That is the case I got from Best Buy today. I compared it to the silicone one they had for $21 but I ended up with this one because it seems more durable and if you lay the phone on the screen the case lifts the screen off the surface its laying on to help protect the screen as well.
I think $32 out the door was a little pricey, but to protect my new phone it is definitely worth it.
They were sold out by the time I got there. I really wanted the one with the clip. Can't find them now. They are made by Seido from what I am hearing which they sell for $49.99 so it's a pretty good deal and solid imo.
can we get some pics? the product wasn't displayed good on there site
it's a great case. The insides are felt lined & padded. Also I had no problem slipping it in w/ the invisashield. The back of the case goes slightly past the camera lens so the phone isn't laying on it. Then there is a very small lip on the front to keep the screen from resting on a surface. A pretty solid case to use for now until more people start manufacturing for in. Hopefully serpent cases make something for this

its literally the same as the seido case that someone else posted a topic about. look at that topic and thres pictures and in the general section someone posted a video review of the seido case.
the best buy platinum case is just a re-branded seido case.
I had purchased it because a sales rep told me it was a part of the $30 bundle with the car charger and invisible shield. At the register it turns out that the rep gave me the wrong case and I bought it anyways. Early today I got my max coverage Invisible Shield installed and returned that case along with the Shield they had sold me.
The case is decent looking, definitely much better than most of the cases out now. I hope this phone gets the kind of variety in accessories that the iPhone does.

I think this specific case is different unless the picture Best Buy is using is incorrect. The cut outs are different. Also, Seidio themselves said in another forum that Best Buy has a Platinum Series case not made by them.
If the OP can post some pics we'd appreciate it. Thanks in advance.
There are two different Platinum Series case designs for the EVO @ Best Buy sold 3 different ways. The have the Seidio style horizontal split by itself, Seidio style with holster, and one styled like the Bodyglove case (vertical split). I picked up the Bodyglove style case - it's "rubberized" all the way around and felt lined inside.
:S thats expensive why dint you go to sprint? the body glove for the evo looks awesome I saw it at best buy and i dint like the back cover while the one in sprint i was and it was like 24 dollars.. and online its 19.99

bsim85 posted a tiny pic, but here are some large ones:
It's OK. I've still got the original "screen protector" on my phone because I haven't tried it at work (I'm not going to open the Invisible Shield or 16GB memory card I bought until I verify the phone works everywhere I need it to, but the case comes in a resealable package so no worries there).
The back of the case is hard and has felt lining inside. The front part of the case (it splits around the edge of the device like the Body Glove) is more rubbery. It comes apart the same was as the Body Glove, with a coin in a corner slot. The camera lens is recessed a couple of millimeters from the edge of the case. When on it's back the case rests not on the overall rubberized surface but on the smooth edges of the case around the camera opening and the bottom ports so it could still slide around in your car this way. Will I keep it long term? Probably not. Will it suffice until something better comes along? Yes.
EDIT...
I should note that the case doesn't look as blue-grey in real life as it does in the pictures.
I bought the case at Best Buy and it's great. Radioshack had Zaggs for $15 plus the 20% off accessories if you got it in the morning. I got the case at Best Buy and it's excellent. A bit pricey, but one of the better cases I've seen. Plus the silicon cases sometimes get caught up in your pocket and harder to pull out.

Is this A EVO case?
cause it seems to have more cut outs in the side pic than the EVO has buttons on the side.
yeah, i went to BB on friday and there was a sign showing that the Platinum case, the invisashield screen protector, and a rocket dog car charger were on sale all together for $45.
the case is overall is very nice, i like how the screen is recessed and how the case does not get stuck in your pocket like a silicone case does.
i think it was a good deal for the money, seeing as how i needed car charger because the hero uses a mini usb port.

I bought one from BB (with holster for $34.99 (giftcard)), and it def doesn't look like that. Mine's a much more rubbery look / feel. It's black. The cut-out's on yours seem much more prominent and I don't have one on the lower right side (why is one even there? just the phone volume on the upper part of the right side...).
Strnage
I got slider case instead of the snap case. Reason being if you drop your phone on a corner, the slider case isn't going to split open like an egg leaving the yolk (EVO) splattered on the ground.

