Plain Black TPU Case

Has anyone tried this case yet?

It states that it is a TPU case. And, it doesn't appear to have any patterns of any kind. If you have ordered one, let us know how it fits. Pictures would be great also! I will be ordering my Captivate next week!

I found similar items on Ebay. I believe that they still have the argyle pattern, but on the inside; since the material is solid instead of transparent you cannot see them once you insert the phone. I have ordered one and am waiting for delivery.

Awesome! Would love a few pictures when yours comes in! Can you post a link to the eBay auctions where you've seen this? Or, did you purchase the one I posted?

I bought one off of ebay, here is the link (ebay case). Upon further review, I am not sure if Polyolefin is the same as TPU, perhaps it is a blend. I suppose I will find out in a few days.

Thanks for the info!

from your links, if you change the colors to the transparent one, it still has the argyle patterns. probably its the same case with the Amzer brand one...

You are correct, and that was the point I was trying to make, sorry if I wasn't clear. I do however think that the offering is different than the Amzer selection, because all the Amzer cases are made from transparent material. This case however appears to be made from non-transparent material which prevents you from seeing the Argyle pattern that is imprinted on the inside. It still has the pattern, but since you do not see the inside once the phone is inserted then you can no longer see the pattern. At least, I hope this is the case. I suppose I will find out soon enough.

Any of you get this yet? It looks quite promising IMO

TPU Case
There were 2 listed...one from Day Deal, which I bought, and the one linked above which also appears to be Day Deal under a different name. If you want it, you'd better hurry!!!

Only thing I don't like about these TPU cases is that they're glossy...
The Body Glove at least puts the stripes in it to get it grippier... Is it worth over twice the cost? Probably not.

Just received the case from the Ebay link that I posted and I am quite impressed. It is a nice solid black that almost retains the stock look and feel. Much easier to hit the softkey buttons at the bottom and slide the brightness along the top than when I had the black silicone case on it. It is glossy, but looks very nice. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a solid black TPU case, and does not want to see the funky Arglye pattern or whatever it is called. I will try to upload some pictures later if I can figure out how to get the pictures off my wife's camera without a cord...

the black tpu case looks very bland..and the glossy finish doesn't help it at all

I'm currently using the clear black version of this case on galaxy s2. Fits perfectly and feels very high quality in the hand. The ridged edges give a lot of grip which is good，Don't hesitate buying one!

Solid black always looks cool. The side grips look very cool.

People should be aware that the Verizon Galaxy Nexus is a different size than the UK Galaxy Nexus. The Verizon version is slightly thicker. I hope that does not interfere with the fitment of this case. I am purchasing the phone on Friday, but I am holding off on cases until I read more reviews.

I don't have the phone yet. The Verizon model is being released tomorrow, therefore, no one has been able to make a "Verizon specific" Galaxy Nexus case. I will most likely buy the cheapest case they have at Verizon and use that one until more people report back about fitment. Better to be safe than sorry.

Thought it was delayed? Unfortunately, I think its going to be awhile before we get more accounts of what accessories fit our Verizon model, IF it ever gets released....

I want to make sure: This case is TPU not silicone, correct?

Lol. That's why it is called a tpu. I forgot wavy tpu exactly my stands for but definitely not crappy stretchy silicone.

Let us know how that screen protector looks.
my requirement for dry apply screen protector:
-protector edge sticks to phone all the way to edge. (Most of the dry apply protectors have the last 1mm of the protector lift).
-no rainbow effects. I hate it when there is an ugly rainbow effect. totally kills teh phone.

no the lip isn't thick enough to protect the front button and screen. I have a screen protector on anyway so screen is protected. I don't like the other TPU cases with a thick lip as it makes the phone seem really thick.

i think only samsung is offering the twin pack (clear and blue) for $19.99 (currently on back order), other sites show the twin packs as either white or blue, the clear one is sold by itself for $19.99.

