Just wondering if this could end up being useful for us on kindle fire. I have yet to root my kindle to try any of this but maybe someone less lazy would want to take a gander or something.

I tried but could not get it to work
Edit: I got it to work I have yet to see what happens

You really need to read the instructions and follow them to a T. I've noticed a decrease in lag especially in the Silk Browser.
I've installed this on another tablet and phone and it works great. Didn't try on my Fire since I don't multitask with it like those others. Just make sure to follow the part in the instructions about using script manager to run the 99whatever script file at boot time and you should be good.

I've noticed that the factory settings are pretty high as it is.

Been trying this since rooting. I normally move the script to /system/xbin and run through terminal emulator.
Would not run, Even with script manager I got permission problems.
in terminal sh script name works after su.
After rebooting though the minfrees are back to Kindle Fire standard.
It does say the launcher is "SUPERCHARGED!".
Installed the V6 supercharger and lowered my quadrant score from 2900+ to 2400+, Not good..
Humm I installed it along with sd speed increase and took my aututu scores from 6200 to 6400. I used option 8.
So I got to playing around and I too found that my quadrant scores did come up after unsupercharging.
Rockin' the Miui Incredible 2 w/xda premium
Made my kindle a bit sluggish so I removed it...Worth a try I guess.
improved my quadrant scores from 1700 to 2000

Seems to be working wounders running on cm7. Ran the script this morning to adjust system kill levels as Auto-killer does nothing but force close on me.

If you don't mind sharing I'd like to know how you have it set up exactly, I usually use auto killer and it now fc's on me also.
Is very easey, Google and download V6 supercharger. Should see a guide in the first few posts that contain a download link. After downloading the zip extract and place the script in the root of the SD card (main SD card directory, not inside a folder) then do the following,
Download busybox installer from the market and then install an older version like 1.17.1. The script apparently has issues with newer versions above 1,17.1 so be carefull as by default the busybox installer app will have the latest version selected for the installation. Think its something like 1.19.
Download script manager from the market and select browse as root and then select the script you extracted to the SD card and the script will run.
Once it runs the only option I used was option 10 witch will ask you to set a value for each slot like autokiller. thre is also a few preset values listed as options 1-9. After you add a value for each slot enter 16 to exit the script. Will need to reboot the first time but after that the script can be run and values changed without needing to reboot.
The values to set depends on the apps installed. I like to customize the values so the apps I use the most often are more likly to stay in memory. The nice thing about autokiller is that you can view your processes and see what slot is controlling each app so you get an idea of what apps each slot is controlling.
I have version 8 running on cm7 an it makes a big difference (I use option 9) . Ran it on my old tab and on my Evo and it helps a lot with multi tasking and with interface smoothness. Haven't tried it on the stock ROM yet.

Debated on running v6 or v8 but being it was the first time I used the script decided to go with the version with the most documentation just in case I needed to do a bit of troubleshooting. In Philly and snowed in for the day so will probably be running v8 within a few hours.

Thanks, just gave it a spin but unfortunately I'm getting horrible home screen lag. Reverted back to an update 7 release and everything is back to its former smoothness.
I just tried this out I'm running CM7 with thestock kernel and governor set to performance. I selected option 9.