I dont know what Seidio is trying to pull but on the inside of the fake phone cutout (on the Platinum) it clearly states Seidio, Inc, Houston Texas.
Plus, I ordered a Innocase II and compared the two side by side. They are identical. Save you cash and buy the Platinum.

As I stated previously there are (2) different case designs from Best Buy - one like the Seidio Innocase and one like the Body Glove. The one I pictured is indeed for the EVO (it came with a "fake" cardboard EVO inserted in it). The "extra" port cutout you're seeing is how you take it off the phone - you insert a coin and twist it to pop the two halves apart (JUST like the Body Glove case).
I'm looking for a premium leather case for my new Galaxy Note and so far the only two that I've found that meet the quality I'm looking for would be the Piel Frame iMagnum and the Noreve Tradition. Which do you think is the better of these two or is there another case you can recommend that's made of high quality leather?
http://www.noreve.com/langue/en/product/Samsung_Galaxy_Note_Tradition_leather_case.html
http://www.pielframa.com/samsung-galaxy-note-cases-imagnum.htm
It would be hard to take a picture using piel one as you need to hold top cover part
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk
I also just purchased a Note and also looking for a case. I also am debating between the same two and am leaning towards the Noreve since it opens down. The cover opening from the top will get in the way more. Price is also better.
Piel frama has actually a problem with the magnetic closing mechanism. The s-pen is not working there. They are working on it, and will drop the magnetic thing.
Noreve delivers after 15-20 working days after purchase.

I'm waiting on the official brown leather flip case. It looks super.

That doesn't surprise me in retrospect. The wacom pen is magnetic.
I ordered the noreve. Another benefit is without the (maybe now gone) wraparound clip, it should be more pocketable.

I saw the brown leather one in a German Youtube video and thought it looked pretty nice but that is the only place I've seen it and I can't find it anywhere for pre-order. I only see the blue, white and black versions of the Samsung flip case.
TBH, I remember getting a Piel Frama leather case for a PDA once upon a time which looks just like the one they have for the Note. it was bulky, the belt clip was probably cool then but as the Note is so slim anyway I'd not see any reason to bulk it up even further with that design.
The official leather sleeve looks a better option to me. Currently using the flip cover and it's great, but if it turns out to be too bulky for a dock then a slim sleeve would be my next choice. A belt clip is so 2005 .
Yeah I'm not interested in using a belt clip regardless if the case I buy comes with one. I'm just wanting to find something that will protect the device but also is made from a high quality soft leather that feels like it somewhat coincides with the price of the Note.
It looks like Piel Frama has already updated the case to replace the magnetic closure with a snap judging by the new photos on their website.
I bought a pielframa magnum case in the past for my HTC HD and the quality was suburb and the protection also because its a hard case but very disapointing it made the HD twice as thick and I suspect that will be the case with the note as well .
So if you want good protection the pielframa case will do the job no doubt.
But for me I wait untill I can buy the original samsung pouch to keep the note pocketable

Alright, I finally got my case.
I plan on posting a video review shortly, but initial thoughts:
It's a very nice case. It just looks very classy.
It looks much more professional than the PDair case posted in the other thread.
You kind of push/snap the Note into the case. It is quite secure.
Changing batteries might be annoying.
It does not make the Note much bigger - it adds maybe 2mm to each side.
The clip is well done and I like that it doesn't add to the thickness.
It is thicker (as will all 'covered' cases be, since you need 'hooks' to hold the phone in, and the cover on top of that).
Thickness was never an issue with the Note in terms of pocketability though.
One annoyance is that the cover is about 1mm wider than the rest of the case.
It's not a lot, but you definitely notice it when it's folded back and you're holding it that way.
It kind of digs into your hand a little bit. Not a lot, but noticable.
There is a metal logo on the top right corner of the lid. Their logo has a metal 'ball'. I'm wondering what effect this has if you drop the phone face down, since that's the initial point of impact. I might be overthinking this.
Some things probably generic to all cases:
If you use the belt clip (which I won't), you have a metal 'rachet' which does on the back. If you have that on the phone is a bit awkard to hold in your hand. It's poking into you, or if you have the back flap folded back, makes the phone quite thick.
One very noticable thing - on the 'naked' Note, the power button is higher than the rest of the Note (on that side), making it very easy to accidentally press. It's a common complaint. Now that the case is higher than the power button, it's quite difficult to accidentally hit the power button. That's a very good thing.
One subtle perk of a bottom flap is that you can hook your little/ring finger around the 'hinge' and you can get a little more reckless with how you use your thumb, without fearing dropping the phone.
It'd be nice to have the Piel Frama to compare. I suspect it's lusher, softer, and thicker, but it's also 45 euro more expensive. I'm pretty happy with my choice.
- Frank
I don't have any experience with a Norêve case (looks quite nice BTW), but I own 2 Piel Frama cases.
Soon it will be replaced with the Note, but now for almost 7 years I've been using my iPAQ hx4700 daily with a Piel Frama case.
It's really of exeptional quality (leather, stitching, fit) and still looks as if only used for a few weeks.
I also used a Piel Frama case with my former PDA for about 3 years, with the same experience.
It's true though, as written before, that the Piel Frama cases add some bulk.
But they certainly have a stylish professional appearance.

