Where are the car docs?

i have had my sgt docked in my car (mini clubby) for better part of a year like this:

i'd like to do the same for my note. where can i find decent docs? what are others using?

i sent email to them and they answered they dont know yet when it will be released..

I'm using a generic holder which is now many years old, has served me through a few changes of phone (as has the car it's stuck to), and looks exactly like this one....

Yeah saw that last night. that is eactly like sgt car dock i have, except for a smaller tray.
Seems sorta pricey- i got my sgt one for 39 before a 20% discount. order directly from sammy....
Fwiw the arm/suction aparatus on my sgt dock is rigid and didnt rotate. this really limits mounting options. . this oem gnote one looks like the same (just different tray).
. . . still looking...most of the universal ones seem to have lots of bulky clamping mechanisms. . .yuck. .

How bout that SGP car dock mobile stand that has a clamp and suction cup on its back? It's made for s2 and iPhone. But maybe the clap can extend to accommodate the width of the Note?

I've sent an email to them as well.
I got the answer that they do not have any plans releasing a holder for Galaxy Note, due to the fact that it has not yet been released.
I got the reply from Brodit on the 26th of October so perhaps they are now looking into creating a holder for the Note...
If anyone wants to email them to create a buzz/demand for the holder, please feel free to do so...

I have been told by one supplier on eBay that the official dock is not compatible with the Note while encased in a gel type skin. It's the same story with the desk dock too. That's put a bit of a dampener on them for me, as they were both on my xmas list. However, weighing up pros and cons I'd rather keep the case on the phone than have the convenience of the official dock. A universal dock and a loose lead will have to do for me, which is what I'm using at the moment.

Official G Note car dock should have the micro usb plug on the dock itself so it's possible to just attach the phone to the dock and you get also the power supply without connecting manually the power supply cable . Finally they made it...

Car Dock
I've been using a bracketron vent mount with my galaxy S2 when I got my Note the mount was able to hold it horizontally but not vertically little too much weight up high. When I got the flip case cover I thought this would never work but to my surprise when put the flip top all the way over I can clip the case to the bottom of the mount and holds perfectly in the vertical position. The phone is still supported by the 2 feet at the bottom. The small clip that I used was from Home Depot think it was $.99. Pretty good temporary solution for me.

I've ordered this one should also work with the new gel case ive just got. The case is excellent by the way.

Will wait for a Brodit One. They always provide good product and phone does fit into perfectly

Samsung Car mount question

Does anyone know if the below car mount fits a Samsung note encased in a TPU or nilkin/rock hard case?
I did a measurement of my note in its protective case and found the width is about 85-86mm...so it might be a tight fit, given the maximum width of the arm is 85mm.
Anyone who has bought this mount and has a TPU / Rock / Nilkin case can share his experience would be helpful. Thanks.

I have the car mount (its FANTASTIC BTW). the fit is very tight and I do not think you can leave any case on the device. Aside from a snug fit, you need to snap the power clip in, and it only fits if the device is already snuggly fitted into the mount.

ive got the same one,(I think, certainly looks the same)
but it only fits the original cover.. doesn't even fit the samsung flip cover.

That's the same one I and mkoger have, it is a very good fit for the stock cover but not anything else

I am interested in this mount but there appears to be a lot of unsatisfied user who have problems with it sticking to the dash or the phone sticking to the mount.

I picked up an ILuv car mount at the weekend and it's working great, no wobbles and holds the Note in the flipcase too.

I received this today so will give you a mini review tomorrow after I've given it a test run on my drive to work.

I own original Car kit,
it Does NOT fit Galaxy Note with case
BUT
it DOES fit Galaxy Note in original Flip Cover Case

Ok, I got to test this out today.
Firstly, the unit itself is very nice and compact, it does not take up much space at all.
It sticks to the dash extremely well, not only does the bottom part use suction but it is also very sticky. I tried with a fair bit of force to pull it off and it wasn't moving once stuck to the dash.
My Note is in a Nillkin case so is slightly heavier then standard but I placed it on the two little grooves that stick out, and then firmly pushed it back so it stuck in place. I then drove to work (and later back home). The ride is quite bumpy in parts and I deliberately drove quite aggressively in an attempt to make the Note fall out but it didn't budge. I can see the 'stickiness' being lost over time but apparently cleaning it with a wet cloth fixes that so only time will tell I suppose.
So far I am pleased with it.

Any of you coming from the Streak who purchased the SlipGrip commuter car mount will be interested in knowing the Note will fit into it with a slim case (I'm using the BoxWave).

I assume you dont mount your phone in winter

I want something that will hold it in landscape in the centre dash.
So that's basically the middle of the car (centre) and the highest tip (of dboard) but not on the glass. That way viewing is much much better and the holder doesn't leave a circle smudge.

Btw, in my city if they see the circle smudge or the holder, they break into your car and look for the gps, which costs me a window to repair and any stolen goods.

I'm also a Brodit fan. Problem is I am planning to get the Samsung flip cover which has the replacement back. With my GS2 I just take it out of the case to put it in the passive holder but that won't work with the flip cover. I don't think Brodit do a kind of grip holder to attach to their vent attachment which I use.

The last couple of Brodit holders I've had have been very poor quality. The mounts are ok so I've connected third party holders to the mount.
The holder that I linked to is apparently a Samsung one and looks like it will work with a phone in a case

Samsungs original car mount is disappointing without the ports that the s2 & notes car mount have had.

Some of the sites I've seen show this to be described as a universal adapter, for Galaxy S3 AND other phones, other sites indicates this is designed specifically for the S3, and most don't seem to show a micro usb connection.
What gives? Is this or is this not a specific S3 device?

Yes this time around Samsung has released a generic car mount capable of scoring any Samsung device that covers between 4.7" to 5.3" which is printed in the car mounts box.

I have the Samsung car dock for the s2. It is slightly different- the back hole for the camera is different than that of the pic in the link above for eXpansys. Also the note and gs2 are completely different in size. The one shown in the picture for the expansys website is not adjustable.. at least I can't see any sign of it adjusting.. even the car mount for the s2 is not adjustable for a different device. So it could very well be for the s3
Here is the mount for the s2. Pretty similar but its not the same mount as the one on the expansys link.

Think Samsung have dropped the ball in only providing a universal mount and not one dedicated to the phone. Looks like Im waiting for Brodit.

I will be trying my Exogear exomount when my S3 arrives, its the best universal holder i have had.

I have the Spacemount, and it's fantastic. The only thing I would tell you to beware of is excessive heat (like leaving it hooked on the dashboard during a hot summer day). It'll degrade the amount of stick & suction it has, although mine still works well enough.

Can Anyone Suggest a Good Stand for Galaxy Note?

Hi guys,
As stated in the thread title, I want to use my Note for movie-watching purposes or for tablet-like orientation, so I'll be needing a stand that can hold the note either vertically or horizontally.
I don't feel using those cases with a built-in kickstand since I prefer just thin cases which can easily be put inside the pocket.
So there, any suggestions of a good stand for Galaxy Note?

Bought this stand for my note few weeks back .. quite solid build and can be used for viewing vertically and horizontally
Belkin stand made for tablet but fit just nice for note .. made of aluminium and rubber to prevent scratch on certain areas in contact with note and most importantly adjustable angles ..

I got this on for 5 bucks on clearance at target -

Brodit in car holder for OnePlus One - your help required

Brodit make great in car mounts for all sorts of phones. Custom fit to the phone, and custom fit to the car, the two parts are securely screwed together so that you have a perfect fit. They're really fantastic.
At the moment, I'm not sure if Brodit have plans to build one for the OnePlus One but I would really love this. By far the best in car mounts.

Sure?? I'm finding a good car mount for my oneplus one, brodit was the best for my nexus 4.

Hi There.
I have a brodit holder and was looking for a similar solution for another device (Nexus 7 2012) a couple of years back.
Ended up getting a flexible Gel case for the Nexus 7 and screwed it onto the Brodit holder. Works perfectly and gives great options for mounting. When well screwed on it is a great solution.
I am adapting a OnePlusOne gel case for this and will post some pictures...
And here it is...

I've bought this http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B00D901B4W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Kenu Airframe, cut off the round holder and screwed it on top of my brodit car adapter and it's perfect.
It looks like the brodit universal adapter is hard plastic and could destroy the sandstone black finish.

I also have the one plus one. And searching for a brodit ProClip holder. There are two 62-77 mm and 75-89 mm. Want to use it with an bumper. The one plus one is 75 mm width + bumper width..... Should ill go for the large one? Does it fit in the large one without any bumper?