FroydVillain 1.1.9 INFO & Release Notes:
Hi folks, ninpo has been working on this one non-stop for the past few days, so he is having a well-earned rest, and I'll write up this release.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
REMEMBER the ROM will only be at peak performance after it's been rebooted a couple of times, and when you've opened your apps once prior.
adb install won't work on this ROM, until you tick "Unknown Sources" in the Menu > Settings > Applications menu.
This appears to be a new security feature. Similarly, apps pushed to /data/app won't work either. You might not notice the issue, but the app does not get any of its permissions it should have, meaning that it is probably useless, and might FC constantly or whatever. So remember to tick the Unknown Sources box
VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
When you install this ROM, DO NOT USE GOOGLE BACKUP OR RESTORE. It really slows the ROM down, like all Froyo ROMs, and it uses loads of battery even when you think you're not doing anything. So it's not cool. So turn it off in the setup wizard
This ROM does NOT come with the optimal kernel installed. It comes with a safe one. You NEED to read the section "kernels" below for more information about these, and which to choose Then, once installed, open the app "CPUSpeed" and set up your CPU speeds. This ROM uses the interactive governor, which gives much better battery than other governors... So, set interactive as the main governor, then set your minimum and maximum. Then repeat this for sleep mode. If you have a 352MHz base kernel, set both the max and min sleep speeds to be 352 MHz
So... What's changed?
[*]CAMERA WORKS FOR VIDEO AND PHOTOS (thx cyanogen)
Includes DSPManager
Autobrightness fixed
Includes new CPUSpeed app- no need for SetCPU
Faster boot process
New boot animation
Pressing menu twice will unlock screen
Big kernel changes (more info to follow)
Different build method to improve binary performance
So... How do I get it?
A full wipe is MANDATORY for this ROM, regardless of what you're upgrading from
See here for download information etc.

awesome rom, tested a bit and i'm finally gonna drop my 2.1
Just FYI, the two kernel variants (19MHz base or 352MHz base) are for the two different types of Hero users. One group apparently cannot put their phone to sleep at anything less than 352MHz or all hell breaks loose and the others can set low speeds no problem.
So choose based on your past overclocking methods.
EDIT: I'll post a kernel changelog tomorrow. Too tired now. Lots and lots and lots and lots of fixes though.
Just one more quick little question if y'all don't mind.
Does this release include the stock keyboard dictionaries that were missing in 1.1.1? Like Dutch etc.

No need to wipe anything when flashing a kernel.

Yeah it's a bug, my fault. I cheat and use Cyanogen's repo so I don't have to make my own Hero vendor/devices. I didn't strip CMparts out properly in this one.

Before applying this tweak remove Ram apps, ram scripts, also Setcpu or Nofrills and other cpu and memory optimizers.
1. Install Script Manager from the market.
2. Download V6 supercharger and kickasskernel scripts from V6 Supercharger thread.
3.Open Script manager then configure it in config as check browse as root and uncheck enable gestures.
4. Open Es file explorer then in settings check root explorer and mount files. copy V6 super charger and kickasskernel script click the star and choose Phone then paste it there.
5. Run script manager and keep pressing /../ until your in the main folder, choose kickasskernel and check run as root. press 1 to install dont add io scheduler, wait for it to finish.
6. When finish press back key then click V6 supercharger script then check run as root. choose 3 in option slow scroll. enable init.rc. then type 19 in selection for nitro lag, after it finishes. type 6 for ledded settings this is my prefered. when finish. it will ask if you like superclean just type y for yes and your phone will reboot. just wait for it to boot.

Try to go to recovery and ADB and delete /system/etc/init.d/98KickAssKernel and leave only 99SuperCharger. If it still doesn't boot also delete 99SuperCharger.
And try again using my download links.
Otherwise it may not be compatible with ur phone model, but it works on my wildfire s.
battery calibrator fixed my fast battery drain. you have to fully charge it then don't unplug it run script, reboot, remove plug, reboot.
Does it work with Salsa Euro Rom or it doesn't need to use it ?
Works on any rom.
I tried it but after 3 reboots I didn't notice some changes.
Even I saw little lags that I haven't got before.
I followed links and download only kickasskernel and supercharger. I did everything you written, but I'm not sure that I did all the wright process.
May I ask you to make us a more detail tutorial ?
Dear jikantaru
As you said, here is my on going process in V6 supercharger script :
Scrolling speed - Set to 3
Integrate SuperCharged init.rc - Enter Y
Is Home is Locked in Memory - Y/N (confused)
What should i select here ?
If i select Y, it shows "WHAT? You need to disable this feature!" Press return key... and get Get Some!!
If i select N, it shows "Good Stuff" Press return key... and get Get Some!!
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
2nd issue :
At this option selecting N and enter 2 times, after that It's went and complete your said procedure without any error. Then start to using this phone from 17.11.11 07:17 PM to when editing my previous issue and its remain only 24% now.
As my observation I think battery draining is not over since it is using. With a great thanks, i'm really wanna keep your ROM.
So kindly may I know where is the mistake or the way of right.
Thanks..
Just finished applying this to your XE Asian ROM
From the Euro 1.1 to the XE Asian to the supercharged version I have gone up in leaps and bounds in the Quadrant Standard Benchmarks.

