[BOUNTY] Whitehawkx

Here in XDA we do not encourage [BOUNTY] due past horrid experiences many people were victim off.
Thus in most other section of the forum [BOUNTY] are actually illegal to say the least.
However if the [BOUNTY] are for a good cause it'll be allowed under a few conditions.
- The [BOUNTY] is to be donated directly to the DEV
- The [BOUNTY] will only be donated when the DEV work is complete
- You are not allowed to make demands to the DEV
- You can't promote yourself for a [BOUNTY]
- The Dev's work must be creative/original development, not just ported-themes, modified stock ROMs or kanged ROMs
- Must be Recognized Developer or at least have a good well known reputation in XDA
There you have it.
You've been warned!
Don't come crying to us if you donated, but didn't receive any result from the DEV, a donation is just that, you're not paying for a product.

Roman is also interested in developing for this phone if you'd like to support the cause he's about $200 short. I've received a few messages regarding these bounties for developers and how we don't need to buy them phones and I completely understand but at the same time if your not interested in helping out that's fine, move onto the next thread. If Roman & Whitehawkx hadn't modded the hell out of the Vibrant mine would have been at the bottom of Lake Washigton along time ago!

The gpl just got released to that phone lol.

Good news. I am going to be able to pay for almost half the device. I can do $250 total. Combined with the ~$40 in donations from this thread and the $100 that Vibrantnew-b said he'd donate brings the total to $390. Soon as we hit $500 I'll go pick the phone up. I have already begun porting lockscreens over in prep for the rom I'll release.

Hey guys,
I wanted to ask everyone here for your help to get the ball rolling to get TEAM WHISKEY start developing for our phone. They just need a few more funds to get the phone for them to start cooking something REAL GOOD.
Now, if you had the Vibrant you know exactly who they are and what they can do.
If you don't just go to the Vibrant forum and search BIONIX 1.3.1. Best Vibrant rom made #PERIOD They brought Froyo to the Vibrant way before Tmobile release an update. They turned the Vibrant from a POS to a great phone.
So can they bring ICS to our phone before an update?, MAYBE. They definitely can if all the source is there. (once it's out)
They took a break, but now are making there way back to the scene.
Now this is not exactly a bounty because a donation is not necessarily needed, but would definitely help.
All you have to do is go to there webpage http://www.teamwhiskey.com/ and click on one of their adsense ads and they will get credit for it.
Now if you would like to donate you can register and donate there.
Either way I hope you guys help with at least a click of the mouse.
Believe me when I say that you won't regret it.
I know we already have some great devs here, but these guys are known for changing the game.

Just a minor reminder TeamWhiskey have left XDA and they do their DEV work in their own forum, so any one posting their work here should be done in General, and not in the DEV section
also XDA rules only allows direct link to the ROM files
and screen shots
changelogs are nice to have, but not necessary if it's outside work
it's a must if it's local in house XDA development

Are they going to support the galaxy nexus when and if it comes to Tmobile? Love their ROMs and were the only ones I placed on my phone I trust them to make any phone zing and rock. Just my 2 cents

On a side note ..
I don't blame them, with all the drama that has been going on lately I can tell why.
Some people just don't know how to act and take things personal when it's the internet and XDA is for mostly Development, Customization and 411 of phones. Not personal vendettas and haterism.
Anyways back to the topic....

If and when it comes out for T-Mobile they will. They announced it a couple weeks ago.
But this is for our SGS2 not Nexus, at least not yet.

That I would love to see one of these for nick from miui.us as that rom (once it became more stable) was a literal transformation of performance on my vibrant even compared to cm7.
I know that miui is a port based system and we need to wait for our cm7 port first but I'm willing to donate and/or in willing and ready to help with the process.

Just a friendly hello

Hello, I'm not all that new to xda or rooting. I just don't have much to contribute to the forums by way of help or development. I recently switched from "big red" to Sprint. I've owned three HTC devices, HTC Inc I and II and the HTC Rezound (all rooted) thanks to the good people here on xda. I am in love with my E4GT and am currently on Calkulin's E4GT 2 ROM v1.6 fe22 and loving it. Prior to joining xda, I've gained a lot of knowledge from xda and I guess now it's time to say thank you all for helping me outta my own messes. I only wish I had more to contribute in return. Anyway, I wanted to introduce myself to the community and say, thank you and hello. cheers :beer:

Would YOU give your S2 to someone you didn't know?

Whitehawkx does not own a T989.
With JB, AOKP is starting fresh, building the code from the ground up. With no member on Team Kang owning a T989, our JB prospects looked dim. You can read what our future would have been like here.
A lot of people talked about doing something. A lot of people talked about donating to a pool for WHX to get another T989. One person did it. You can read about his decision here.
You can read about the result here.
Not only does this radically affect AOKP, this also affects CM and other AOSP variations. All the teams collaborate together on this.
In the end, this isn't about bringing a new version of software to our phones so it can do 1001 things instead of 1000. It's about giving and giving back. Jangst123 and WHX have given to us. Let's give back. Round of applause for these two and every other dev and good person on these forums. It's not all bad

I think we had something going with the donation pool and for jangst123, to step up he deserves some compensation. Then again, I know he did NOT do it for the money. He did it for epicness!
The AOKP decision wasn't a surprise with milestone 6+. I honestly don't know why they would even carry devices they don't have to troubleshooting. It's just common sense to me.

Great to hear. White is a great Dev and will do something awesome, I'm sure of it.

Regardless I've never HAD to pay for any Rom I've flashed. Should there be a limit for how many phones are donated to any dev? Developers provide a free service in their free time.... for all us addicted flashaholics.

For everyone who complains there are more people who lurk and appreciate your work. For all the people who "steal" they only lack the skills and/or time to do it themselves, but they flatter you enough to copy. Those who create and share better the world in their own way, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant. to clarify, its never really stealing.. as its all open source, and anyone can use my work.. but there have been a few incidents recently of people claiming original work, when they couldnt code a game genie... nonetheless.. it is what it is..

Hey Chris, when you're working on your kernel can you look into the led bug that keeps the SoC from going into deep sleep when a notification is triggered? If we can get a kernel with that bug squashed all of these "ZOMG ICS BATTERY LIFE SUCKS!" Threads will go away and I won't have to repeat "ITS A BUG IN THE DAMN LED NOTIFICATION, USE LIGHT FLOW OR BLINK TO DISABLE IT" another 1000x :banghead: your kernels are already awesome, so i know if someone can squash that bug its you with your talent :thumbup::beer:
