Wake Up defy with volume buttons - Defy General

Hi
I'd like to know if it's possible to wake up the defy with the volume buttons in order to save the power button.
It's a miui's rom feature I'd like to use in a stock defy rom.
If someone knew some app or mod I will be thankful

Searching for a rom...

The problem with my desire is that the volume rocker is broken. Runnymede and runny rom have the feature that when you press plus or minus you can tap and hold the volume to change it directly onscreen.
So here's the question: does anybody know a sense 2.0 / 2.1 Rom (without kingdom lockscreen) wich has this feature?
Please help :l

No help?

It's a Sense 3.5 feature which can't, or at least hasn't been ported to other roms.
But you could try to use volume control from the market. It can create a shortcut to the notification bar. So you could quickly change volume.

Oh, okay
Is it just a shortcut or a real volume bar? Have been searching for something like this for some time but only found shortcuts...
Thanks anyway for the help
Just tried volume control from rubberbigpepper and it's awesome. I don't know why I never saw that :O

It's only a shortcut.
I know that some sense 2.1+3.0 have a volume bar in the quick settings tab of the notification bar. So maybe there is also a 2.0/2.1 rom with it, but I'm not sure.

Try SensEvolution. Very good, stable ROM, with volume in Quick Settings.

Used sensevolution for a day but AnDroid seems to be the better way for me.
What I noticed is that the proximity sensor bugs around in every sense2 rom I try -.-
When I call someone and get the phone off my head the screen won't turn on until the other person hangs up, and that's really annoying.. .

vol down + power
or
power + home
Thx a bunch man

neither of those work for me on Racings R2 rom unfortunately.
I use a 'screenshot' app for the time being, but its more annoying to use
vol down + power will work on any ics rom.
power + home will work on any of our tw roms.
you have to time it right, and hold it for a second but they do work.

You sir are correct. I was able to do it easier on stock GB, but with ICS I have to hold it down a split second longer and it works Thanks!

[Q]n64oid round button on fxp cm9 problem

Is there a way to stop the round button from toggling the status bar in n64oid ?
I try to use it as the B button but I can't because of this, as it is recognized as the back button, how do I get rid of this bar ?
Thanks in advance
BUMP, same problem
Only solution I know of is use a ROM other than CM9. ICS Express ROM works with the gamepad.
Either that or go to a GB based ROM.
Cyanogen based ROMs always have bad gamepad functionality

So its rom problem and not sixaxis or n64oid?
Yes.

Turn on screen without using On/Off button

Hello there,
I was wondering if there is a mod or an application to turn on the screen on my HTC One X
using the capacitive buttons(for example the homescreen button) instead of using the proximity sensor of
the on/off button.I am currently using smart screen on (seems to eat a lot of battery though from what i checked from battery status)but since i don't know any other application i was wondering if you could share some knowledge guys,
Thank you in advance,
Dinos

If you use a custom kernel you can use sweep2wake, which means swiping from back button to menu button.

Using volume buttons to change music on TouchWiz

Well, I'm going back to TouchWiz but I can't seem to find a ROM that has the volume keys seeking music while locked built in like AOSP. Can anyone help me out in finding a ROM with that ability? Thanks!
