Here in XDA we do not encourage [BOUNTY] due past horrid experiences many people were victim off.
Thus in most other section of the forum [BOUNTY] are actually illegal to say the least.
However if the [BOUNTY] are for a good cause it'll be allowed under a few conditions.

- The [BOUNTY] will only be donated when the DEV work is complete
- You are not allowed to make demands to the DEV
- You can't promote yourself for a [BOUNTY]
- The Dev's work must be creative/original development, not just ported-themes, modified stock ROMs or kanged ROMs
- Must be Recognized Developer or at least have a good well known reputation in XDA

Good news. I am going to be able to pay for almost half the device. I can do $250 total. Combined with the ~$40 in donations from this thread and the $100 that Vibrantnew-b said he'd donate brings the total to $390. Soon as we hit $500 I'll go pick the phone up. So theres this developer name Dsexton702 mostly working at the SGS4G forum at the moment and he was one of the first devs in tjat communitee... Since then hes made ICBINB roms that are so smooth and responsive and is amazing at tweaking and scripting files. And that adrenaline shot people flashed was by him! So what i was thinking is trying to get a SGS II for him as a early christmas present. If you guys agree i will love to set up a thread and make fund for him. If you want to see his work go to the Galaxy S 4G forum and youll see he did great things for their communitee and i was pleased with my old SGS4G mostly because of him! So if anyones interest please let me know!
P.S. Hes amazing at making tweaks and his status is now Recognizable Dev not Senoir Member! That shows how much he helps out to our phones!

I honestly feel the same way. I think most of us has bills to pay but we can't keep having to put money up for these devs.

I am very aware of what both of us said. Are you aware that this isn't the first post about donating money towards a dev for a phone? Whatever happen to the old days when a dev would just buy a phone and dev for the fun of dev'in? I'm not saying that some devs don't deserve us donating every once in a while, but lets not make BAD-AP (buying a dev a phone) the new standard. To those who feel like donating more power to you.

I donated to devs before but only to those devs who already donated their free time to make something innovating for my phone. Make something unique for my current phone and I'll throw you a few bucks then.
If you used this guys roms, enjoyed them, feel free to throw him some money. But thats as far as I would personally go but I live in America whee people are free to do stuff I don't approve of or annoys me

All devs would bring something unique/different to the table, but I personally don't agree with purchasing a phone for a dev. If anyone chooses to do so then great for them. I am not discouraging people to not support their favorite dev.

So now we got a dev that makes kernel, another one that makes roms, one that makes themes and another ones that kangs everything. If there is a dev out there that can put windows phone 7 or ios on my phone, I will definitely donate to him/her.

I wanted to ask everyone here for your help to get the ball rolling to get TEAM WHISKEY start developing for our phone. They just need a few more funds to get the phone for them to start cooking something REAL GOOD.
Now, if you had the Vibrant you know exactly who they are and what they can do.
If you don't just go to the Vibrant forum and search BIONIX 1.3.1. Best Vibrant rom made #PERIOD They brought Froyo to the Vibrant way before Tmobile release an update. They turned the Vibrant from a POS to a great phone.
So can they bring ICS to our phone before an update?, MAYBE. They definitely can if all the source is there. (once it's out)
They took a break, but now are making there way back to the scene.
Now this is not exactly a bounty because a donation is not necessarily needed, but would definitely help.
All you have to do is go to there webpage http://www.teamwhiskey.com/ and click on one of their adsense ads and they will get credit for it.
Now if you would like to donate you can register and donate there.
Either way I hope you guys help with at least a click of the mouse.
Believe me when I say that you won't regret it.
I know we already have some great devs here, but these guys are known for changing the game.

also XDA rules only allows direct link to the ROM files
and screen shots
changelogs are nice to have, but not necessary if it's outside work
it's a must if it's local in house XDA development
Are they going to support the galaxy nexus when and if it comes to Tmobile? Love their ROMs and were the only ones I placed on my phone I trust them to make any phone zing and rock. Just my 2 cents

I don't blame them, with all the drama that has been going on lately I can tell why.
Some people just don't know how to act and take things personal when it's the internet and XDA is for mostly Development, Customization and 411 of phones. Not personal vendettas and haterism.

That I would love to see one of these for nick from miui.us as that rom (once it became more stable) was a literal transformation of performance on my vibrant even compared to cm7.

second off...
You have a few ways to get proprietary drivers to work with your device
1 from the manufacture (they are in the stock firmwares)
2 From another device of the same board type that has the Firmware you want (eg ics).
3 Samsung releases there driver code for there proprietary drivers (not going to happen)
4 reverse engineer them though machine code disassemble.
your best bet if u want ics before they release ics then use the samsung vendor proprietary drivers for this device...
The rest of the drivers will be compiled from source with values set for this device... (theirs a reason you have source code)..
Ill throw 25.00 in once were about 100 away..

