>>> Welcome to Turbo ZRAM!! V2.1b <<<
UPDATED TO WORK WITH LATEST KT KERNEL
===============================
What is Turbo ZRAM?
It is a unique performance mod which sets up 4 parallel zram swaps for kernels with the zram module. The swaps are set to run at the same priority so the Linux kernel is able to multi-thread the swap process on our powerful quad core devices. Zram runs super fast with no lag
What does zram do in the first place?
Zram is a virtual disk which resides in RAM itself. App data sitting in the memory is compressed while it is not in use to 1/3 its original size. Effectively your phone has more memory!
Regular single-swap zram can lag considerably while it compresses/decompresses the swap data. Turbo zram solves this issue
Why would we need zram on a device with 2GB of RAM?
Well it depends on what you want to do with your device but why wouldn't you want to effectively create more memory out of thin air?
Also Samsung TW has notorious LAG and multi-tasking issues which this mod solves. The zram swaps keep the memory from maxing out as often so the TW lag is almost eliminated...
Finally, Multi-tasking is MASSIVELY boosted. You can keep more big apps running in memory without them being killed too early... test this yourself you will be able to multitask without hiccups to your hearts content.
===============================
This mod now comes in a stand-alone init.d boot-script version as well as the main app version.
The scripts come in 3 size choices as flashable CWM zips which also set up the reuired dedicated busybox

Turbo ZRAM app V1.2c:
>>> I Finally figured out how to set the swaps via init.d script!... Set on boot now runs via init.d
>>> App no longer needs a running service so takes up less RAM.
>>> Commands further tweaked to rely on the custom busybox. This should help people experiencing issues due to the wrong busybox setup.

THIS MOD REQUIRES A KERNEL WITH ZRAM SET UP AS A MODULE IN /system/lib/modules/. IT IS DESIGNED FOR KT KERNELS TW VERSIONS WHICH HAVE THIS SETUP
Tried your latest build and new app but still showing 0 on used. I'm running shostock on latest kt touchjiz kernel. Any advice? I flashed the custom busybox you provided. Even uninstall sterricson busybox from play store running only your custom busybox still no go. Install busbox from the market in conjunction with your busybox still nothing. Any thoughts? Thanks

Argh! Such an annoying bug!! Um try this. Try removing set on boot. Then switch your phone off. Then reboot and use the app to set the swaps

Already tried your suggestion still no go. I can see 6 swaps 4 active swaps but 0mb in use of the 4 swaps. Anyway thanks I may wait for the bugs to be ironed out cause this looks promising. :good:

Hey mate V1.2d was a lemon rushed the release. Try V1.2e and flash the Busybox CWM zip instead of using the app auto install. Hopefully it will work

OK, it installed, said I had the correct BusyBox, and set on boot. Im on GoldenEye 6.1 with KT's 8/25 kernel. Then you mentioned it takes a few minutes to settle and run correct? Im not seeing a difference yet. Will report back. Thanks!
::::UPDATE:::: I too am receiving 0KB on all 4.

KT is about to release an update with the 4 zram swaps baked into the kernel so once I update the mod it should be more stable

I have it running on Darthstalker S4. I am not understand where you guys are seeing 0kb. My Antutu does however crash and reboot when I run it now.
I read in the main thread that someone had ComaDose installed, they removed it and it worked for them. I have ComaDose installed so maybe there is a conflict in that. Haven't gotten around to removing it and trying it again. Very interested in seeing this mod in action.

ComaDose will clash with the set on boot innit.d script however setting manually in-app should still work

Hello everyone ! This is my first app I had created for my personal use but thought of sharing with everyone. So everyone can try and get benefited and let me know if I missed anything.
I am considering request if you want something particular, let me know.
This custom zip is very aggressive to delete un-needed apps.
No matter what custom rom you are running, as far as its T-Mobile SGS3 running Stock based Custom or Stock Rooted ROMs, this tool will work well.