These cases look ok on pictures and are really thin which is a plus but not good to hold in my opinion. You can actually feel the pattern and the whole thing feels cheap.

I came across a few TPU cases by Rock.. Flip and back-only. Anyone heard of or used them? Couldn't find any reviews for the case.. I'm not sure about the TPU quality and transparency of the back (for the flip one). Check them out, heres the link:

I think this one is the best looking one ive seen so far. Might have to place an order for an orange one

i purches both of them, i loved the rock cases on my hox and my S3.
the back only cover arrieved yesterday. great looking, good feeling and perfect match. just a few rather sharp edges, which i removed with my nails.
i got a grey cover for my silver one, looks really great.
i am waiting for the black flip cover . it did not arrieved so far

Good to know! Two questions for you -
1. Is the TPU flexible? If so, is it like completely flexible or just a little?
2. Is the case too shiny? Like candy colours (think: Nokia Lumia)?

1. its rather hard, looks not like TPU, hard plastic would i say, but still flex enoth to fit it
2. the grey one is not that shiny, matt i would say

I ordered the black one, and it just arrived today. Bit of a shame I don't have a phone to put in it, because it looks great. It is glossy, but not overboard. Maybe similar to the gloss on the original PS3? But don't quote me on that, I only owned the slim.
My One should arrive tomorrow. Once it does, I'll post up some pictures so you guys can check it out.
As far as Rock cases go though, I had one for my One X and I really liked it. I would def recommend you guys check them out. Or also Capdase. I just got a white case from them today as well. Both very nice. One is glossy, one is matte.

Do you order straight from their website ? I had their case for my s3 and loved it but then a whole ton of knockoffs started coming out.

So my phone arrived, and I had it in the Rock case within about 5 minutes. I'm in Korea for the day, so I'm trying it out. So far: really like it. The case fits like a glove. Doesn't snap on really tight like some, but there is absolutely no movement. I actually prefer this to the ones that make you think you are going to break your phone putting on/taking it off. The black on black looks so good! It's super thin, so the phone shape is maintained. It also has a very slight lip around the edges on the front so you can put it down on it's face, if you want.
The negatives: the black is a fingerprint magnet. I guess that's why they bundled a cloth in the package. The other is I am afraid I'm gonna drop my phone and it will break. I attribute the fear to having just got the phone, as well as being pretty hungover . If I were to drop the phone, the case wouldn't do much to protect it. It's more like a scratch guard.
Anyway, so far I really like it. I bet the coloured ones on the black would look ridiculous good. I'll add pictures when I get some time.

I have Rock "Quicksand" case with the Xperia S.
Dropped it from around waist level to the hard ground. No scratch.
So.. when I got One, I quickly try to find a Quicksand series but they don't seem to made it yet.

Search on amazon for the bear motion case. I had the quicksand for my s3 and this bear motion feels just like that.

Thanks, I already ordered something similar from ebay (not bear motion). I believe they came from the same wholesale retailer and slap different brand on it...

The cheapest and best looking case I've gotten so far for my U11+

I ordered 2 of these cases via Amazon a few weeks back, they have finally arrived.
Fit seems great, buttons are tactile enough, and it looks like that full coverage screen protectors will be fine too. happy with how this looks and fits so far, especially for the $!

Which case did you purchase?
I don't like the yellowing on TPU clear cases but agree that the device color is too nice to hide.
I would love to find a matte frosted case not on eBay or that doesn't take a month to ship.

Yeah it does.
TBH i've yet to come across a case (on the 11 or the 11+) that edge sense DIDNT work with.
They would have to be [pretty ill fitting or have an uncommon design for it not to work.

Got my XLevel transparent tpu cover today and I really liked it, quality is top notch, the back is transparent enough to see the translucent u11+ back, the sides are opaque but very grippy, the cover protects about 1.5mm above the screen too which is good enough and better than cheap tpu covers I had on u11