I still own the sgs4g. The wife uses it. Stock froyo at that. Had it since before cwm was ready for it so I know the quality of your work. Unfortunately there are some serious trolls and assholes in this community. Come with a thick skin is all I can say. When I get home ill donate something. Guess that makes me retarded huh?

You know what, I'm really getting tired of people ****ting up these threads with their troll comments. We all know the lack of development for this phone is largely due to the attitudes of some of the people on the board.
The bottom line is - These developers are putting a lot of time and effort into giving you plenty of options on your phone and you aren't paying a nickel. If you don't want to donate, no one is judging you. But the least you can do is keep your mouth shut and allow the people who would like to see further development and a better atmosphere in this forum and on this phone try to do so.
I've administrated forum before. People that troll like they do here were banned and the forums as a whole were a better place to be. There was a much more positive atmosphere, it was FAR more constructive, and everyone contributed in any way they could. If you couldn't, you kept your nose out of it. This place needs to be regulated a little more diligently. No one wants their opinions stifled, but when you're being an asshole for the sake of being an asshole; you need to be removed from the board.
M&S, and others, thank you for all the hard work you've put into this phone so far. Please realize most people like myself that generally keep their mouth shut truly do appreciate the efforts put forth. Please don't allow the trolls to discourage you or your efforts.

Ive donated to eugene n tdj. I just wanna chime in. That wen raver was blind deving. His rom was solid for not even having the device. But we need devs to contually dev. Tdj has n much props to him. But no disrespect to whitehawkws n team kang n also eugene. But theyll dev one rom then sorta work on other devices. I wud love to see raver here but we need some assurance that he'll ck his threads once in a while and respond to users n update. Im not complaining just have seen us donate to 4 diff devs and to not have continuing help when asked in their threads. Thats my 2 cents.

Whitehawkx does not own a T989.
With JB, AOKP is starting fresh, building the code from the ground up. With no member on Team Kang owning a T989, our JB prospects looked dim. You can read what our future would have been like here.
A lot of people talked about doing something. A lot of people talked about donating to a pool for WHX to get another T989. One person did it. You can read about his decision here.

Not only does this radically affect AOKP, this also affects CM and other AOSP variations. All the teams collaborate together on this.

The AOKP decision wasn't a surprise with milestone 6+. I honestly don't know why they would even carry devices they don't have to troubleshooting. It's just common sense to me.

I think we had something going with the donation pool and for jangst123, to step up he deserves some compensation. Then again, I know he did NOT do it for the money. He did it for epicness!

Fair enough, but I was really just answering the thread topic, and didn't find the relevance to the content in post. I'm just saying that I'd probably not give my S2 away. Unless I had another phone I could use ....

It's great to see a community coming together, but at the same time people donated the first time WH got the S2.
What happened to that phone?
And now people are donating for another one!.!
Also what about Roman, didn't he get donations for a S2?

Regardless I've never HAD to pay for any Rom I've flashed. Should there be a limit for how many phones are donated to any dev? Developers provide a free service in their free time.... for all us addicted flashaholics.

Thanks to everyone's help we were able to get Team Sextape an E4GT (BIG thanks to Eso!) and a GNex... but that's only the beginning.
I'm bumping the thread as we're moving onto bigger fish:
Team Sextape GS3/GN2 Donations
The current goal is to try and get one or both by the end of the year.
This will likely benefit many of us already here as the GS3 or GN2 may be our next device.
Anything that could be chipped in would be greatly appreciated over the coming months!

Leaks from the likes of sextape and others help our devs build and configure great things for our toys (well, for me actuall work necessity but...)

He does have a phone... but part of the problem was that they did not have ones that they were dropping leaks for. I'm one of many trying to help resolve that.

For what its worth the threads that have been locked broke the rules on one way or another AFAIK... its hard to ask for a more legit donation request than this, sextape has contributed tons to e4gt development and garwynn is also crazy helpful around here, so this is pretty obviously both legit and a very good cause.... I will be chipping in a few bucks when I get to a computer as I'm not seeing the link in the xda app... big thanks to eso for the generous donation and to garwynn for matching funds...

thanks for understanding yes this is not a donations to satisfy or fuel or bad habits to to bring more development to our devices and as you maybe know Jelly Bean is around the corner to being official on the Galaxy Nexus and Epic 4g and other devices our Teams are dedicated to bringing all this to the community in the same matter that I brought Official I.C.S to the Nexus S 4g and Epic 4g Touch.