@ jikantaru:
BTW in V6 SuperCharger Update 9 RC4 type "20" in selection for nitro lag.
Can you update your guide? Thanks.
Let me chime n with another "it's great" to this thread. Its helped on number of Android devices for me and friends I've told about it. It really helps small memory devices like the Wildfire S.
For the person confused about the home locked in memory question...
Some of the 3rd party home replaements have a feature that tries to keep the home app from being killed by the Android memory manager, i.e. keep it locked in memory, and you need that feature turned off for the changes made by the script to function correctly. The person who created the script got tired of people saying it didn't work properly because they didn't read the instructions with the script so he added the explicit question to stop that from being an issue. The stock HTC Sense launcher doesn't have that as an option so n for "no" in the correct answer.

Thanks for this.
Installed Rom and apps no issues.
Couple of things I noticed.
On initial start up, it says it is skipping Wifi setup, then takes you to the Wifi setup screen.
Love the battery icon, but the Network icon is still there, any chance you could remove that ?
I like that you have included a file manager, I keep my backups on the external card. It was a bit of a pain as I had to go to the market to get Es file manager just to get to the External card with the other rooms.
Wallpapers are a nice touch but I find they do not scale correctly ? That's why I have to use Wallpaper Slide show to sort out scaling ?
Have not tried OTG yet, but I feel its an app issue to get that working for large internal drives.
Seems to be a problem with the md5 checksum for the rom. I've downloaded the file on 2 computers and on my Xoom. All three report a checksum of B6C410298E5816E3DE1AB206FC1BFBE5. Not a match. Well, going to assume the one in the OP is incorrect and flash it anyway. It's the old no pain, no gain thing I guess.
Flashed and up and running. Haven't been running it long enough to check everything out but I like what I see so far. Very responsive and running smooth.
Thanks for the ROM kejar. Nice, just as one would expect from you. Only thing I know of so far that could use a little tuning is that md5 sum in the OP. . Thanks again.
So great to see you on the xoom cant wait for all the awesomeness to come

**** IMPORTANT ****
MIUI does not like the stock 160 density, but google play does not like the density greater than 160 which MIUI needs to work. If you have issues with apps not being compatible, try changing the dpi to 160, clearing google play data and cache and reboot. Once you can access the apps correctly you can go ahead and switch back to a higher DPI. I currently use 180 with good results but you can play with it from the MIUI.us Toolbox Extras tab.
This is the second build of MIUI.us for the Kindle Fire and it is getting better. I am aware that the Phone shows up and you can simply hide that away in a folder for now. It's part of the contacts and requires resigning things to get it to play nice with the system. Right now I am more interested in getting the major stuff worked out and then fine tune the minor things.
Please make sure to follow the instructions in the OP regarding the density issue. This has worked for me thus far and I highly recommend you do it too. MIUI does not like the native 160 dpi setting of our device and there are a few apps that will FC and some layouts just will not look right. Hopefully I can get time to come up with an elaborate way to make it work with our DPI or if we are lucky, miui.com will put some effort into their ROM for tablets.
FYI: The navigation bar height in the MIUI.us Toolbox is currently not implemented in the framework and MiuiSystemUI so you won't see any changes when playing with that. I left it in by mistake but it's there now so I just wanted to give you a heads up before people start complaining about it, although I'm sure with this being the 3rd post in the thread it will probably be overlooked .
** one more since i like the number three **

you need to modify Build.prop and flash it. Why do you back to 160 dpi? I modifed to 240 dpi now, the navbar is so big. My solution is to use "fullscreentooglev2.apk" and "LMT.apk" like gesture to back, home, and .... If you want to back to 160 dpi, here your flash file, flash it with Twrp. http://www.mediafire.com/?dxscxfacln467cu
Fyi, when you're in miui toolbox, and you click to choose a color, and then you press and hold to try and copy the hex code, it results in a reboot.

you dont need to reflash anything. just go into the build.prop with something like root explorer and open it with a text editor. change the dpi value from 200 to 160 then save and exit and reboot. Rom toolbox is handy for this as well becuase you can just go into the build prop editor and use a slider to set the dpi then hit save.
flashing now, looks promising!
>>> Welcome to Turbo ZRAM!! V2.1b <<<
UPDATED TO WORK WITH LATEST KT KERNEL
===============================
What is Turbo ZRAM?
It is a unique performance mod which sets up 4 parallel zram swaps for kernels with the zram module. The swaps are set to run at the same priority so the Linux kernel is able to multi-thread the swap process on our powerful quad core devices. Zram runs super fast with no lag
What does zram do in the first place?
Zram is a virtual disk which resides in RAM itself. App data sitting in the memory is compressed while it is not in use to 1/3 its original size. Effectively your phone has more memory!
Regular single-swap zram can lag considerably while it compresses/decompresses the swap data. Turbo zram solves this issue
Why would we need zram on a device with 2GB of RAM?
Well it depends on what you want to do with your device but why wouldn't you want to effectively create more memory out of thin air?
Also Samsung TW has notorious LAG and multi-tasking issues which this mod solves. The zram swaps keep the memory from maxing out as often so the TW lag is almost eliminated...
Finally, Multi-tasking is MASSIVELY boosted. You can keep more big apps running in memory without them being killed too early... test this yourself you will be able to multitask without hiccups to your hearts content.
===============================
This mod now comes in a stand-alone init.d boot-script version as well as the main app version.
The scripts come in 3 size choices as flashable CWM zips which also set up the reuired dedicated busybox

Turbo ZRAM app V1.2c:
>>> I Finally figured out how to set the swaps via init.d script!... Set on boot now runs via init.d
>>> App no longer needs a running service so takes up less RAM.
>>> Commands further tweaked to rely on the custom busybox. This should help people experiencing issues due to the wrong busybox setup.

THIS MOD REQUIRES A KERNEL WITH ZRAM SET UP AS A MODULE IN /system/lib/modules/. IT IS DESIGNED FOR KT KERNELS TW VERSIONS WHICH HAVE THIS SETUP
Tried your latest build and new app but still showing 0 on used. I'm running shostock on latest kt touchjiz kernel. Any advice? I flashed the custom busybox you provided. Even uninstall sterricson busybox from play store running only your custom busybox still no go. Install busbox from the market in conjunction with your busybox still nothing. Any thoughts? Thanks

Argh! Such an annoying bug!! Um try this. Try removing set on boot. Then switch your phone off. Then reboot and use the app to set the swaps

Hey mate V1.2d was a lemon rushed the release. Try V1.2e and flash the Busybox CWM zip instead of using the app auto install. Hopefully it will work

::::UPDATE:::: I too am receiving 0KB on all 4.

KT is about to release an update with the 4 zram swaps baked into the kernel so once I update the mod it should be more stable

I have it running on Darthstalker S4. I am not understand where you guys are seeing 0kb. My Antutu does however crash and reboot when I run it now.
I read in the main thread that someone had ComaDose installed, they removed it and it worked for them. I have ComaDose installed so maybe there is a conflict in that. Haven't gotten around to removing it and trying it again. Very interested in seeing this mod in action.

ComaDose will clash with the set on boot innit.d script however setting manually in-app should still work
