What music apps are you talking about?

I've used google music, power amp, winamp, and the regular stock music player. I just want to know which one does not drain the battery life so fast

If you are only listening to offline music (i.e. music on your phone/card) then the stock music player should use the least. What kind of battery life are you getting? I can listen to music with the stock player for hours on end, with the phone and 3g still on, and not use more than 20-30% of battery.

I lose very little battery life while listening to music with PlayerPro, but I can't make a comparison because I've only used it and the stock MIUI player recently. I actually think that MIUI player uses a bit more battery, but the amount is so small that it doesn't make much of a difference. For an hour while cleaning, usually screen off unless I'm skipping a song, PlayerPro uses about 1-2%, MIUI 2-3%. This is with wifi on, no 3G. Pandora uses around five, but that's streaming (with high quality checked in settings) and you'll always lose more life when streaming.

I get about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs. I only listen to music in the gym. The battery is spent (about 10-15% left) when i am done

MP3 Playback time?

How long is the average mp3 playback time on your dash? Mine seems to be running out super fast. Like 100% to 90% in I would say not even 10 songs. This battery is pretty new also. Maybe I need to drain it to recalibrate the meter or something but it would be nice to know what yours is. My set up is the german wm6 rom using windows media player and a 2gb sd card.

[Q] Music app that uses the Least amount of power

Does anyone knows which music app uses the least amount of power/battery? Since I listens to. Music a lot, so this will make a big differences on y battery.
Thanks
Dunno really but I can tell you I use PowerAMP for music and I have outstanding battery life still.

[Q] What's up with my ROM??

Alright so I have been rooted for over 6 months and I've tried out all the ROMs there are. I finally decided on Deck's 1.3 for it's smoothness and lack of bloat. Here is how I have it set up:
Timat 4.1 + SBC kernel
Car-o-dopes tweaking
launcherpro
underclocked to about 850 mhz
No crazy themes or anything as I like speed over anything. BUT... I have been getting two problems lately: When I listen to music it will stop there will be some harsh static sound, then it will play again. This happens all the time, but more often when I'm multitasking. And the other problem is after I leave my phone for awhile it won't turn on! This happens if I leave it for more then an hour, or if I am watching youtube vids on it where I haven't touched the phone in awhile.
I have wiped both caches and fixed apk mismatches. Can't figure out what else to do. Any ideas??
I just flashed to Salvaged-Zen, and it now only makes the music stutter when I'm downloading large files at the same time. The wake issue is fixed however!
what app are you using to listen to music?
i ask because i use Power Amp, and i have noticed the same behavior only when i listen to certain files, i determined that the files were some how corrupted. i replaced the files with new rips off my CD and they do not do it anymore.
I haven't noticed a difference from songs gotten from iTunes or the market or ripped CDs. So I don't know if that's it. I use the stock music player
got it!
Finally figured it out. I flashed a CFS kernel (I was using a BFS). It stopped all the problems with the music. Makes totally sense because music is a background task

what is the best settings for cm9

i want the best battery what i am doing listen music no wifi 30 minutes of games rest of the time doing nothing so what are your settings

Music Player battery drain

Hi,
What Music Player do you guys use? I've tried Phonograph, stock Music Player, Player Pro and a few others, and i'm facing considerable battery drain. 5%h playing local storage music, while just 3%/h using Spotify.
I've tried with Stock kernel, ElementalX with and without AKT, Franco... OOS 3 and 4 as well. All % screen off.
Is this normal? My old Moto X never reached more than 2%/h playing music.
Is it the music players that i've been using?
I've searched over the internet and found nothing about it.