I do like the look of the Norêve case and agree that the flap opening to the bottom is practical, specifically for securing the Note with one hand (especially if you have smaller hands, as I do).
I'm curious which type and colour leather you've chosen for the Norêve case and if it looks in real life the same as on their website.

Hey,
to those who already have the case by norêve: what about the closing mechanism? This one produced some very ugly scratches on the plastic surface of my old mobile phone. So, I thought of never buying one with this closing mechanism again, but rather one with a magnetic one. But magnetic is bad for the Galaxy Note as the Pen won't work well.
So, what do you think about the norêve - will it be producing damage to the phone?

It's a curved piece of leather - I don't see it doing any damage.
It sort of bends 'over' the top of the phone and holds the cover there.
It works pretty well - no complaints there.
One last amusing thing - the case almost covers the top microphone hole. I kind of think they weren't aware it is there.
- Frank
I've had the Noreve for a couple of days now.
It is just perfect. Looks good. Functions good. Solid. And the leather smells like high quality leather, not some cheap crap.
I could not get a cheap case for a 600 euros phone. That's just not me.
The piel frama could be good also but I thought I could not take pictures with it so I went for the Noreve.
Cheers.
Hey guys,
I used to post video reviews on the Nexus S and Galaxy S II forums but now that I've gotten my Galaxy Nexus I will start covering cases and accessories for the device. Today I've got the Diztronic TPU Matte Black Case, which is a simple case that hugs your device and offers a decent level of protection. I definitely like the look and feel, and apart from some minor annoyances, it's a definite winner.
Full review below:
Thanks for the review. A couple of questions...first, is the texture of the matte finish similar to that of a silicone case? I'm not a fan of silicone cases as they do not slide in and out of pockets well and also gather lint easily. Second, about how thick do you think the case is? I am wondering if it the phone will ever fit into a dock with the case on which has me confused as to why they would include the cutout for the 3 contact charging pins...Thanks again!

Hi,
The matte texture is similar but not as 'heavy' as the one on silicone cases, which tend to be sticky and tacky. This case slides in and out of the pocket very easily and as I mentioned, shows no fingerprints or dust collection.
The case is probably about 3 mm thick, perhaps a little less.
I'm sure the case won't fit in a dock, however there may be an alternate usage for the pins, we can only hope so!

3 days and I am using the included screen protector you get within the package, will get the job done as it is pretty decent but there are better options.
Which screen protectors do you recommend though? I've tried a few here in the uk and they are all ****
I recommend any SGP screenshield. They've got 2 models currently. Sgpstore.com

Just another chime in... I've got this case and it works great on the GSM GN. I like the matte finish.
Like others I'm on the lookout for a nicer screen protector. The included one is just a tad small. Would prefer one that is large enough to slide under the edges of the case.