Need details on what you are removing ??? Most of it is self explanatory otherwise Google is your friend or reply to this thread, I will get back to you.
As committed in past, I will update OP with details on each apk once I get some time.
There are many checkboxes pre-selected which can be removed without any probs (atleast in my opinion). In my knowledge everything works, even Kies
Make sure to have Nandroid backup before you run it.
Benefits:
1. Insane Battery life, obviously Less running apps
2. Trim any ROM you want with easy options
3. Bloat any ROM as many times we install custom ROMs and miss one or another apk, Trim/Bloat any ROM will help easy installation of removed apk.
4. Fully customized with aroma
Steps to install:
1. Download TrimAnyRom and copy .zip to External SDCard.
2. Make Nandroid Backup of ROM.
3. Boot into Recovery (TWRP Recomemded)
4. Wipe Cache/Dalvik
5. Install ZIP
6. Reboot System
7. Enjoy

Add-On:
Samsung Kies: I usually need Kies for syncing outlook with my S3, sometimes it doesn't work in few ROM due to pre-deleted files.
Also, if you use my app and do full debloat, it deletes kies features.
Anyway, I made recovery flashable ZIP for installing all needed files into S3.
You can download it from HERE

No matter what custom rom you are running, as far as its T-Mobile SGS3 running Stock based Custom or Stock Rooted ROMs, this tool will work well.

Since you're specifying "stock based custom" roms, I'm assuming this rules out any CM based (CM, AOKP, AOSP, PA, etc). Or is it possible to add some of this bloat to a CM rom also?

I believe Most of it should work except Samsung optional category. They are closely tied with Samsung framework. You may give a try for other and let us know if works.
It doesn't harm as far as you have backup.

Works on DARTHSTALKER S3 EDITION VERSION #7 ROM.....thanks mate awesome tool....rid my TMO SGS3 of lots un-needed apps.
This is awesome! I'm going to give this a try.
OP, Is it possible to have two separate zips instead? A debloater and a bloater? The download for the debloating guys like me is too much. Lol. Also if you needed to update either zip, it wouldn't be both parties that would have to redownload. Not a huge deal, but if you would consider the option it'd be nice.

Rom Bugs :
Soft reboot when connecting to usb storage via pc. Its a known Slim Bean 3.1 issue. Slim Bean doesn't like apps moved to sd card. After soft reboot you can continue to connect via usb and it will work. As long as no apps are moved to sd card, there will be no soft reboot. Looking for a possible work around..stay tuned.
If you are using a newer HBOOT/OTA'd HTC One V and have to use the custom kernel for the rom, blue tooth has minor issues revolving around using voice over blue tooth.

Nice Job. I saw you on AndroidForums and was about to tell you to post here. This ROM is smooth, fast, and stable. Haven't really tested anything yet cause I haven't paid my bill but so far so good. Keep it up.

Thank you but Llior is really the one responsible for this being a great rom. Its my current rom because everything works. Although the updated Blue Sense is a second for me. It was in pretty bad shape when I started on it but runs very well now. Its a definite daily. Now ckpv5's mySense-v is a great alternative. Im just a user tinkering around. No developer thats for sure lol.
ota fix kernel added to OP credit goes to lilrob1213.
Sweet ... Thanks lilrob
Don't give me full credit, I used kernel kitchen to make the kernel ota compatible but its not my kernel its awidawads from rhythmic and Simons from sick kernel but you're welcome
On a side note here is my interesting problem with this ROM... see pic
thats fair but thank you for the work you have done on it regardless. as for that out of space message you were getting. is it occuring in recovery when installing or after install? it could be something in the kernel or a bad rom download. i never get that issue when installing the rom.
EDIT: ok just saw the pic. i assume you have plenty of space on your memory card and still get the message. could it be the kernel?
It's saying your sdcard? Is it full?
im thinking its the game (meaning if that particular game is not fully compatible with 4.1.2 then it may give some unexpected errors..hard to say),or some space is needed on the sdcard.

yeah im no gamer either. but im guessing with this rom not being so memory dependent, it should be a good daily for gamers. i use it because at least in the things ive used it for,it works great. even HD video works (in landscape).

Nah i noticed it said sd card and i thought that was weird cuz it's not even installed on my sd card.... but it was a restore from my titanium backup of the game, so I uninstalled it and just installed from play and it seems to work... I just have to see if I can restore data only and hopefully my high score is saved lol
This rom is perfect EXCEPT bluetooth audio to headset (phone) does not work.
Any ideas on how to fix ???
This rom runs great. The only problem I'm having is that i only have about ~70 mb of ram at any given time. The only thing i have open right now is xda.

Sorry for the double posting but this is a new issue. Looks like Wifi borked after I rebooted it. It worked fine on first and second reboot. Didn't make any changes before rebooting in settings. Might re-flash.

