Password Help... - Samsung Epic 4G Touch

Last night I drove down to Nashville, TN to a club.
After the club I found a phone in the bathroom. I waited by it for like 15 minutes and no one came. The club was completely empty when I left. So I picked it up, left with it. I thought about turning it into the bartender, but I felt uneasy about it. It was dead when I got home so I let it charge all night. This morning I was going to try to call around on the phone and see if I could find the person it belongs to. It's locked. It's also been on all day and no one has called the phone. I was going to take it to Verizon, but the closest retail store is an hour away from me.
Are there any options to get into the phone without the password? This person has it set with a numeric password.
PS - I don't want this phone. I just ordered a Droid Razr and expect it next week sometime after the release date. Plus, it has a SIM card so I couldn't do **** with it anyways... and it's a Samsung Stratosphere, but this is the closest forum here for it.

Deliveries on Saturday, March 27th

I am so keen to get my hands on this phone...
Mine was sent to me yesterday so I am hoping to get it today.
Could you all just write a post here when you receive yours so we can do some tracking this way.
Ive just rang my delivery office, they have it and are about to go out for deliveries, they said it will be delivered before 10pm, however i live like 5 mins away from Ossett Town center, so should be here sooon.
Blimming heck, thought I was bad. You guys here at 7am waiting on the phone..... oh wait....
It's a great feeling, being told one minute your have to wait another week after getting all excited, and then having that reversed during a horrible 7 to 5 shift at work. Marvellous!!!
We can all come back on here this afternoon and ***** about bugs then. lol
How long are you guys going to give the first charge?
I have work at ten, so im not charging it. I know I know I should charge it, but no I dont want to lol. Its coming to work with me.
I've been up since 5:30am, now thats sad!
I'm hoping it gets here before 10ish, as I have to go out C'mon Mr/Ms/Mrs Postman!

im patiently awaiting too... Got a text last night saying my new line was now active and the number is now posted on my t-mobile portal.

We all live in the UK, We get post on saturdays, not sundays though. I have a tracking number which is: SG836901414GB, I did give the guy my name though, and he was like, yeah its here, its just leaving now, but 45 mins later and he isn't here yet. I want it now lol.
Still waiting too, although I've logged into my T-Mobile account on the website, and it has already populated all the info for my package, and phone number etc! Can't wait till it gets here
can I ask how did you obtain your tracking number, t-mobile said it wasnt available yesterday?

I'm rather jealous of you guys waiting for your phones to arrive, especially since I'm up at 7am with the kids anyway. I held off on the home delivery because I'm away at work all next week 200 miles from home, so if it didn't arrive today It'd be sat at home unopened for a week. I'm planning on going into a T-mobile store Monday - fingers crossed.
Good luck with the deliveries - try to share some of the excitement with the rest of us!
Oh, and the downside is it comes with a 4GB memory card. Grrrh
I asked them, they gave me it. Simples. And oh my god you have got it. Can you see if its unlocked to all networks please, also any T-Mobile branding.

I've not switched it on yet, going to do a full charge first but there is no T-Mobile branding or marking anywhere on the case or even the packaging.
before 8am? nice one! I bet i will be one of them unlucky ones who wont get it till monday will call t-mobile at 8am and see if they can give me the tracking number...
i usually never charge a battery until its dead, so will use it until it shows low battery, and then do a 12 hour charge, and run it down to low battery at least 3 times.
it will then last ages! my current BB Bold lasts 3 days!

Phones4U - grrrrr

With the launch yesterday I called P4U and asked if I could purchase SIM-FREE. They checked and told me no...
Last night, once home I find that others have walked in and gotten a Sim-Free phone.
No problems, I called this morning to see if they had stock left - they do - excellent... except the price is now £100 more at £630 - WTF!
I explained that their misinformation had caused the issue expecting they would let me have one at launch price. I was sent to talk to Head Office, then back to the store, then back to head office. Long and short - NO!
Super annoyed....

I went to four different branches before i managed to get one sim free...three said they don't do it sim free..and one didn't even know it was out !!
I did vow never to go there again as they really really make life difficult if you need to replace a phone if faulty, they have no returns policy and it took me 1 hour and 45 minutes to go through their process of exchanging my girlfriends faulty Lumia.
That sux. At least you could get yours. I have to wait till carriers in the USA stop dilly dallying.

Malfunctioning Phone...A Good Thing?