Do you think it would be possible to cut out a slot ourselves for the volume rocker?
Does the texture of the case make the phone slippery in your hand? I have a TPU case for my Galaxy Tab 10.1 that appears to be made of the same sort of material and it always would slip through my hands because it was a very hard texture. I ended up getting a high gloss tpu case for that which was a bit more grippy. How would you compare this to a high gloss? Do you think it offers a good amount of grip like high gloss or no?
Probably I'm going to buy this TPU skin, is seems to be actually the best (reading opinions in xda and amazon.com).
But i have a question about the screen protector that comes with te case: do it cover all the screen (or is it like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YdRSRROffO4 ) ??

Screen protector that comes with it is smaller than the phone screen. Lets just say that it leaves 1.5 mm all around uncovered. That's why I have ordered another set of separate screen protectors now. But it gets the job done but I am not too happy with it.
Case is and isn't glossy. Sides and back is matte soft touch coating. However the front border of the case is shiny flexible rubber that looks pretty cool and gives it a high end look.
hope this helps.

Our eBay user id is: post3rs. I am using our case on the GSM version and it fits perfectly. I find the volume buttons to be extremely easy to press, although 1 customer told me they don't agree. In all honesty it might be one of the easiest volume buttons I've pushed on a TPU case.

Wow, thanks for the official support (I've read on amazon the review of the user that say the volume controls are not easy to press, and your answer to him)
Yes, I bougth the case from you, post3rs, it has shipped to italy today (I'm a.delu.59).
Now I'm more happy than before to bought the Diztronic case
I have this TPU case and I like it. The only thing I don't care for most of the TPU cases is while the power button is open, the volume rocker is not, so the case gets in the way somewhat. Now I guess I could get out my xacto knife and engineer my own solution but that's not the point LOL.
I started using the toughcase I got last week since I'm a little concerned there isn't enough TPU material to protect the phone? But...it's definitely thin and unobtrusive and feels good in the hand and it also doesn't block any of the ports. It also doesn't attract dust or pocket lint like a magnet like the toughcase silicone. There are tradeoffs for anything I guess.
I bought this case too, from Amazon, though in the smoke translucent matte version.
http://www.amazon.com/Diztronic-Tra...UTFO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1323792395&sr=8-1
It fits great. It's not loose at all, even though it's on a GSM version. You can read my review on that site.
I'm a bit finicky with my phones though, so I don't put it in my pocket. Too high a chance for lint/scratches otherwise, though scratches would be unlikely given the protection now. Finding a belt clip pouch to fit though was difficult. Especially for the phone with the TPU case on it! Finally got the largest one available at Verizon to work, though you really have to shove it in.
The provided screen protector is missing maybe a millimeter from either side, FYI.
Hi OneStepAhead, Are you going to have the glossy ones up on your ebay page soon also? I tried ordering from Amazon.com but they won't ship to Canada for some reason.

I have this case
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390496446811
Cheap and cheerful, £3, looks pretty nice and offers great protection. Not to discredit the above posters, but the first link to the ebay one is similar to one i had for my s1 which let all the dirt through the gaps and just made the back cover horrible and grimy, the second although i've never had is £10, it might be worth it but i prefer to be a cheapo
I have this glossy tpu model:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290811391137
Fits ok with the extended battery. Some play just beneath the camera of course. And on the left side of the screen, like it can't quite reach around.
All in all I've never found a case that fits the extended battery well. The "s-curve" tpu cases didn't look all that great either. Kind of like they were skewed or something, the whole phone would look crooked. I've tried some cheap bumpers on ebay but they all had the top corner cutout for the Korean S2 or whatever so they quickly came apart at that vulnerable spot. Bumpers are pretty good since they evade the whole extended battery issue though.
I have the case mate pop and it's really sturdy and great grip. Also it has a flap which "pops" out of the back to turn it into a vertical or horizontal stand. Although if your preference is aesthetics over functionality then this isn't the case for you