Yeah, Usually on a fresh reboot I can get those numbers (120-180) but after a couple hours or so it wouldn't get passed ~70. I'm really trying to find out how Wifi borked. I had it happen on another rom as well but can't remember which.....it might have been the old version of slim bean but I could definitely be wrong..
Edit: Just a little clarity on the Wifi issue. It said wifi was working and connected, but nothing connected to the internet. Facebook, xda, the browser, etc. Nothing connected. I even let it sit idle for a couple of hours while playing Skyrim and came back to it. Still wouldn't connect.
the bluetooth to headset is an issue with the 4.1 ota fix kernel. i use wifi daily and never get the wifi issue, the memory issue i never get either. one question. are those who are getting these issues using the kernel in the rom or the ota fix kernel by lilrob1213? also if you are using "facecrap" expect it to suck your memory like a vampire on a bloody kfc chicken leg..just saying. facebook, chrome, etc are all memory consumers to the max. that isnt an issue with the rom that is an issue with a crap app.

Introducing codefireXperiment for your device! This OP is going to stay slim and bloat free, just like codefireXperiment. No marketing buzzwords either.
We take such confidence in the speed and performance of this distribution, we challenge you to find a faster and more stable one!
Warning: we only support anykernel methods of custom kernel installation.
Here's a bit of info you may want on this project for how we do things differently:
CLICK HERE to find out more about the new team working on this project since our TeamEOS merger.
No features you don't need which slow the device down, or put your data at risk of being stolen. If you want to give it away, it should be your decision.
A fast and clean install with no UX decisions made for you. You make the ROM whatever you would like.
A team constantly exploring totally new feature sets and optimizations geared toward you, the user
We utilize a plethora of optimizations in a build system unlike any other:
Each build has a toolchain built for your device at the time of build. No more generic toolchain android builds.
Consistently updated upstream toolchain module source with our custom backports, fixes, and optimizations applied in a patch at build time.
Fully built utilizing Link Time Optimization (another custom ROM first). Feel free to Google this one a bit to get an idea of the performance gain.
Many repositories have code fixes, cleanups, and many minor optimizations which are too generous to even speak of here.
Optimizations are toggled on and off based on device for the best experience we can achieve for your device without sacrificing any stability
Many Qcom optimizations and AOSP master (upstream) optimizations and fixes using device specifications to determine usage.
Fully built utilizing strict aliasing and isognu++11 mode.
Full "-O3" build. To those who don't know, this is the highest "optimization level" available in gcc that sets many other flags.

In order to fix your issues we need a log of your error.
Just telling us "it's broken" doesn't help anyone fix it. This would be the same as going to the doctor and telling him "I don't feel good. Fix me." and providing no other information.
There are numerous ways to get a log of errors.
Install CatLog from the Play Store.
Open the app & set the "Log Level" to error.
Do whatever causes your error.
Save the error text file & post it here or on one of those logging site (ie pastebin.com).
You can use ADB to capture the errors as well.
Plug your phone into a computer & open a terminal/command prompt.
adb logcat > C:\path\you\can\find\logname.txt
Do whatever causes your error.
CTRL+C
Save the error text file & post it here or on one of those logging site (ie pastebin.com)

How to install:
First step for everything you do: Create a nandroid backup and make sure you know how to restore it!
I'm not responsible for anything you do with your phone/tablet/rice cooker.
There is also the risk to soft-brick your device. In such a case, restoring a backup is the easiest way to get rid of it (other possibilities mentioned below).

Meaning they only support kernels that don't change the Rom s ramdisk, like Tiny's or Lean. When you install Franco kernel or Fancy they come with their own ramdisk, so if you have any issues with the Rom they will not answer your questions.

I see. So does anyone know if ASKP kernel falls under that category of being unsupported? I'm gonna check Amps thread later but wondering if anyone knows off the top of their head.