I lost data, voice and text on my phone last Saturday night (11/19) just by doing a factory reset on my Incredible. I didn't notice it until Sunday afternoon when I left the house because I was on wifi at home. I realized that I didn't have any 3G, so when I got home I disabled wifi and started to try and troubleshoot. I could not get it fixed, so I called Verizon.
I talked to the level one tech and she got my text and voice working. She couldn't get my data working, so she handed me off to level two. After a total of about an hour on the phone, it was determined that I was in need of a replacement.
I was told that I would receive the replacement phone on Tuesday (11/22) by 3:00 PM. I received it at work and opened it up to find the camera lense was loose in the box. I figured that it was not a big deal and just stuck it back on the phone. I put it aside since I was at work and didn't want to go through all the setup there.
When I got home, I started playing with it and realized the power button was messed up. I would have to push it 4-5 times to get it to work. I couldn't handle that, so I called them on Wednesday morning and they said that they would send out another replacement.
I received the second replacement today and got it activated. After the automatic reboot, it went into a bootloop. I pulled the battery and restarted it. I booted into the homescreen and I started to set it up. When I opened the app drawer, the phone rebooted. When it started back up, it went into another bootloop.
I called them back and I told them that I was getting a little irritated about this and they said they didn't blame me, they would be too. They said that if they couldn't get it fixed this time that they would try to replace it with something else.
The customer service rep transferred me to tech support and she had me go into the bootloader to do a factory reset. When it rebooted, it was still in a bootloop. She said that she would put in an order for another replacement and I asked her since I was only a month away from an upgrade, if I could just upgrade early. She asked me if that was what I wanted to do and I told her as long as I didn't have to pay any extra, then that was what I wanted to do. She told me that it would be just like upgrading on 12/28/11 (My upgrade date). I told her that was what I wanted to do. I also asked her if it affected my plan at all and she said no, everything would stay the same, just a different phone.
My Rezound will be here on Monday.
Nice! Though I'm sure that was a pain to deal with,it ended well.
I'm confident that it'll have root in due time,nevermind all the pissing and moaning about it over on the Rezound board

LUCKY. now i know what it takes to get a new phone im going to try it.
I used that exact excuse (sort of) to get a brand shiny new HTC Rezound a month early. I called Verizon "Customer Service" and told them the screen on my DInc shattered and asked if they could bump my upgrade date so I could just get a new phone rather that getting a warranty replacement. Two days later and a shiny new Rezound was in my hands.
What did you end up getting?

Have had a crap run getting my HOX through Viginmobileaustralia.
They advertised it was available online early last week. So I rang to upgrade only to be told they would be ready to take orders the next day. So rang them the next day only to be told they were still not ready and to ring back the next day. Seemed like Dejavu.
Eventually they take my order on Wed last week. Several times I told them I wanted the black one to make sure she got the message. Didn't make the courier till the next day and was held till after Easter for delivery.
Finally arrived today Yay! Opened up to find a white one. WTF Oh well get a cover to keep clean.
Couldn't find the microsim in the packaging so thought it must be onboard already. Start setting it up to find it has no sim installed. Ring Virgin again to be told I would have to wait 4-8 days to get a sim sent or drop in my nearest store.
Great only 4hrs drive return to the nearest store. Guess i'll be heading off early tomorrow. Screen looks choice though and was smooth operating compared with the TF.
Sorry to whinge for a first post, just find the service of businesses in Aust a joke at times.
WOW... That sucks... Why dont you try getting a SIM cutter... Seems easier than going through all that...

Sounds rough mate. I just called Vodafone and they are waiving my 2 and a half months exit fee and letting me upgrade now
Now just to see how long til it arrives

Moto 360 next shipment cycle

I've been checking BB every day for watches since I see one pop up every now and then acting like they have one. Now 20 BB's all across my state are saying delivery in 3-5 days, so my guess is Moto is shipping out the next batch. Put yours on order or call customer service to see if you can reserve one! Hopefully this next shipment will be enough to satisfy walk-in purchases.
They had that same message since last week Friday. Kinda old news
I've been checking BB every day and it simply said "unavailable" or out of stock or something. The webpage appears to lag behind actual inventory by a day. This is the first update I've seen and I've been checking zip codes in different states for comparison.

Not any of the BB in my area. They had that message right at launch for the first half hour, then they all disappeared from the "check local stores" and up until last night, only stores that actually got shipments popped up.
yeah it changes every couple of hours. sometimes none available, sometimes 3-5 days, sometimes "in stock and available today". They dont let you order it or reserve it. Luckily the girl i called was cool enough to "hide" it for like 30mins while i went to pick it up.

Lucky. None of the stores I called would allow that.
I called my local BB who has people in the mobile department that actually knows what the Moto 360 is and they said they might be getting a shipment tomorrow (mainly because they get all their shipments on Thursday I think), so they said call back around 3pm to see if its been scanned into inventory, and keep calling until they can confirm the entire load is scanned (if the 360 was even part of it).
