You can try flashing the ROM again without wiping anything. It is possible you got a bad download. There has been some of that happening as well. If a second flash doesn't help, try downloading again

same problem
So, I was having a problem where the app "App Trailers" wasn't playing anything, so I thought maybe my root was messing it up, so I followed a video step-by-step without watching it trough first. I was supposed to delete "su" but it was not there so I deleted "sh" and he showed in the next step, not to worry if it's not there go to xbin and I found it there and deleted su and everything related to it from "Xbin". After re-booting, everything was fine, and the root was removed, but my wifi just gave "error" no info. So I read a bit on the internet and it said to try clear cache and restore factory settings but that did not work, so I re-rooted, and still same problem, any tips?
-Thanks!
Bump.
Yr problem has been solved
Some times my phone do like your problem , when I want to turn on wifi it says (error).

If this won't work, reininstall the ROM.
On my stock rom this used to happen regulary with my new rom it stopped doing that.
And please, don't mess with superuser again, if you need to unroot then do it with an unroot.zip.
Still didn't work, and I cant install a new rom cause i cant download clockworkmod from app store

None of the tips worked, I need help please, now its more then wifi after trying this
Hi I left cm10 and went back to arhd because WiFi tethering never worked for me on cm10 but it does on sense ROMs. My devices connect to my phone no problem but there's no internet access (connected android devices show a grey WiFi icon.
So after three months on ARHD I came back to cm thinking it just have been solved by now.
Unfortunately I was wrong.
I am using the the stable cm10.1.2 release and have boot 1.30.
If anyone can shed light on this for me I would greatly appreciate it.

No change. FFS, I don't understand this. :'(
Can anyone help?
I've always gotten along well browsing XDA, (and yes, using the search box ), but I'm at a point where I need some direction / advice.
I been rooted, and I recently got up and running with the Jedi MasterX without any issues. Then yesterday, after a boot I noticed that I had lost root. I actually believe it happened when SuperSU updated from the Play Store. (The message I get now from SuperSU is that "There is no SU binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem. ,...consult forums,..)
I've been trying to figure out the best way to reacquire root. I don't care about Knox status. If someone could point me in the right direction, I would be very thankful.

If youre on a ROM I assume you have a custom recovery. The easiest way is to just flash the supersu zip from chainfire

Thanks for responding kintwofan! I gave this a try (CWM) twice, and it didn't work. I'm still getting the same message from SuperSU. Any other suggestions?

A dirty flash is when you reflash a Rom, clearing cache and dalvik, but not performing an entire factory reset. When I dirty flashed, the main components Rom got put back in place as if it were an initial flash, but my apps, customizations etc were largely untouched.

Wanted the know what is a "dirty flash" and how it is done, got the answer tho: doing a flash without cleaning up the personal files and apps!
Thanks :good:
