Status Update
http://www.cyanogenmod.com/blog/cm9-progress-update
The OG Motorola Droid (TI OMAP 3430 600MHz CPU, PowerVR SGX530 GPU, 256MB RAM) is officially not on the build list of CM9. Chipsets mentioned only go upto the QSD8250 SnapDragon found on the Desire and above. Even MSM7227 (600/800MHz CPU) with the Adreno 200 GPU is not listed so far.

Yeah, I didn't expect it to happen either. At least now we don't have to worry about whether we have the latest cm version

Even if we don't get cm9 we will get ics considering the G1 has ics port...

-- SGX Video Acceleration (in principle, it was available in kernels after 2.6.35, while CM7 has stuck on 2.6.32);
-- DSP, a (better) support is offered in kernels after 2.6.38;
-- Better OMAP Frame Buffer drivers (omapfb): for the Beagleboard development platform they talk in favor of using more software-optimized driver based on NEON extensions, than a SGX hardware accelerated renderer (fbdev).
(info from elinux.org on Beagleboard Debian)
There you go folks...google for further info..
Hope i helped a litlle bit
Okay, I must say, not a good answer from me, but, you know, it actuully will work better.

Don't think the ALPHA1 is going to have the 3.0 kernel yet, don't think it's finished.
If you're really interested in knowing the details, check out http://kernel.org/ and read the change logs...

Just think of it as building a house with the bricks in the design plan. And a 2.6.3x kernel building it with old, worn bricks.
That's your answer

My own benchmark.
Sense 3.5 EQDKP Einstein.frat.
Dust kernel.
Even at 806Mhz there's not an increase in score, for me. It seems my phone isn't bothered whether its at 768 or anything above, it'll still give similar results.

You do have a point. But if screenshots are uploaded users will be able to see individual scored for different aspects of performance. Such as 3D Graphics etc.

HTC one x Gpu overclock ?

Hi guys, I just tried the n.o.v.a.3 and it looks amazing. However when I go into a more complicated sense it lags a lot. I overclocked the CPU using Faux123's kernel but just a little improvement. So it must be the gpu.
P.S. I also read a post that TF201's Gpu is able to lock at 600mhz and it hits 73fps in glbenchmark..... So is there any possible to overclock one x's Gpu?

Yes. Currently its getting basic kernel source stable first is the priority. Then oc and gpu oc will come.

If its laggy then it need to be updated, not overclock the hardware. I doubt there is a game or app that the hox fails to meet the minimum specs and requires you to overclock to meet them.

Ye.....gameloft really needs to work on HOX....though they released Modern Combat 3 for HOX, the graphics is really bad compares to SGS2...Hope the graphics remains awesome after N.o.v.a.3 upgrade....

[Q]Why is 4.0+ MIUI on the Desire soooo laggy?

Hi,
I've tried these two comparisons:
Desire- 1ghz snapdragon and adreno200 gpu
Miui Marange ICS and Miui Vj JB
Galaxy Ace- 800mhz armv6 and adreno200 gpu
Miui Us 2.11.... JB
And Desire is much laggier! Why? just wondering

Galaxy Ace has more devs, therefore they work more on their roms. If we had the Desire devs from one or two years ago, we would be a lot further that we are know.
