CyanogenMod 11.0
Android 4.4 KitKat
Here it is, freshly built off the source for our device
Enjoy KitKat in all it's glory!
Bugs are expected but major functions are all working, rock stable and good enough for daily driver
Working:
- Cell & data
- Camera & cam
- External SD card
- Mms
- Music & videos
- Wifi, Gps, Bluetooth
- Etc, pretty much everything
Known Bugs:
- Auto-rotation won't work for 20-30 seconds after you turn on the screen
- If you leave 4g in network settings, you can't get back to it only 2g and 3g options are there
- Stock AOSP Keyboard FCs for some users when you swipe, using Google Keyboard from the play store fixes the issue
- You tell us
Instructions *READ CAREFULLY*:
1 - Install CWM recovery. Rom Manager app is good for that (TWRP needs update you will have no signal flasthing with it)
2 - Wipe clean
3 - Flash ROM
4 - Flash Gapps
5 - Flash W03Tweaks for maximum experience
In developer options you can turn on ART runtime, blazing fast! For it you have to use odexed Gapps, link below
With ART you will loose Superuser root access. Download and flash SuperSU to fix the issue, link below
----------
DOWNLOAD ROM
ROM Mirror
DOWNLOAD 4.4 PARANOID ANDROID ODEXED GAPPS
Gapps Miror
DOWNLOAD CM11 W03Tweaks
W03Tweaks Miror
Download SuperSU for root with ART turned on
Flash it in recovery
----------
Thanks to CyanogenMod heads and paranoid Android for their odexed Gapps \o/
I will try to build these daily, as possible
Enjoy!
-----------------------------------------------------
I present to you W03Tweaks, an all-in-one performance and battery pack made for our t0lte CM11 builds, with the hardware of our device in mind. You flash it in recovery after the rom and gapps, grant root to Seeder and enjoy the ultimate speed. Everything there is to optimize is optimized, killer combo with ART turned on!
The way it's build makes it compatible with current and future versions of the rom, simply re-flash it when you update the rom / gapps
Info about Seeder entropy generator: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1987032
What's in there:
CM11 W03Tweaks v1.01 - 20 nov 2013
- Boosted headphone volume. Let's say our hardware capability is 0db, stock CM value was -7db, and our new value is +3db. So +10db boost. Note at full volume you might get a bit of audio clipping if your music is loud and well peaked, just take it down a notch
CM11 W03Tweaks v1.00 - 16 nov 2013
- Simplified multi-core handling
- Tweaks to PegasusQ governor, for optimal speed and battery
- ROW default CPU scheduler
- Seeder entropy generator, to replenish the pool of random data need by the UI
- Disabled gentle-fair sleepers = better deep sleep
- AFTR+LPA sleep mode = better deep sleep
- 2048kb storage read-ahead = better sd cards performance
- Fixed Android 4.3+ possible battery drain related to gsiff_daemon
- Built-in ad-block host file
- Optimised gps.conf = more solid and faster GPS lock
- OTA android 4.4 media sounds (ringtones, alarms, notif, etc.)
- Samsung Note 2 media sounds
- Greater virtual memory values for our big 2gb RAM
- Slower wifi scan = better battery
- Other deep sleep tweaks
- Disabled useless error-checking (logcat still works)
- Optimized mobile data connection (TCP buffers and fixed radio settings)
- Enabled AMR wideband calls for carriers that supports it
- Replaced Dialer and Telephony icon with Google OTA icons

This thing is solid, no hiccups, smooth transitions, and fast! I got stuck with the wrong version of cwm I tried the touch version rather than the original volume rocker and power button combo version, and the flash failed repeatedly. Twrp was just updated so anybody who's a fan could update and try to flash with that recovery but of course not having done so myself it's just an idea!
Please hit "thanks" as I have low self esteem and crave validation from strangers.

Tried the new TWRP and no signal bars sadly. Could be because Ive got the N7105 model. But could flash other other Roms and restore backups okay on new TWRP but yeah no signal. Only" bug" people should really run into is when using ART titanium backup and whatsapp will fc as soon as you try to open them. Everything else seems rock solid. Cheers to Will for bringing out some Kit Kat loving for the masses. Hehehehehe

Yeeeeeeeeep. BB6 w/ JB bootloader lol.
Can you tell me what the different features are in ROM control between this and standard AOKP?
Without auto-rotate working, can you choose which mode you want it in (portait/landscape) or is that predetermined?
This is really cool, thanks for your work.

