How do I relock my bootloader(warranty etc..)?

hello people,
like my title says
i want to relock my bootloader , I unlocked it over sony ericsson site.. now i wat to relock for warranty.. Any possibilietes thanks!

Your warranty will still be void. Remember you entering your IMEI number?...Yep, logged by Sony

Thank you for your quick response - is there any way i can unlock my bootloader without sony? so I can relock and they dont notice it? (other xperia play)

Theres a user called Alejandrissimo (not sure of the spelling) who for $24 can unlock your Play remotely. Its non-profit for him as well.
Theres a few other ways to do it as well that I cannot remember.
In all fairness however, the large majority of issues with the Play can be sorted with a reset to stock firmware or just a couple of tools on eBay. Its a hardy little beast is the Play so I wouldnt worry about warranty
Ive had issues with my USB not working, phone not charging, drivers not installing, touch input screwing up etc...Solved with a firmware flash or SEUS repair

Haha, thanks Honeybadger - nice nickname I found a way to relock, someone uploaded a ftf file. But now I am searching another way for unlocking - witout paying.. but thanks for your kind and fast help!!

If you still want to you can relock your bootloader by following this guide posted by Blagus http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1134334 Although you may relock your bootloader your warranty will be void and your DRM keys will still be lost

Do you mean updates from your carrier? I'm not sure the answer, but since it looks like you have an international Ion you should be able to unlock the bootloader, so you would just have to flash the upgrades manually if you can't receive maintenance OTA

If you unlock the BL then you will be unable to do OTA updates or updates through PC Companion unless you relock the bootloader first. As far as warranty goes thats up to Sony if they will still provide warranty repair after the BL is unlocked. No they will always know you unlocked it via the official sony way because you have to provide your IMEI number to get the unlock code.

Is there any easy way to unlock bootloader without void our warranty?
One more question, can i unlock my bootloader Xperia SL using Xperia S guide?

Bootloader unlocking voids warranty but you can relock the bootloader. By doing that you get back your warranty..

This is not completely accurate.
Actually if you read from Sony's web page here http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com
It says
" Important information
Please note that you may void the warranty of your device and/or any warranty from your operator if you unlock the boot loader. See your device's warranty statement for details. Additionally, due to the modified device software, Sony’s repair network will likely have to replace key components before it can properly test, repair and verify your device using our repair tools and software. Consequently, if Sony performs a warranty repair, Sony will likely charge you a significant service fee for the additional costs caused by your modification of the software."
Clearly it states MAY.

I've confirmed from one of the SONY Moderators from SONY official forum, then i posted the info.

Although Sony logs the IMEI number, you still may not lose your warranty. It depends on which country you are in. For example : -
I had bricked my Xperia mini ST15i's touchscreen ( had unlocked bl the official way ). Just flashed stock rom with flashtool, relocked bootloader and gave it to Sony. In India, they didn't check a thing. I just told them that I had bricked it while upgrading to ICS with SEUS
Within a month, I got a new screen replacement absolutely free within my warranty period.

I think that it is city-wise because the Sony guy told me that he had sent my phone to the local service center in a nearby city.

i read of several people that only relocked bootloader and they sent phone to service center without any problems

Depends what country your in as to what rights you have. In Australia i got my screen replaced with unlocked bootloader and no receipt. As Sony says this *may* void your warranty, it also may not. If something happens and is not directly resulting from flashing, then i would argue with Sony that unlocking the bootloader is irrelevant as the phone is defective.
My phone was fixed under even though Sony said no, i said OK ill contact ACCC, Sony said OK we'll fix it as a gesture of good faith. I assume good faith means 'damn this guys knows his consumer rights'.

If we lock the bootloader will the service center know we are rooted?

I have unlocked my z play's bootloader for downgrading to MM. Will this nullify my warranty? Is there anyway for the service center people to know I unlocked the bootloader?

You void the warranty with requesting the code. It does not matter if you use the code. Your device is in the database. If your dealer sends it to Lenovo for warranty repair, they open the battery cover, read the IMEI or other device data, recognize you requested the code, write a letter "warranty void" and send it back. That's my experience. At least that's what happened to my Moto X Play with hardware problems which are not software related (flaky contact on USB and SD card).

Yes, the bootloader will show as re-locked (there are three states: locked, relocked and unlocked). It will show in the bootloader menu. (status:2 or something like that)

Yes they will know as soon as they check your IMEI on their database.
With other companies that's not case, but with Motorola they void the warranty the moment you request the unlock code from the website.
My Moto Z died 3 months ago, and i have no where to go. When i went to the service center they told me that i rooted the device and i wont get the warranty without even looking at my phone. they just checked the IMEI on their database.

BTW.... Who has successfully locked bootloader on MZP ..?

Yes they will know... I just put in for a warranty exchange last month after having issues with it. Yes it was unlocked and had a custom rom on it when I returned it. They had a New Play in my hands within 2 days. They knew the phone was unlocked, I documented it on my warranty claim and they still approved and sent out a replacement. Thank you Moto.

Well you don't lose it in the first place. No, unlocking the bootloader doesn't void your warranty.

if you restore MIUI rom and bring back phone to factory system you not loose your warranty, only if you leave unlocked bootloader and custom rom in phone you dont have warrant.

I believe once you unlock bootlaoder service center can check if you did it or not even if you re-lock it.

No, if you reflash the firmware, they can't check if you've unlocked it before (if you didn't unlocked officially in the first place).
Well most manufacturers (cheepo ones) do not implemented this kind of tech that persists data over a firmware flash.
Also, most of the time, they don't even check for this.
