Interestingly enough there is no mention of FFC and I can't see one in the pic. Hope that's not the case, provided that thing is real to begin with.
Could be a fake but if this is real I won't care about FFC, it's not like I would actually use it.

I agree. Now that looks like a Nokia WP7 I could love.
I heard it's a fake.
That's pretty bad since I am still waiting for a 32Gb device.
the specs looks good but i am digging the nokia 800/sea ray design more
I think it's fake:

Why would the other 2 be called "Lumia 800" and "Lumia 710" and this just be called "900" (and not "Lumia 900")

It does look exactly like an Omnia 7. http://cdn.cbsi.com.au/story_media/339306547/samsung_1.jpg
I think it looks awesome, would love to have a 4 to 4.3 in WP7 Mango Phone, but feel this is fake because it lists 512MB ROM, I haven't seen ROM listings on any WP7 devices because of the built in memory. I just hope the Lumia 800 comes to Sprint, would love a device with bigger screen and no keyboard.
It's fake.

However, I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Lumia 900 will be revealed tomorrow, and it will have a microSD slot.
Why?
Take a look at the Lumia 800 spec sheet. It says "no uSD" (the u is a micro), which sucks. Now why would they advertise a lack of a feature, unless it was to compare it with a phone that has the feature?

Yeah, me too, and the screen size is perfect for me. The looming threat of PenTile and 16GB only announcements likely to come out tomorrow spoil the party though...
Best title ever for a thread, Peew.
If these specs turn out to be true, then I know what device I'll purchase next. I'd prefer the Lumia 720 design wise though. But the 4.3" SAMOLED screen plus 32 GB storage mean more to me than the look of the device (which isn't too shabby to be honest).

The consensus seems to be a fake...unfortunately
It's a concept designed by MindSailors. Check out the link below and go to the Design Showcase -> Electronic's section to see the high res pictures of that concept. You'll notice that the only difference between this and the leaked picture is the tile's background colour has been changed and they've added in the Nokia Nav tile.

If Nokia releases something with the body of the Sea Ray aka 800 with a 4"+ screen, front facing camera & 32GB+ of storage, I will not be able to buy it fast enough.
Please don't disappoint me tomorrow! 3.7" and no FFC is no good as much as I love that body style.

I have my eye on the Ace if it does indeed have the 4.3" amoled display with LTE and FFC, 1.4 Ghz CPU, etc...

The defy is now actually available, rooted and confirmed to have a GPU.
Anyone interested?
There is interest in this phone, but not as much as I would have thought.
You'd think a ruggedized phone like the DEFY would get more interest, but then again it hasn't been out for even a week yet.
Maybe after it has been out for a while there will be more people that take an interest in it.
Here is hoping so!!

+1 for a section on this phone I plan to get soon!

I have a Defy arriving tomorrow. Would love to see a forum for it!
+1
Motorola Defy arriving tomorrow!
+1 Can't wait to get this phone! My friend just picked it up, and I got to play with it.
Quadrant scores were right along a Vibrant, hopefully it gets Froyo before the end of the year, but I could wait, it was more than fast enough.
Weight was about the same as the Vibrant, but the form factor is awesome, the screen being 3.7 and the Vibrant being 4, you'd never guess it was that close cause the Defy is so much smaller in the hand. It's just all screen.
Games loaded fine, probably due to the PowerVR GPU. And the web browsing seemed pretty quick as well. Sound quality was also like most Motorola phones, really good, these guys can build radios and phones. And the screen is great in direct sunlight, think it's got a transreflective tft under that Gorilla glass.
But all in all, I don't understand why there isn't more hype on this phone? I'm thinking this is one of those phones that would agree with many people. Not a 4.3 monster, nor a 3.2 mini. Slightly bigger screen than an iPhone, but smaller form factor and lighter. More than powerful enough to run anything, and they made it life proof...I know in the current market, there are front facing cameras, and 4g. But really most people don't need either. They're great features for a select few, but the majority of people don't need a front facing camera or would come close to utilizing 4g. Look at how many people kept their blackberrys and iphone 1 and 2gs.
Hopefully community support with grow for this phone!! think it's time for me to start learning how to cook up some roms soon! I'm getting one today!
+1 for a Defy section
I would like to have a Phone without a need for Extra Protection.
That is the reason because I am very interested in this Phone.
can only hope some good hackers and cooks buy this phone too.. Custom ROMs are a must.
+1
my defy will arrive next week on monday
+1
This phone looks sweet except that the proc is only 800 and the VR GPU is not included. But the rugged factor is a sale for me. I was using a mt3g in the field yesterday as a stopwatch, gps, level, camera, notes, tethering and for tunes! ...blowing dust and sprinkling rain were the only concerns and they would have been mitigated with this rig! Bring on the new era these phones have the capability of lessening my pack list for field days.
The defy actually HAS a PowerVR530 included.
The official Specs have been updated accordingly and Quadrant says so too on my Defy (which came yesterday ).

