My phone mt3gs is having a problem with connecting to wifi. Apparently, after updating to the new CM7.1, my phone would not connect to wifi, or connect, but is not working. I have not had this problem previously on any CM ROM. Can anyone help me with this? Also, I want to find a new custom gingerbread ROM for mt3gs, is there any custom ROM other than Cyanogen Mod out there?
Try reflashing, and look for gingervillian that's a pretty good one

Hello everyone.
I have a problem, and it is most annoying.
My G2 has been rebooting since about 4:30, the cause I have found out to be, is when connected to 3G/4G.
It does not reboot when it's connected to Edge.
It happened running the Doubleshot Sense 3.0 rom, and I wiped and flashed Cyanogenmod 7.0.2, and the problem persisted. Does anyone know the cause? And how I might be able to fix it? Or if I have to take it in to T-Mobile.

So full wipe doesn't help? Maybe the radio? Try to flash a diffrent radio from Joemm radio thread. If you keep getting that issue try to go back to stock and see if the problem is still there. Most of time flashing back to stock fixes most problems.

You most likely have a radio issue and should considering updating to a Gingerbread radio. You can do so by going here. Once you update the radio it would be wise to reinstall the ROM or go to a more stable ROM.
i just received the newer evo with hardware 4 and gingerbread installed on it, i rooted the phone using the new root method and installed mikfroyo 4.62, the wifi is not connecting right or wont connect, ive tried at home, school, and a friends house, is there something i can change like wimax, NV, Pri, radios...just throwing stuff out there, but you know what i mean, anything like that, that i can change so wifi will work again??
Have you tried reflashing the rom? Did you install on a clean install?
Did you flash a custom kernel? Sometimes an incompatible kernel will mess with your wifi.

I have a similar issue that just occurred, I've had it working all until last week now any ROM I flash/restore will connect to wifi then immediately disconnect.
Any other thoughts?
same here then I wiped everything two times and flashed synergy RLS1 + godmode 3.0 rom and now its back. So maybe try that and let me know if it works for you or if it just worked for me.

Hello, I've searched around the forum on this issue, but "flash" has about 17 different meanings in the context of phones so I can't seem to find any info. I flashed my mytouch 3g slide to the latest stable build of CM7.0.3 and everything is working great except that the LED flash won't work. It doesn't work inside the camera app, and it doesn't turn on and off if I use any kind of flashlight app.
I know it was working before I rooted the phone, so it's not hardware related. Is this a fixable issue, or is there a different rom I should switch to? I rooted the phone because all the facebook and t-mobile integration nonsense was annoying my wife and she wants it to behave like mye HTC G2 which has the OTA gingerbread update un-rooted.
Is there a better rom for me to be using on her phone to achieve that if the flash isn't fixable in CM7 (which she is in love with).
I'd say try other ROM's before calling it a software issue. I'm rooted and on CM7 and have had no problems with the LED. Try a rooted stock rom, or try any other rom.
So im a long time lurker back all the way to the OG Incredible and never experienced a problem like this before. My problem first started with Cyanogen Nightly 71 I had been using it as my daily for a few days when the lockscreen started to no longer function.
The softkeys light up but the display is off and doesn't come back on. I figured restoring would fix the issue but ended with the same result. I've tried restoring older nighties, factory reset, clearing caches, fixing permissions, and installing other ASOP roms like liquid and the CM7.1 "Stable" but as soon as the phone locks it no longer wakes up. Currently i was able to restore to Newts Incredible HD but i cant live without ASOP if you have any ideas on what has happened or how to fix this please help out and thanks in advance.
I had the same issue and for me I switched to 4ext recovery, converted system to ext4 and aosp has worked since

Hi,
I have flashed different roms like a thousand thimes now in the past couple of years.
But lately i wanted to flash back to cm 7.2 and so i did.
Did full whipes multiple times even the efs whipe and the g2 super whipes.
But somehow im having wifi issues.
Ill try to explain:
Wifi will connect and get correct ip adres.
Opening the internet browser and typing a url will work but it takes a lot of time (like it has problems connecting to a website)
Trying to setup a google account will also generate errors.
Before flasing to cm 7.2 i was on a sense rom (Rooted)
I tried different cm 7.2 and different cm 7.2. spinoffs but im still having te same issue.
Also tried a sense rom now and same issue persist...
Any help would be appreciated.
I have a htc vision and currently i have the vision glite 2.01 rom on it.
I'm lost.. what can i do?
