CyanogenMod 9 - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Hey guys. Shot in the dark but does anyone know when we can expect to get a release, or even nightly cm9 builds for the GNex?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk

Personally i think that they're more occupied with getting it to work on many of their devices, and when they do, they'll start adding some CM-features, and since we already got the stock build we won't need any nightlies for the "Getting it at all to work"-stuff.
That's just how i see it though.

indeed, there is absolutely no point in the Galaxy Nexus receiving the current nightlies. In fact there is no point for it to get support for Cyanogenmod 9 until the Cyanogenmod extra features start being implemented.
At the moment, it's literally just AOSP ICS. Since we already have actual fully working ICS, there is no need.

The CM Team don't give out ETAs, I think that's the first rule of the CM Team??

If there's one thing I know to be true in this world, it's this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Rumour has it that the team regularly Google for people asking for ETAs, and for each one they find they delay the next release by a day

No, that's fight club It's okay, the mix up happens all the time

Any idea who's on the GN's CM9 dev team? I'm guessing the big guns are (kondik & koush).

I know koush has the GSM version.
I believe, judging from their tweets, that @CM_arcee and @ChrisSoyars also have it or will be getting it.
As for Steve himself, well, he works for Samsung now

Good? For SPH-D710 owners? No.

ICS kernel source is available? It does help! The only thing devs have to fix now is GSM to CDMA.

IK,R? And.... watch the "OMG!!!11! I brckd ma phone with a version uv ICS, I din no it wuz not for ma sprint phone! wtf?" threads start taking over the Q&A section this week, with all the "ICS for Galaxy S II now!" news.
The international version has very little in common with our phone beyond branding. What is good is that there have been numerous leaks for our phone that shows Samsung is close to a release candidate. After a release candidate is reached, expect about a month for it to go through all the testing and approval channels before the official ota is released, but I am sure there are quite a few "leaky" pipes in the testing and approval channel and xda will have it before then.

Why dont you, OP, start by searching around?
There are guides on how to compile aosp, aokp (for toro, if i'm not mistaken) and cm!

Yeah there's guides but I don't think it has destructions to do the type of mix and match I guess. Oh well. Alternate toggles are an OK holdover

there's no easy way, you won't be able to do a sucessful (clean) pull, most likely you'll need to dive into the sauce, and solve some conflicts.
most of this work is made by git, so you will want to start there. branches, adding remote repos, cherry-picking, commits, merging commits and branches, log of each branch.
look at github profiles of CM and TK. browse through the commit history. see how they add the code, which files to edit, etc.
there are a few git tutorials here in xda, i myself have done (well, half of it, i like to think it's on going because i didn't stop learning) a quick guide on it over at i9000 gen forum.
don't think information is not out there. if xda doesn't have it, there lot's of places to look. google is one, for starters. if we found it, so can you.

This is a self-compiled kang of CM10 with cherry picks from CyanogenMod’s Gerrit Instance, most comparable to a CM nightly build. You need not apply if you’re not comfortable with testing out new and possibly broken features. All credit goes to cyanogen, #teamdouche and the coders who submit to Gerrit. Thank you to @RyanMacG for providing Euroskank hosting.
Latest Jellybro build: http://fitsnugly.euroskank.com/?rom=cm10&device=d2att
Latest merges to CM source code: http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#q,status:merged+branch:jellybean,n,z
CyanogenMod's Github: http://github.com/cyanogenmod
Cherry picks and other modifications
If cherry picks disappear, it's because they were merged, abandoned or conflict with the current source or other cherry picks.

All the things Jellybro!
I respect your work.Thanks
Nice work! Just flashed this and it has network mode choice so looks like this is definitely good for people on the Canadian carriers to get LTE without having to do a dirty flash over cm9.
Cool man welcome to the gs3! Your Rom on gnex was one of my favorites!

So is a kernel flash needed and gapps or just gapps?
has anyone tried this on telus yet?
Looks promising, thanks!

Just gapps. Kernel is built in
where do we get the gapps and what happend to google now?
Does this have working A2DP?
I know one of the problem is bluetooth audio output didn't work on CM10 or AOKP, is it working here. That's the only reason why I am held back on flashing something

Is it possible to swap the icons on the navbar? That was the only real problem I ran into on Cna.
Downloading now, and will flash later.
Thanks guys :good:
Only thing I miss that it doesn't have is a torch toggle. Other than that I believe it's a very complete rom.
Edit: Can't change navbar icons yet. Bummer.
It would be nice to know what "mods and edits" mean.

Where is the official CM11 thread?

I can't find an official CM11 thread. I have been on the recent nighties and things have been awesome. Not a single bug that I am aware of and great battery life.
Keep in mind today was a very light usage day but I haven't seen figures like this in a very long time.

I second swordrune, I'm running his rom now and its running great.
nerds, how much keep awake time is google play using on yours? I had an issue where play was killing me basically staying on all the time. I reflashed everything and it seems to be better but I didnt enable ART this time. Don't know if that caused the issue or not.
It's kind of a shame cause some of us use XDA as a list of ROMs avaliable. I was very late to try PA2 cause there wasnt a thread in the dev section.
