Hardware keyboard games - G2 and Desire Z Themes and Apps

Can you tell me some games witch support hardware keyboard controls (except sega emulator)? Or program witch makes regular games playable with hardware keyboard (control mapping).

Radiant HD
One of my favorites (and the only one I can think of right now) would be Hexage Ltd's Radiant HD. I love it!

G sensor app and games

Could we make a list of all apps and games who're using integrated g sensor? Like teeter?
For apps Check this

Games (not only with sensor)

Enjoy
Does anyone know of any applications that use the G-Sensor that are working on the HTC Touch HD?
(except screen rotation thingis)
I would love to have something like this "Seismo" app (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=426591) but unfortunately it doesn't work on the HD.
Application: gMeter.
Game: Marble Worlds 2.

Thanks for the answer!
What did you do to get gMeter work? Or does only the newer, non-free version 2 work?
A few accelerometer games here.
Thank you very much for this topic i would like to know too
Resco Bubbles is also a nice G-sensor based game... (Touch HD compatible - WVGA)

HTC games

on the HTC blackstone were missing out on loads of games because we have no d-pad is the no way of creating a touch mini contoller at bottom half of screen?
I hope someone will do it soon, it would be wonderful
if you use the search function you should get results with people posting about about touch controllers that will sit at the bottom of the screen (since almost no game has a native resolution of 800x480). Which is also how you can run various emulators (like nes)
The problem with such a bottom-controller is that the screen is not capable to recognize more than one press, so you can just press one button at once.
Asphalt 4 is available for the HD now. it has a soft pad at the bootom to controll and it looks like gameloft will release more and more games with such an interface specialy for wvga devices.
but the graphic and the gameplay sucks. it's not fun at all. it's not worth a dollar.
Why not invest in a external game pad? It wouldn't be that big and you would only bring it when you know your going to be bored.

[Q] Keyboards and games

Morning all,
Sorry if this has been posted before on other parts of the forum but can anyone comment on the use of keyboards for games on Android? Specifically, I find the on-screen controls that a lot of the emulators and other games use (scumm) very difficult to use. Remapping a keyboard on the device would take me back to my days playing WinMo games on a Orange M1000 with keys on each side of the screen - ideal for emu games and the like.
Can the android devices have their hardware keys on the keyboards remapped easily and can tey handle multi touch (two keys pressed at a time)?
Matt
interesting post, would want to know also.
Gonna play Zelda and Mario till i die !
I too had the Orange M1000 and was wondering the same thing about the Desire Z. Would be amazing if it's possible.
Of course some software supports it, that's half the point of having a keyboard IMO.
Here's an example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2407W5bIae8&feature=player_embedded
i think it can.
i have a G1 and even the G1 can handle multiple keys pressed at once!
i played the snes, gameboy and nes emu on my phone. Even Quake3
works nice pressing multiple-buttons at once!
Yep indeed,... SNESoid working flawlessly here,.... I love this little beauty!!!!!
Thanks for the replies. I've ordered a Desire Z today for my upgrade. I'd say that the ability to use the keyboard for emulating games was a major part of the decision.

All very nice apps, most of which I have on my phone.
Did however buy Repligo PDF reader especially for the Adam.
Very quick to load, render and search PDFs. Will also keep track of where you were in which doc (like an ereader).
Most importantly you can annotate the PDFs.
Will let you guys know how it works on Adam when I get mine in March.

Are there games that support the physical keyboard?

Or is it possible to use games with the physical keyboard?
Only one that I know of is the quake 3 port for android.
Here http://code.google.com/p/kwaak3/
The dev would have to include that functionality in their game unfortunately, nothing we can do on this end. But, you can play Playstation Games using the FPse emulator on the market, and that lets you map buttons to the physical keyboard.
There's an app coming out (out already maybe?) for jailbroken iOS that maps bluetooth controller input to touch regions on the screen.
Basically it takes input from the controller and passes it as if someone had touched the appropriate control area.
Not sure if something similar is doable within the Android system.
Trying to find where I saw this recently, will provide a link to clarify as soon as I do.
E: BAM!

Something like that would solve the issue in question.
This would be cool for emulators. Sometimes its hard to play games with onscreen buttons on emulators for me at least.

Personally, I've found that the Desire Z keyboard isn't ideal for playing emulated games. Better than touch screen for sure, but not ideal.
Bluez-ime + a wiimote is my preferred choice.
Replica island supports keyboard too, can be found on market.
Ozzy's Odessey is controllable with the hardware keyboard. I found the game very enjoyable

Thought of developing something similar hundred times, but there were problems (can't remember which exactly.. Nice to know that if it has been done, it's possible to do it!
INC by OrangePixel is also playable using the keyboard
Turbofly 3D is great to play with the keyboard!
Greetings ivifly
You can use your physical keyboard with emulators. I use it for my snes.

Rooted w/ S-OFF
Current ROM : G2Slim 1.6
Radio : 26.13.04.19_M.
So far I've found:
Cordy,
Spectral Souls (configurable layout, I assume Generation of Chaos does that too),
Zenonia 4 (weird layout but playable).
other games too
Games like gta 3 can also be controlled through an external keyboard.
Sonic the Hedgehog 1 uses WASD and some odd key for jump (I forget which) on my Desire Z. Not really tried many other as I'm not really a gamer.
I just wondering in forum and found that topic.
Very nice physical keyboard working on all rogue like games , angband etc.
The best experiance with physical keyboard.
I find that the Desire Z keyboard is rather nice for gaming. It's just that the keyboard layout isn't parallel like normal keyboards so using WASD is pretty difficult.
games using physical keyboard: Andrio's World, Ozzy's Odyssey Trial

What does that have to do with the statement "It's just that the keyboard layout isn't parallel like normal keyboards"?
