i downloaded CM7-EX.l33t by magnus the other day and. im a big music player, and i just got new dre beats headphones, so i was psyched to see that the new DSP manager had a bass boost option in it. i love this rom, but i use mikfroyo too and i was wondering if someone could make a flashable zip of it? and i know it looks like im new and all, but im not lol. i've been modding my evo and such for a while now so im not a noob, at least i dont think.
Well I don't [or know] of a flashable zip of it...but I have the raw apk where you can put on your sd card and install via es file manager, ecy, if that helps.

Sure, gimme a minute, I will attach it here.
By the way, what's the easiest way to host it on dropbox?
Tada. Apk inside the zip, extract, transfer, install.

Well I have files uploaded to my personal dropbox. Though when I click an option, it doesn't give an option to share. I have sharing folders, but it doesn't give me the link option.
Edit..ahh figured it out. Seems to work if I do it from the Public Folder. Thanks man.

Doesn't work on Froyo since not compiled for Froyo.
DSP needs to have a couple of other files to work, I think soundflinger.so and maybe one or two others.

When i go to install the app it says something along the lines of can't parse package
I get the error can't parse package too. I think it's because of the firmware 2.2. Could you guys find a way on how to put DSP manager on 2.2 with the bass boost?
Thanks

The bootlaoder way is

Move to root of SD *not in a folder*
Rename to PC36IMG.zip
Reboot to Bootloader
Follow on screen prompts

Bootanimations:
I'm not sure if its in data/local or system/customize/resource you can check both
But you:
Download file
Move file to folder
Replace old with new
Set permmissions to rw--r--r--

Yes, that's correct. name your bootanimation to bootanimation[.zip extension] to overwrite the existing one. reboot, and you're done.

Hey sexy (couldn't put that at the end of your name? Lol) what rox said is where your gonna find the bootanimation.zip for CM7 so go there replace the old with the new and long touch the file after you replace it and look for permissions in the pop up and set them to rw--r--r--
TrevE Supporter!
This is Matt Smith's TARDIS at the title sequence. Very cool!
Here is how to use:
1. Download the boot animation, attached.
2. Make sure you have Synergy or Darkside X installed as your kernel. If you do not have either of these, I would suggest flashing Darkside X, found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1466283
3. Flash via Clockworkmod Recovery. You do not have to wipe anything

This is probably a noob question but does it matter which Rom/Kernel we are using to use this and is this a normal flash to install it?

darkside x is the only one that's compatible?
just tried it but I'm unable to get it working. I'm running Android Zombie 3.3 with Darkside kernel rc2. I unzipped the zip file. I moved bootanimation.zip from the downloaded zip file to /system/media. But I still get the sanim.zip as the startup. Do I need to move that one to get the doctor who animation working?

Synergy too. Samsung uses a proprietary format for boot animations, and synergy and Darkside x make the format unproprietary.

I unzipped the download and then moved the bootanimation.zip to /system/media. The previous bootanimation.zip, I just renamed before putting the doctor who bootanimation.zip. I rebooted the phone. I thought it would have run after the kernel animation would have run.
I opened the bootanimation.zip and I see all the .png there and I opened a few and it is the doctorwho images.
I'm a noob at this but love doctor who. Any ideas/tips on how to proceed?
Thanks.

Any idea how can I re enable the bootscreen sound? using CyanogenMod 7.2 nigtly.
When I put the sound file with the proper name in the system/media folder it doesnt do anything. So I guess it's disabled somehow.
I got CW and terminal.
