newbie i am....how do i do that?

Download 7zip and unzip the file. The bin should be in it.

thanks guys!

ok, i got the rar file to work. thank you,
how about a tekken file: Tekken [SLUS-00006].7z or Tekken [SLUS-00006].7z.ecm files?
i tried to unzip these and it didn't work. any suggestions?

Extract .ecm Format
Hey Man, To Extract Files .ecm, you need drag file to unecm.exe app,
and according to that file it will create a .7 z file and give just starting extract using 7zip or winrar.

i've got .7z file, .rar and .rar.ecm files...which one do i use can make my game to work? i haven't been able to get them to convert to .bin or files to work. help.

Next step?
I get a similar problem. I know my emulator and BIOS work 'cause I've already played RE3 without any problem, though I can't remember how I got the ISO file from 7Zip. Now I downloaded MGS, and when I unzip the .7z I get everything in parts. These include an image file, .ccd, .cue and .sub for each of the disc of the game. What do from there?

Well if you load one of them it actually works I think the .cue but I also don't know how to put them all as one iso so if someone could help with that it'd be great

The image file works, I get to the start menu but no further...

download zarchiver from play store and use the program to extract the teken. 7z file
you will end up with a. bin or. img file and that is the file fpse will recognise.

You need to unzip the one file you download and it should show up as a few different files. Put them all on your sd card, but only load the .img or .iso (The largest file).
Alternatively now you can reinstall fpse but this time choose the "easy" menu instead of advanced, and it will show you covers of autodetected games so you don't have to select specific files.

Sure....what exact files are you downloading? You should be able to tell when you're downloading them that the extension is ".cab"...as long as that's the case, just put the .cab file on your phone and click it to run from there.

in other words. Don't unpack the "cab" files on your computer or phone... just transfer the entire "cab" package to your sd card or phone. Use file explorer (on your phone) to navigate where you have saved the cab files. Select the cab file and the installation will begin
aaand this too just for the noobness haha.. if you've d/l'd a .cab to your pc and have winrar installed on it.. winrar will show the .cab's icon as that little set of books like a .rar file.. they're both archives, but the .cab doesn't need unpacking.. it's like a windows mobile version of a .exe for the pc.. just saying, i did that too at 1st.. a loong time ago.. haha
just copy and paste to your phone storage and you are all set

[Q] Zipped apk files open as directory on on my mac

Sometimes, when I download a zip file of an apk, my mac unzips it into a folder with all the internal files, not as one apk file.
This almost always happens when I download from mediafire. Sometimes from other sites as well.
Any way to get around this without running windows? Or to quickly repackage the folder into an apk?
It seems to do the same thing on my evo when I transfer the zip from my mac.
If I could open mediafire and other such sharing sites on my evo, I would, but they don't run correctly in my browser.
I appreciate the help.

Those site should work fine in your browser, may want to check into that. Anyways, don't open the file after you download. Just rename to a .apk file and you'll be good to go. Macs can screw up zip files like apks and update.zips, so definitely don't open it. Renaming always works for me. Then you can load it on your phone.
If your using Safari it will all ways do that unless you change your settings in preferences in Safari so it wont automatically open files. It is set by default to open any folder when you download hope that helps I have a Mac too

Thanks for the advice. I'll try all of that going forward.

Use 7zip (7z.exe to be exact)
Copy it to a folder make a subfolder inside,
Put ur apk contents in subfolder
Open notepad, copy and paste these 3 lines
Save as script.bat in folder with 7z.exe
cd subfoldername
..\7z.exe -tzip archivename.apk "*" -mx0
Exit
Change subfoldername to name of subfolder to the name of subfolder u created ofc lmao
And archive name to sign.. mx0 is best for loadin, mx9 is compression, use signapk to sign if its not a system file
If the "..\7z" don't wotk 4 u use full path in quotes, example
"%userprofile%\desktop\foldername"
Is the same as: (vista)
"C:\users\username\desktop\foldername"
And: (xp)
C:\documents and settings\username\desktop\foldername"
Or use apk manager lol I prefermymethod personally, n fyi, googles ur friend
Should get to know it
thank you doug.
i did google it but found bunch of different programs and thought that there might be a simpler way of doing it rather than getting a program just to compress

Ye no worries just hope it helped sorry if the post seemed rushed had like 5min left 2 my break when I origionally replyed lmao n this methods rather simple cuz when used correct its more or less drag n drop n run, zip is generated in folder with 7z.exe n 7z performs flawlessly
APKs are basically a zip file with an MD5 signature embedded in them. There are apk generators on market if you copy directory to sdcard is prolly easiest to start with specially with the processing power of this phone.
In Windows compressed folders work fine if you just enable viewing file extensions and change between zip and apk
or hold left shift key as you right click apk file in windows.
Now click open with...
and choose browse for application
Choose your favorite zip app or windows compressed folders
Next to last check always use box so checkmark is visible
Finally click OK
Now no need to modify extensions

Black Notes Hybrid problem to extraxt files?

Hello,
thats my first Post here and my English is not so good.
I downloaded the New Black Notes Hybrid but when i want to extract both files with winrar or 7zip it says Hybrid2.part1.rar
crc false at system.ext4.tar.Unexpected end of archive.
I downloaded the both files for a 2 times cause i thought it's about bed download.
What are you think?
I'm already running Kezra's Value Pack.Should i back to stock before i restore this with cwm5?
Thanks a lot.
With the two files you downloaded, put two of them into a new folder. Then open winrar and find the folder you put the two downloaded files into. Now just extract part1.rar and it will automatically extract part2 for you as well. Then copy the backup to your phone and use CWM to restore the backup
Just the same thing.
Hello snwman
it was my Kaspersky internet security.
He clear some data from rar archive.
i disabled him and downloaded again
no problem.
everything right.
thanks
Using Avast, i had the problem that in every custom rom i downloaded probably a root- or systemfile caused a virus-alert and the av software tried to manipulate the folder extracting the potentially infected file out of the zipped container.
Hi,maybe i have the same problem..I'm trying to install the black notes Rom second generation,I've download both 2 parts; and extract the first one in my sdcard with 7zip,but when i try to extract the second part the computer say: error damaged file.. Why?
Anyone know how i can do?

Hello,
disable first your internet security or antivirus program or whatever,
then download both files AGAIN and put into new folder.
then mark and unzip only the part1.rar it would be unzip both files.
then put into cwm/backup folder and restore after fullwipe.
let me know if does work.
hi,thanks now it works

How do you load an iso? (noob)

I have installed FPse and loaded a BIOS now it's asking me to load an ISO? What is an ISO and how do i load it up so that i can just get past all this nonsense and start playing Theme Park? I have the ROM waiting to be played on but I'm not so technical with phones unfortunately. Keen to learn though so if anyone can help me out here it would be very much appreciated! Thank you, Bob.
The ISO is the game you downloaded from the internet
copy it to the SDcard and choose it from FPse

ISO is the file format all Playstation (PS1) games are in. If the rom you have is in a .zip or .rar file you will have to extract it using a program such as Winrar. If it's in an ecm format after you extract it you will have to use ecmtools to unecm the file.

ISO is CD format (to install Windows for example).. And because PS1 has got CD mechanique, its the format the game stored in and emulators support.