Android 4.3.1 ROM based on Cyanogenmod 10.2 nightlies
Tweaked for performance and battery life while retaining a stock CM experience. This rom is for the people out there who love CM and want to see it fly.
Want to see this rom go even faster? Use Nova or Apex launcher, and, inside developer options, set window animation scale, transition animation scale, and animator duration scale all to 0.5x.
Additions like HALO are not included to keep the bloat down, but can be included in future releases upon popular demand. I'm open to all suggestions or requests.
Changes from CM:
performance tweaks
network speed tweaks
sd read/write tweaks
other build.prop changes
zipaligned
init.d script support
uber kernel
compiled with linaro
custom boot animation
Viper Audio
removed stock apps:
CMFileManager.apk
CMWallpapers.apk
DSPManager.apk
LiveWallpapers (removed all live wallpapers, but live wallpaper picker left in place so you can still use your own)
(Think any other stock apps are just bloat and can be removed? Let me know)
Installation Instructions:
Warning: by installing this rom you accept all risks of modifying your phone. If anything goes wrong, whether it be bricking the phone or Godzilla attacking you, you take full responsibility.
Must be on a newer recovery and baseband, same deal as all other 4.3 roms.
1. Download the rom and 4.3 GAPPS to your phone.
2. Full wipe (cache, dalvik, system and data) if coming from a different rom or Android version, only cache and dalvik wipe if upgrading from a previous version of this rom or from stock CM
3. Install the rom
4. Install the GAPPS
5. Install any other kernels or mods you like (I'm personally a fan of the Fly On Mod)
6. Reboot. Wait until it finishes and boots up fully
Optional: 7. Give it 10 minutes to settle.
Recommended: 8. Install TricksterMod and change the governor from interactive. I prefer InterectiveX or OnDemandX, both of which go nicely with sio

Viper Audio Tips
Run the Viper app to set up the audio. You can choose between regular ound quality, super quality, or battery saving quality.
If you want to use any other sound mods along side Viper (I'm a fan of Noozxoide), be sure to go into the Viper app, hit the settings key and turn on the "compatible mode"
Want better sound quality? Check out the Impulse Response Sampling starter pack here: http://vipersaudio.com/blog/?page_id=115
Head to Viper's homepage for more info about this awesome mod: http://vipersaudio.com/blog/
Special Thanks: To Cl3Kener, for his Uber kernel and his awesome Develop Now! guide.
To Team Chopsticks, and the Cyanogenmod crew.
To fcortes626, ViPER520 and zhuhang.
To Samsung, Google, XDA, and anyone else I forgot to mention (let me know and I'll add you to the list)

There's an issue with the current version that may cause some overheating and lowers performance, building a fixed version now. It should be up soon!
By the way, themes used in the screenshot (not included since they're from the Play store) Hologlass [beta] (which is free) and Minimal UI for the icons (costs 1.50, and is worth it). Launcher is Nova Launcher.

Lol, what?
EDIT: OP updated with new download link (or get it here: https://copy.com/zaO810YHgIMG ). I'd recommend wiping system if you've already flashed 10-23-13 (data should be fine, doesn't need to be wiped).
Thanks for providing us with yet another choice to flash. If I end up in rehab because I can't quit flashing I'm going to blame all the XDA Dev's.
I did a full wipe while installing but during the initial set-up I kept getting SOD's and freeze ups. I wiped and re-flashed several times but ended up with the same results. Any suggestions on what to try next? Thanks again for this.
That's odd, I didn't have any issues with the initialization thing. Is it locking up on a specific page? Maybe try giving it a few minutes to settle, then reboot and initialize once it starts back up again. This might be an issue with how the rom is using the default governor, performance is oddly bad until you change it from interactive.

That makes sense. I've read where some ROMs don't perform well until you change the governor. Through out my attempts I was able to get to the home screen only once. I usually let it settle for 5 minutes. I'll let it settle for 10 and see how it goes.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using Tapatalk
Edit: Still no go. Same thing as before. I made it as far as downloading Trickster and was able to change the governor and it ran for a few minutes then froze on me. Not sure what else to do.
That's really odd, I've been running the rom just fine :/ It's freezing up after initialization as well? But still, thanks for still trying out the rom and letting me know about the issues Building a new version now, it should be posted early tomorrow. Changes include cm update, linaro update, and even more build.prop tweaks. It should be much faster than the current version!
Edit: On a side note, mind if I ask which recovery and gapps you're using? I'm on twrp 2.6.1.0, with the regular 20130813 signed gapps, and lag at initialization was noticable but not cripplingly bad. No freezes or reboots for me either :/
Edit again: New download link is up in the op, or get it here: https://copy.com/dgUwgEErqVnl
Let me know how the performance is!
New version seems to be much quicker than before! I tried a full wipe with it and had no lag at all, not even with the default governor.

New twrp being 2.6.1.3 or .4? I've heard some people complain about issues with it, from what I could tell 2.6.1.0 seemingly being more stable. But the newest update for the rom is much more responsive, just give it a try and let me know how it goes

CyanogenMod 11.0
Android 4.4 KitKat
Here it is, freshly built off the source for our device
Enjoy KitKat in all it's glory!
Bugs are expected but major functions are all working, rock stable and good enough for daily driver
Working:
- Cell & data
- Camera & cam
- External SD card
- Mms
- Music & videos
- Wifi, Gps, Bluetooth
- Etc, pretty much everything
Known Bugs:
- Auto-rotation won't work for 20-30 seconds after you turn on the screen
- If you leave 4g in network settings, you can't get back to it only 2g and 3g options are there
- Stock AOSP Keyboard FCs for some users when you swipe, using Google Keyboard from the play store fixes the issue
- You tell us
Instructions *READ CAREFULLY*:
1 - Install CWM recovery. Rom Manager app is good for that (TWRP needs update you will have no signal flasthing with it)
2 - Wipe clean
3 - Flash ROM
4 - Flash Gapps
5 - Flash W03Tweaks for maximum experience
In developer options you can turn on ART runtime, blazing fast! For it you have to use odexed Gapps, link below
With ART you will loose Superuser root access. Download and flash SuperSU to fix the issue, link below
----------
DOWNLOAD ROM
ROM Mirror
DOWNLOAD 4.4 PARANOID ANDROID ODEXED GAPPS
Gapps Miror
DOWNLOAD CM11 W03Tweaks
W03Tweaks Miror
Download SuperSU for root with ART turned on
Flash it in recovery
----------
Thanks to CyanogenMod heads and paranoid Android for their odexed Gapps \o/
I will try to build these daily, as possible
Enjoy!
-----------------------------------------------------
I present to you W03Tweaks, an all-in-one performance and battery pack made for our t0lte CM11 builds, with the hardware of our device in mind. You flash it in recovery after the rom and gapps, grant root to Seeder and enjoy the ultimate speed. Everything there is to optimize is optimized, killer combo with ART turned on!
The way it's build makes it compatible with current and future versions of the rom, simply re-flash it when you update the rom / gapps
Info about Seeder entropy generator: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1987032
What's in there:
CM11 W03Tweaks v1.01 - 20 nov 2013
- Boosted headphone volume. Let's say our hardware capability is 0db, stock CM value was -7db, and our new value is +3db. So +10db boost. Note at full volume you might get a bit of audio clipping if your music is loud and well peaked, just take it down a notch
CM11 W03Tweaks v1.00 - 16 nov 2013
- Simplified multi-core handling
- Tweaks to PegasusQ governor, for optimal speed and battery
- ROW default CPU scheduler
- Seeder entropy generator, to replenish the pool of random data need by the UI
- Disabled gentle-fair sleepers = better deep sleep
- AFTR+LPA sleep mode = better deep sleep
- 2048kb storage read-ahead = better sd cards performance
- Fixed Android 4.3+ possible battery drain related to gsiff_daemon
- Built-in ad-block host file
- Optimised gps.conf = more solid and faster GPS lock
- OTA android 4.4 media sounds (ringtones, alarms, notif, etc.)
- Samsung Note 2 media sounds
- Greater virtual memory values for our big 2gb RAM
- Slower wifi scan = better battery
- Other deep sleep tweaks
- Disabled useless error-checking (logcat still works)
- Optimized mobile data connection (TCP buffers and fixed radio settings)
- Enabled AMR wideband calls for carriers that supports it
- Replaced Dialer and Telephony icon with Google OTA icons

This thing is solid, no hiccups, smooth transitions, and fast! I got stuck with the wrong version of cwm I tried the touch version rather than the original volume rocker and power button combo version, and the flash failed repeatedly. Twrp was just updated so anybody who's a fan could update and try to flash with that recovery but of course not having done so myself it's just an idea!
Please hit "thanks" as I have low self esteem and crave validation from strangers.

Tried the new TWRP and no signal bars sadly. Could be because Ive got the N7105 model. But could flash other other Roms and restore backups okay on new TWRP but yeah no signal. Only" bug" people should really run into is when using ART titanium backup and whatsapp will fc as soon as you try to open them. Everything else seems rock solid. If anyone is interested these Mods work with CM11 nightlies.
