc.
it kinda sucks. i wanna play DD!!! I'm wicked addicted to it.
i dont think its a purely samsung thing, this was happening to me on my evo 3d with both dungeon defenders and splode
[Q] Flickering Problem when running my game
Hello all,
Recently i am developing a game. While testing on my galaxy S3 i noticed that sometimes the home screens and app pages flicker when sliding through pages and even swiping the notification bar down.
The funny thing, it doesnt happen every time i play the game, but it happens some times. To get rid of the problem i have to open my game again or any other app and then exit out of it and the flickering will stop.
Ive tried and tested just about ALL of my code. There doesnt seem to be any major issues or memory problems. I am also cleaning up properly when exiting my game, and destroying objects and even stoping my game engine.
At this point i am beginning to think it is a bug in the Android OS or something. My device is running Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. Ive had many others beta test the game on some cheaper and lower end devices and they dont have the problem. And of course not on tablets.
What do you guys think? Has anyone else encountered this issue?

I own the second generation of nexus 7 since friday and i home some problems with it. It is not rooted,i run android 4.4.2 on it. Since yesterday,a strange sound comes out from the top speaker, like something is breaking, but just in games. For example, this morning i tried to play real racing 3 on it and it just makes a strange sound and then, when i click "Race" it closes and sais "unfortunately,Real Racing 3 has stopped". Is there anything that i could do beside giving into service for repair?
Thanks
It's possible that the game's data files are corrupt. I would uninstall it and reinstall it first and see if it still doing the same thing.
Sometimes sounds don't work in some games. Clash games or modern war etc. Example is in clash of Lords 1 and 2 when tapping on buildings to collect money don't make the sound. Sometimes no issue. Sometimes I'll tap on each building and sound works for some and one won't have the sound. It varies. In battles the sounds will sometimes not work when fighting. Some stuff won't always have the sound and other times no issues. This happens in different games. Modern war, crime city, clash of Lords 1 and 2 and castle clash etc.
I'm guessing but I think this problem started after a Samsung firmware update because I don't remember having this issue when I first got my tab s 10.5. I have reformatted erased and started over and still have the problem. I'm thinking the Samsung update broke this but of course don't know. I want to report this to samsung but don't know how.
Would love a discussion and any help.
Thanks so much.
Anyone please? Opinions greatly appreciated.
While watching Netflix, sometimes the video will freeze but audio continues. However, once I tilt or move the phone it will begin playing again. If I leave it still the video will not resume on it's own. I did not know how to begin to search for a similar problem to this without looking through every "Netflix freezing" post. Anyone else with something similar and a possible fix?
Happens to me... I think it's a Netflix issue for sure. I've been noticing this odd freezing across many devices lately...
Yeah like the previous poster stated there have been issues with Netflix on many devices. My fiance's note 8 has random freezes of video, my Pixel 2 XL, and Shield all have it too. It's not the phone, just a buggy Netflix app.