sadly ....you are mistaken. I wish it had a powerVR but it does not. its purely a CPU. I found it on a file on the TI site

Regardless it needs its own section so we can get some development going on it.

Thats interesting. How did you find that info? I mean I hope its right. Just doesnt make sense cUse the phone is still slugish during screen transitions or pinch to zoom.. Maybe its the motoblur doing that but for that kind of gpu it should be much better. I installed laumcherpro, it helped alittle.

I sure hope we see a big Nokia WP7 reveal next Tuesday.
I ready to have my socks blown off! We need some fast, powerful, beautiful phones for WP7. I'm sick of seeing nice hardware with a crappy OS. See Android.

Looking forward to next Tuesday. Unless they really drop the ball, Nokia will be my next Windows Phone this Christmas .

I'm not too concerned about powerful - but I do want it to use the new hardware, as it will be more battery efficient.
I just hope they dont do something stupid and reveal a meego device which I think there is a chance of them doing as Stephen Elop has said they will only announce a handset when its close to launch, and June seems to be a way off from Mango's Fall release.
An N8 quality phone with WP7 Mango running on it would blow my socks off. Or the concept phone with all the different colours would too.
Anything else less would merely them down, not blow them off.
I'm skeptical because "market disrupting" is what they have always called their non-Windows Phone research efforts. I have my doubts that we will see a Windows Phone on Tuesday, but we'll see.
I hope it isn't a smartphone priced $0 on contract . . . because it's not like we haven't see enough of those.
If its the size of the hd7 but with a good screen, I'm in.
I'm sure it wont be CDMA.....because Verizon sucks.

just need a "candy bar" like HD7 with good screen , i am too... even i am having HD7 right now.
What I worry about is....
1)is it a meego handset?
2)the price of nokia wp7 handset. They have been losing market share for years, and they seldom or never adopt a Qualcomm or TI processor in their own handset....what they are using is processor from broadcom....
Therefore,do they got enough negoatiating power or bargaining power to get a lower price of processor from Qualcomm(bulk purchasing??who knows?this depends on how nokia judge the potential of wp7) and this same goes to the other parts as well...
Lets wait for next week and see the real show...
Market disruptive :
$99 no contract WP7 device
New meego device that is also cost effective.
Only things that could be market disruptive from Nokia.
what is needed big time i mean HUGEly big time with these wp7 devices is a memory card slot that users can swap around freely without cracking the damn device open.
give me a +1 someone
ps. i love the the htc hd7 so much i have 2..... just coz

while a $100 phone would be neat, it wouldn't be disruptive. make it an IPHONE for $100, without a contract and yea, you'd have a hard time selling -anything- else. apple could do it, take a loss on the initial unit and make it up on all the payments from att/verizon/tmo that have to be made in order for them to get an iphone to offer.
oh wait... that almost sounds possible. hmm
an android or wp7 phone for a hundred clams would just be another phone. blah.
I hope Nokia does come through with something spec heavy, just to convince these other manufactures to get the ball rolling.
Sent from my Samsung Focus
I hope we see a metal crafted/high quality phone as their first device. They can bring out low end devices later.

Great. What a stupid move, making a fuss over 1 device after saying WP7 is going to be their main smartphone OS. Why dangle this in front of people at all and distract them from their eventual WP7 devices? Guess Elop was all talk....
Looks like Nokia's first Windows Phone has been leaked by the CEO no less. It looks a lot like the recently announced N9, but no word on what the internal specs are. It will have to blow the current generation of phones out of the water for me to give up the Super AMOLED screen on my Focus.

So does anyone know if this would work on Sprint if it had the same quadband CDMA radios as the meego version? Because I would buy this immediately, if that were the case.
PS - In the long version he turns it on, and another guy comes out and demoes it.
Thanks for the links.
Looking at this unreleased phone, and looking at the already released HTC sensation 4g. All I can say is, Microsoft is in deep ****.
Deep, deep, deep ****. SMFH.
Microsoft is in a very poor situation with regard to WP7, trying to push a new OS to a market which isn't exactly dying for one, needing hundreds of phones and friendly distribution, but the video doesn't make it any worse.

That's.... kinda ugly at first glance.
I don't particularly enjoy the Nx designs. Sad to see them sticking with it for wp7.
ALTHOUGH I do like the boxiness aspect. I think rounded edges are old school, boxiness is a good thing design-wise.

Or, you could say that rounded phones are a case of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". Pulling a square-edged, boxy phone out of my pocket can be a real pain, but a phone that has nice rounded corners is not a problem at all.
And personally, boxy = ugly to me.

Since they are on-screen buttons, they can be minimized or disappear altogether during a game or open app. This would completely eliminate the accidental press of these buttons.

The Galaxy S III is Samsung's new flagship smartphone and it's finally broken cover at the company's stand-alone Mobile Unpacked event here in London. With a steady stream of fakes, outright leaks and even event rescheduling, Samsung's claimed almost crazy levels of interest for its new smartphone. Weighing in at 133g (4.7 ounces) and whittled to 8.6mm at its thickest, the rounded-off design has more than a little bit in common with its Galaxy Nexus cousin. Of course, it's Samsung's new 1.4GHz Exynos 4 Quad processor doing the legwork, and there's 1GB of RAM to help it out. The display has been bumped up in size to a 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED affair, sporting a 1280 x 720 pixel count. Happy snappers will have an 8-megapixel rear shooter to play with, and a 1.9-megapixel eye on the front will take care of those video calls. If you were wondering about radios, it's launching with HSPA+, but there's an LTE version in the cards. As for the interface, it's TouchWiz on top of Android 4.0 again, and there's new gesture functions to help you get around. So, there it is, the phone we've all been waiting for (until the next one) but that's not all, be sure to check our hands-on coverage and additional features for the in-depth breakdown.

It'll end up being a hit regardless because it's dubbed "quad core".
dont get me wrong im not saying ill never own one but i wont be all waiting like a school girl 6 months for it ..... Ill pickup the EVO LTE first
I'll be waiting for the final product before I decide but I'm definitely going to skip the HTC since my current phone still makes me happy.

Here’s a nice little late-night rumor for you to dream about while you slumber. There’s been some talk that HTC is readying a 5.3-inch Galaxy Note challenger of their own by the name of the One XXL (double x’s for a double dose of pimpin’). Other than its gargantuan size, we really haven’t heard much else.
Well, a new leak is flipping everything we once thought, showing us that the HTC One XXL might not be 5.3-inch device we hoped for. Instead, it could be a souped up version of the HTC One XL (our version of the international Tegra 3 One X). The details were “revealed” in the below screenshot (top image is just concept art) and shows off all the specs that make a Phandroid’s heart flutter. We got a 4.7-inch display, quad-core Qualcomm S4 processor, 2GB of RAM, 8MP camera and 1.8MP front facing camera.
Of course, this sorta stuff is pretty easy to fake with a little time on your hands, and a few simple XML edits. Still, I can’t help but think if this device were true, and it comes to Verizon/Sprint/T-Mobile later this year, maybe that would take some of the sting out of missing out on the regular old One X. Wouldn’t you agree? Grain of salt, people!

Hope this can be the right forum. Will try to post all the sources of this info in a links below.
It's generally assumed this is a fake and is in no way to be thought of as official. You can see the text in the settings is the wrong font for a start
Ehh, but the design of this piece of plastic in the first picture... it's perfect! )
Looks horrid IMO
I think, it looks not far as good as our HOX today.
LOL.
It's funny how rumours start.
I've got the guy that created this concept on facebook, he has a page called 'HTC concepts' and he uses Google Sketchup.
He made this about a month ago if I remember rightly.
Got a link to the page?
EDIT: This the one?

It's a blatant fake, it was a render with fake specs posted on that concept site. If you think it's real then you're delusional. See the picture I added to my last post

There's nothing to comment on, it's nothing to do with HTC!! How many more times do people need to be told?

okay!
Do not just grabbed some of us we are afraid and do htc past mistakes by removing every six months a new version of the existing model.
Downgrading in this way the existing.
I thinks thats a great phone, hopefully it will come out
