I've Googled the hell out of this issue, but couldn't find an answer, hence signing up to this site.
Anyway, Xperia in Facebook works except for liking songs from the music player. It just says it couldn't create post and to try again later.
If it's any use I'm using an Xperia Play with the latest update (2.3.4).
Any idea how to get this working?
Also, my phone isn't rooted or boot unlocked. It is generic and I updated using the PC Companion.
Also, I may as well ask while I'm here. Why, on this site, does the keypad appear then quickly disappear when I click on "search this forum"?

Anyone having trouble using this app? It downloads and installs fine but logging in just loops and never goes anywhere.
Edit: Installed Clean GB and it works. CM 9 issue or Spotify needs to update to 4.0.3?
I've been using it for about 2 months now on CM9 and it works fine. I had the same problem, initially, but all it's trying to do is login through Facebook (owned by the same guy). After you link it to Facebook, it'll work, and then if you don't want to share on Facebook, just change it in settings.
The app itself sucks compared to the PC version. You can't sort by artist, album, etc. and it lists any song you "star" by date added, no matter what, but you can at least search for new music and it will sync to your existing database. Just wish they would sort out the sorting function (ha!).
Edit: I think it may be due to the fact that Facebook sync doesn't work for ICS (yet) so it acts like you're not logged into Facebook even after you do through Spotify.
Hrm ok. Maybe I'm missing this link thing you mention. I'll look some more.
OK, did a fresh install of B1 and it works now. Thanks for your help.
No problem

Apologies if this is in the wrong place, please feel free to move it around!
I've updated my Nexus to JB and all is well. I've never really used the music app, but in preparation for my Nexus 7 arriving, I've done the "hack" to allow Google Music access from the UK - it's currently uploading my music as I type.
On my device though, I can't see it. The help says I should be prompted for which account to use, but this doesn't seem to happen. I've also checked under "Accounts and Sync" for my google account, and all looks happy (except no option for music is even listed).
Can anyone advise what I need to do to get it working?
Actually, I managed to use the hack too, but still have the same problem. I think you answered to yourself. It's a hack..so it's suppose maybe not to be fully operational.
I've been using Google Music in the UK more or less since it lauched & it works perfectly fine for me.
Under settings in the Music App does it list a Google Play Account? (Should be at the very top)
I'm using Google Music for a few month now as well and had a similar problem.
Try clearing the cache of the Music App. At least that solved the problem for me that a few albums where not showing on my phone.
download Titanium backup. go to your apps defrost Google music
Thanks everyone, I did a "clear data" and it's showing stuff now
Hi! Since I am a mac user, i use Sony Bridge software to upload playlists and music to my Arc S. And here is the problem. I have a playlist with about 130 songs and I have it synced to my Arc S. But when I try to listen to it, i notice, that last few songs are missing. I checked under New added or something like that, and songs were uploaded and could be played, but they are not showing up in my synced playlist. And even can't be added to that playlist on the phone. Does anybody know, why is that happening? Is there any limit to how many songs could be in one playlist?

I have to say I found the solution already, even though it was quite awkward..
I had to rename playlist in iTunes, and then all songs got synced. It seems that playlist file in Xperia got corrupted somehow. Well after I did that, the old broken playlist remained in the phone, and I had troubles deleting it.
Guys,
Im a noob but i promise i have searched high and low for an answer and have read through lots of threads but cant seem to find an answer or anyone with the same problem i have.
Ok basically i have been trying to get play music working. I am in the uk on o2 with galaxy s3 unlocked no rooted ics.
I have got my account up and running and have music uploading merrily.
The problem i have is with play music on my phone.
When i launch it it will see the music that is on my phone memory but not what i have uploaded to google play.
I have cleared cache, deleted and tried various different APK's but to no avail.
What i have noticed is when i press setiings no menu choices come up only info on version number and open source info.
If i could see the menu then i would be able to link my account etc but i just cant get a menu to show up.
If i go into app manager and click google play the google music sync option isnt there.
Any Ideas??
If there is a thread on this i really am sorry but i couldnt find anyone with the same issue
I am having the same problem on my One X. Let me know if you found a solution.

Received my watch yesterday and tried to send music from google play music to it, but even though the box to download to android wear is ticked, nothing is sent.
The music is already on the phone but there's no other songs or buttons I can see.
Thanks in advance for any help

For Google Play, you have to upload your music to the Google Play cloud, even if it's your own music and already on the phone, and then download it back to your phone, and then, only then, can that music can be transferred to your SW 3. The Sony Walkman application does not have this requirement. I found I could transfer a Stitcher Play Later podcast to the SW 3 using the Sony Walkman app or anything stored locally on the phone. Not the case with Google Play unless I uploaded the file to Google first.
That explains a lot and is not something im gonna use
The music is uploaded to Google Play (and then downloaded to the phone).
I'll try the Walkman route and see how that goes
It goes well, i am using that method
I have searched but i can't find the option to sync to the watch in the walkman app.
Is it supposed to work over throw?
How do you initiate the transfer?
Hey there. You can enter any playlist and you have a switch to transfer to watch.
Create a play list and make sure both the phone and watch have at least 75% battery. View the pkaylist in on the phone and there's a switch to download to the watch.
It took a while to transfer 700Mb.
Thanks. But i must be really blind. I created a playlist and can't find any switch for it. The only switch i see is under Settings ClearAudio+
Both devices are over 80% battery.
I have Walkman version 8.4.A.4.4 installed.
either i am blind or it is not supported in Germany?
//Edit: or could it be that because i unlocked and rooted my smartphone that because the license stuff gets lost it is not possible? (they are mp3 files from me)
I'm using 8.5.A.0.6