Is the CM10/AOKP theme chooser in this?
Volume buttons have been fixed also I decided to use the stock kernel so if you want OC you will need to flash untermensch's cm10 kernel
*new build will be uploaded shortly*

After trying four different ROMs this week, this is the one I am going to stick with! Thanks!
A few bugs I have run into:
Downloading build 6 when using the goo manager app downloads a build that is not JB bootloader compliant. The link in the op works however.
Another strange error is that the play store says some apps are not compatible with my device now. (chrome, google play music, and a few others). Anyone else run into this?
Edit: found this version of baked blackbean works on tf300 with auto rotation working and no app compatibility problems.

The one up on goo is for the ics bootloader. We will get that changed to this one. For the time being use the link in the op.
The not compatible issue is likely due to how it reports itself to the play store. We will take a look.

Android 4.3.1 ROM based on Cyanogenmod 10.2 nightlies
Tweaked for performance and battery life while retaining a stock CM experience. This rom is for the people out there who love CM and want to see it fly.
Want to see this rom go even faster? Use Nova or Apex launcher, and, inside developer options, set window animation scale, transition animation scale, and animator duration scale all to 0.5x.
Additions like HALO are not included to keep the bloat down, but can be included in future releases upon popular demand. I'm open to all suggestions or requests.
Changes from CM:
performance tweaks
network speed tweaks
sd read/write tweaks
other build.prop changes
zipaligned
init.d script support
uber kernel
compiled with linaro
custom boot animation
Viper Audio
removed stock apps:
CMFileManager.apk
CMWallpapers.apk
DSPManager.apk
LiveWallpapers (removed all live wallpapers, but live wallpaper picker left in place so you can still use your own)
(Think any other stock apps are just bloat and can be removed? Let me know)
Installation Instructions:
Warning: by installing this rom you accept all risks of modifying your phone. If anything goes wrong, whether it be bricking the phone or Godzilla attacking you, you take full responsibility.
Must be on a newer recovery and baseband, same deal as all other 4.3 roms.
1. Download the rom and 4.3 GAPPS to your phone.
2. Full wipe (cache, dalvik, system and data) if coming from a different rom or Android version, only cache and dalvik wipe if upgrading from a previous version of this rom or from stock CM
3. Install the rom
4. Install the GAPPS
5. Install any other kernels or mods you like (I'm personally a fan of the Fly On Mod)
6. Reboot. Wait until it finishes and boots up fully
Optional: 7. Give it 10 minutes to settle.
Recommended: 8. Install TricksterMod and change the governor from interactive. I prefer InterectiveX or OnDemandX, both of which go nicely with sio

Viper Audio Tips
Run the Viper app to set up the audio. You can choose between regular ound quality, super quality, or battery saving quality.
If you want to use any other sound mods along side Viper (I'm a fan of Noozxoide), be sure to go into the Viper app, hit the settings key and turn on the "compatible mode"
Want better sound quality? Check out the Impulse Response Sampling starter pack here: http://vipersaudio.com/blog/?page_id=115
Head to Viper's homepage for more info about this awesome mod: http://vipersaudio.com/blog/
Special Thanks: To Cl3Kener, for his Uber kernel and his awesome Develop Now! guide.
To Team Chopsticks, and the Cyanogenmod crew.
To fcortes626, ViPER520 and zhuhang.
To Samsung, Google, XDA, and anyone else I forgot to mention (let me know and I'll add you to the list)

There's an issue with the current version that may cause some overheating and lowers performance, building a fixed version now. It should be up soon!
By the way, themes used in the screenshot (not included since they're from the Play store) Hologlass [beta] (which is free) and Minimal UI for the icons (costs 1.50, and is worth it). Launcher is Nova Launcher.

EDIT: OP updated with new download link (or get it here: https://copy.com/zaO810YHgIMG ). I'd recommend wiping system if you've already flashed 10-23-13 (data should be fine, doesn't need to be wiped).
Thanks for providing us with yet another choice to flash. If I end up in rehab because I can't quit flashing I'm going to blame all the XDA Dev's.
I did a full wipe while installing but during the initial set-up I kept getting SOD's and freeze ups. I wiped and re-flashed several times but ended up with the same results. Any suggestions on what to try next? Thanks again for this.
That's odd, I didn't have any issues with the initialization thing. Is it locking up on a specific page? Maybe try giving it a few minutes to settle, then reboot and initialize once it starts back up again. This might be an issue with how the rom is using the default governor, performance is oddly bad until you change it from interactive.