With the extended battery if you take off the case cover then most cases designed to fit the stock battery will fit perfectly also it's not like you're losing much protection by removing the case cover if you get a decent external case anyway. :good:
A case I had back on the S7 they are making for the S10e is
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MQRVRGG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I love that the case is a slim case with a stand so I can watch movies and it easly slide into the hoster and you can rotate the holster 90 as I like it in landscape.
Just though I would share it.
I had a Samsung case included, feels like rubbery plastic I don't like it at all, this has to be awarded as the slipperiest case in the world. Already ordered a Supcase I'll post pictures once it arrives
This one
Ringke Fusion-X Designed for Galaxy S10e (5.8") Case
I have it and love it. Reminds me of UAG case without the price. It's like 12 bucks in Amazon
Samsung Pattern Cover Cases
They come with the international versions free in the box. They have holes all over them, sell them from Samsung Store in Ireland. Seems they won't ship to the USA. Anyone know where I can buy a couple ??
Thank You very much,
Vinny

i found $3.39 on ebay. at first i wanted to try it but then changed my mind. not crazy about X design. I like more plain clear good quality tpu style or 2 layer hybrid. bought a different one for a around the same price with a ring holder. also has holes for a wrist strap.
I ordered spigen tough armor and I like it.

I got the tech21 in smokey black at Verizon when I got the phone. Nothing super special, just a semi-transparent TPU case. Does its job well and looks nice on my blue S10e, but it's just a TPU case, so I'm not sure it's worth what they're charging for it.
Does anyone have suggestions on a S10e case that is Fabric?
I have never had a fabric case but I thought I'd try one out. I can't find any except some really cheap looking Chinese knockoff things.
Anyone got any suggestions?

I've bought this on Aliexpress /item/Original-Samsung-Galaxy-S10-Plus-Canvas-Leather-Case-Cloth-Fabric-Finish-Back-Protective-Cover-For-Samsung/32985661092.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.27424c4dAMGX9N

Good quality, very soft, recommended.
But my personal (and the best) choice are the frosted shield from Nillkin cases.
Ressistant, VERY slim, good look, good grip and texture.

Check out MOFI brand case.
It has a soft fabric backing. I got it off Amazon about 15buck.
For those looking for a slim case, check out the Korean brand $10 Araree A Fit cases. The deep blue color is nice and fits the bill for me. They also have the Typoskin model available directly (but shipping is prohibitive). I am waiting for the $20 Araree Typoskin from a Korean eBay seller.
Why the A Fit or Typoskin? I wanted a low profile, business casual look (but not black so it's easy to spot in the dark), protective and not a fingerprint magnet. I used Diztronic for my S7 (which survived many drops on concrete!). I have accidentally dropped the S10e in the Araree A Fit a few times. The blue A Fit has good fingerprint resistance (the clear one might be different). It stays relatively clean all day, except during times when my hands are very sweaty.
Disclaimer: I have gone through (and returned) DOZENS of S10e cases from Amazon. We're a family of 4 with different cases ranging from $10 to $40: the Araree A Fit deep blue on a Prism Blue S10e, the Incipio NGP clear on a Flamingo Pink S10e, the Caseology Parallax black on a Prism Blue S10e and the Gear4 Piccadilly clear/white on a white S10e. I've tried all kind of cases from Spigen, Incipio, Encased, Pelican, Under Armour, Bodyguardz and various other lesser known brands.

I agree, it's a good case and I've tried two different Mofi cases. IMO, the lip rim around the front is a bit too soft/flimsy and not as tout/firm as I had found in other low profile cases (less firm, meaning, it may be less protective in case of drops).

At least from the renders on the Amazon listing, this is probably the best looking for the price, Spigen's Silicone Fit being a close second. Super interested in this case and don't see anything online so some photos of it would be great

Yeah there is no lip with glass protector at all with the MOFI. I have the MOFI, Blue speck, Spigen liquid air and xdoria defense (has a channel so the bottom speaker sound routes to the front instead of bottom)
The speck case is my favorite for the grippy lines it has and it has the biggest lip but the xdoria is nice for the sound routing feature.
I got ringke fusion smoked boarders, from their ebay seller handle, cheaper than amazon

I want one but I don't like the look of the silicone on the edges!
I'm going for soft all the way without regular tpu or silicone touching my hand (for fun)

Yeah I ended up returning the mofi bc there is no lip with a glass protector. The tpu on the edges is nice tho for grip mainly. I doubt there is a fabric that covers edges too.

there's a few on aliexpress
i've never purchased from there so i'm just gonna find the ones i judge to be best and least likely to be bad purchases (they're all fairly cheap tho) and then see what happens
