I have an Epic Touch 4G, and I rooted it and then flashed the Midnight Rom as I had a lot of luck with it on my old Epic 4g, but now I cannot get visual voicemail to work at all. How can I get back to stock everything, rom and kernel?

Flash this in Odin.
Go to development there's thread by acs that guides you to going back to stock using Odin.

I need to switch my number from my Evo to My Epic since i will be using the Epic for a while.
My dilemma: I've been flashing with the epic already and currently running MIUI, which doesn't allow you to enter dialer codes. (which sprint needs to provision service)
Question: Do i need to ODIN back to a stock ROM or can I just flash a stock ROM to finishing swapping service? Also what is a good Stock ROM to use that also allows dialer codes?
Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance guys.

just odin back to ec05 for esn swapping and provisioning, then allow all the updates to be applied (ei22)(el30), then just root from there.
Unforturnetly there isn't a twdialer for cm7 or miui so you'll have to jump onto a twmtd rom no need to odin back to stock I suggest marcusantrom v3 I use it works fine for dialer activity.

If you are using GB ROM, you can only use GB-based kernels and kernel+CWM.
If you are using ICS ROM, you can only use ICS-based kernels and kernel+CWM.
If you try and mix and match, either on purpose or by accident, then it won't boot into Android (but you can still boot into recovery).
It sounds like you might have mixed and matched.
Okay so how can I get ics

Check out this thread. It's for the latest leaked build of stock TouchWiz ICS for our device. (This will actual fix your problem too)

For a more stock AOSP feel, you'll have to flash something like CyanogenMod 9 or AOKP.

My brother's Epic 4G Touch always reverts back to the stock recovery after flashing a new ROM. I honestly have no idea why it does this. I'm not really new to all this rooting stuff, but this is something quite new. If it helps, his phone has the EL29 modem and recovery we always put back on is the Rogue one.

There's a good chance the ROM you are flashing isn't packaged with a custom recovery. What ROM are you flashing?
What ROM are you flashing and how are you flashing it?
Please it NOT ROM Manager - that's a good way to anchor weight your phone (or his as it were)
because the recovery is part of the kernel.

I just rooted my fiance's epic 4g/samsung galaxy s2 with Odin (she was/is on FJ12 firmware) and after rooting, I am just wondering how I would go about flashing a new rom onto it. Is it safe to use android recovery to flash a rom with CWM? Just wondering where to go from here. Rooted 3 devices and flashed them but they usually came with CWM. Not sure about android recovery

FJ12 is virgin mobile.
I have no idea if flashing roms for you will be same as flashing for sprint. I have steps listed here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1953783 but thats keeping sprint in mind.
Well, I got my rooting from here. Doesn't say anything about flashing a new rom onto it though. :\

Same H/W (just like my MVNO) - just different settings.
Flash as if it's Sprint but keep in mind that MMS will break until you manually correct and things will show as Sprint, not Virgin. Not sure if 4G will need the realm changed or not...
OK I got the phone flashed over to Page Plus. But for the life of me I can't get into EPST ##3282#. No matter what I do the keypad dialer will not open this menu.
YouTube & Play Store will not work over data.
I'm on Freeza stock MD4 rom . Stock phone keypad
I googled and I've read that the ###3282# code was blocked in the MD4 update. So I'm assuming that I need to flash a rom that was b4 the MD4.
Could someone please tell me what rom I'm looking for?
Or unless someone knows a different way to get into EPST?
Thanks a million

My SPH-L710 was flashed to pageplus 4 days ago. What i had to do, was go to a stock, unrooted rom, let them do the flashing process, and then restore a nandroid of a different rom. I do not suggest rooting the stock rom after the flash, because it broke my wifi. I did a factory reset using Philz CWM, i wiped the dalvik cache. I rebooted the phone, rerooted, and rebooted. Still no wifi with stock MD4 that was rooted using the GS3 all in one tool.
I restored a nandroid of The Peoples Rom, and Mother of all Roms. My calls, texts, and 3G data all work with both roms. I do not know about MMS, because i do not use MMS. TPR and MOAR are both prerooted ROMs.

If you decide to go the earlier version (before MD4) route go to Billard412's thread. One flash solution. Read the OP carefully.
Billards412's thread here:
MD4, MD1 for both 16 & 32 gb versions
Here:

Nearly Last page of Billard's thread
LJ7 for both 16 and 32 gb versions Here:

BE SURE to give billard thanks for the work he's done!
Do you know which version came on this phone 16gig?
That Billards412 offers
Thanks

This thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1904099 has a stock MD4 that also resets your flasg count. Not that the second part matters in this case. The ROM is confirmed to be stock, unrooted, and MD4 update. No surprises like messed up features or random reboots. Its a clean MD4. I would suggest making sure you have a nandroid for whatever ROM you want to use as your daily driver. So, nandroid your daily driver, go back to stock, and then restore your nandroid. Thats that i did. my talk, text, and 3G work. As far as i know, switching ROMS DOES break MMS. Of you cannot live without MMS, im afraid youll have to remain stock as far as i know. The person that flashed my GS3 wrote their own software, and has years of experience in the business. I am not saying he knows every trick, but ive been told that it is impossible to properly flash the GS3 while it has a ROM with certain custom features, or OC/UC.
Thanks, I done flashed like 4 different roms since the Page Plus flash and everything still works sms/mms/3g on each one. Her daily driver is Cm10.2 on this phone.
The guy told me if I flash a rom avoid firmware as that would wipe or corrupt the Page Plus flash. And he would charge me to have a refreshing.
He got everything flashed except he couldn't get into the ##3282# to program whatever he needed to in there.

But I get home and flash a stock unrooted rom via recovery hopefully to see if the ##3282# works if so then take it back so he can finish