That makes sense. I've read where some ROMs don't perform well until you change the governor. Through out my attempts I was able to get to the home screen only once. I usually let it settle for 5 minutes. I'll let it settle for 10 and see how it goes.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using Tapatalk
Edit: Still no go. Same thing as before. I made it as far as downloading Trickster and was able to change the governor and it ran for a few minutes then froze on me. Not sure what else to do.
That's really odd, I've been running the rom just fine :/ It's freezing up after initialization as well? But still, thanks for still trying out the rom and letting me know about the issues Building a new version now, it should be posted early tomorrow. Changes include cm update, linaro update, and even more build.prop tweaks. It should be much faster than the current version!
Edit: On a side note, mind if I ask which recovery and gapps you're using? I'm on twrp 2.6.1.0, with the regular 20130813 signed gapps, and lag at initialization was noticable but not cripplingly bad. No freezes or reboots for me either :/
Edit again: New download link is up in the op, or get it here: https://copy.com/dgUwgEErqVnl
Let me know how the performance is!
New version seems to be much quicker than before! I tried a full wipe with it and had no lag at all, not even with the default governor.

I'm on twrp 2.6.1.0, with the regular 20130812 signed gapps, and lag at initialization was noticable but not cripplingly bad. No freezes or reboots for me either :/
Edit again: New download link is up in the op, or get it here: https://copy.com/dgUwgEErqVnl
Let me know how the performance is!

New twrp being 2.6.1.3 or .4? I've heard some people complain about issues with it, from what I could tell 2.6.1.0 seemingly being more stable. But the newest update for the rom is much more responsive, just give it a try and let me know how it goes

FLASH AT YOUR OWN RISK
THE DEV TEAM IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE YOU CAUSE TO YOUR PHONE
** Please be aware some builds may not work, and be patient with the Vanir team as they continue to sort stuff out **
DIRECTIONS
Boot to Recovery
BACKUP
Wipe System/Data/Davlik/Cache
Install Rom
Install Gapps
Wipe Davlik/Cache
Profit!
°°For those flashing custom kernels°°
Be aware- Vanir includes a script that enables their own kernel tweaks. This script does not play well with flashing custom kernels. The solution!
Flash ROM
Navigate to- /system/etc/init.d/
Delete the file- 00kernelcompat
Reboot to recovery
Flash kernel
Profit!
You can also open the ROM zip on your PC before flashing and remove the file from the same directory then flash the ROM and you're good to flash the kernel.
**If you dirty flash between nighties, DO NOT wipe system or data before flashing the ROM. It will wipe gapps and the ROM install script won't be able to restore them**
That said, a clean flash is always recommended

Will give this a go! Much thanks OP!
Seems pretty good so far. The first boot things were force quitting everywhere, especially System UI. Everything was really laggy, too.
Then I rebooted and now everything seems to be running how it should.
Thanks!

Whoa, well that's strange. Nothing should be force closing. Make sure you flash clean and all that. Also, I suggest everyone updating to philz recovery as it seems to solve a lot of issues when using 4.4.x ROMs. Twrp hasn't been updated all that regularly.

Love this ROM! Runs and looks good, only issue... Status bar mods selection causes a force close (soft, you can still make the selection after it backs you out one step and you re-enter) as does the notification light settings (choosing any custom colors causes the settings app to close, not able to make selection at all). Other than that (all I found) very good work! THANKS

Just installed this rom, everything seems stable so far. Going to try Bluetooth later as that always seems to be buggy in most roms. Great work so far!
I'll try it tomorrow. Does it have a music and video player built into the rom ?
This is a great rom but is there anyway to change the recent app clear position?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
In my opinion, this is definitely one of the better kit kat ROMs. It is fast and paired with BMS kernel, has really good battery life.

You could use GravityBox via Xposed Installer. I use it with SlimKat since that Rom doesn't include a clear all button. GravityBox will allow you to position it where you wish. I haven't flashed this Rom, but if it doesn't allow you to turn off the clear all button, then you're likely to have two of them in your recent apps screen.

I totally agree. I'm shocked this thread is only two pages. This ROM flies! I assume you are using the BMS 3.4 for kitkat...When I install it, it just goes into an endless bootloop. Did you have to do anything extra to flash it?
I use the 12/9 version because that is the only version that doesn't give me fits with the bluetooth. I installed it when I installed the ROM without exiting TWRP.

That shouldn't make a difference. Try to install a different Kernel and then the latest BMS one after the other and see if that allows you to boot up. I have done that in the past when I had WiFi issues.

I get great better life with stock kernel. My only issue with this rom is that no blue tooth controls work in my car while every other 4.4 roms seem just fine.
I might give bms a try before I ditch this rom for another. Besides my alarm, I need blue tooth functions to work in my car.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using xda app-developers app
I understand that too. Thats why I use the 12/9 version of BMS. Bluetooth works for me fine on that version with any KitKat Rom I have tried.

PA can run on KK Baseband but I think this Rom is not.
After all the issues I took my phone back too complete stock via kdz and tot, I upgraded all the way to KitKat baseband, used ioroot, and autorec to root and custom recovery, I then flashed my ROM. I have experienced none of the issues. Users having issues please provide a logcat. Also you should be using twrp to flash this ROM. Rom and gapps should only be flashed during install. No additional files.
