Hello everyone,
I would like to know if there would be a chance for an Ice Cream Sandwich ROM to be created for the Incredible. I would love to see Android 4.0 on this phone. I don't want to wait one more year to taste Ice Cream Sandwich because of my contract.

ICS has to come out first, then get ported.

Ok guys I'm new to the whole android os and smartphones/androids in general. Never had either. But I have a fully rooted htc evo 4g running cm7.1 paired with the tiamat 4.0.6 kernel and I'm wondering what version of the android is 2.3.4? I know 2.3.3 was gb and 2.2 was froyo but is this still gb or what?

Yes this is still GB. It's just an updated version. From what I understand, 2.4 will be Ice Cream Sandwich, which is a hybrid GB/Honeycomb OS catered specifically for smartphones.
Ok but is there any way to get to honeycomb frim here?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
I think I remember seeing a Honeycomb ROM floating around on here, but it's very unstable and missing a lot of features. It was mainly a test ROM I think. Honeycomb is mainly for tablets, but that's not to say it isn't possible. Your best bet would be to find the Honeybread theme for CM7. It's GB with a Honeycomb look and feel.

Don't think so, as Google hasn't released the source. Plus it's for tablets so kinda pointless IMO...
Any suggestions?

There won't be a honeycomb rom available for a phone until Google releases the source code, which won't happen until they release the next iteration of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich. ICS is supposed to combine Honeycomb and Gingerbread, so you may not see many honeycomb roms because there won't be a demand for them.
If you are looking for a tablet experience on your Evo, the best bet would be to try a rom called the "Flyer Express" it's in the development section, and it's making some good progress. But you won't see anyone building a honeycomb rom anytime soon.
Alright thanks.

will defy get ice cream on cynogenmod?
When it's ready.
PS: Ice cream sandwich is even out yet!
I am worried about the "old" kernal we have.
Perhaps it is time for us to move on 2.3 kernal for defy+

There are no official word from either CM Team or Quarx, it's hard to say that.
Anyway, ICS SDK is ready for testing on PC. Hope they will working quick on it.

There will be no SDK port of ICS as stated by the Cyanogen Mod team. We can only expect a port (CM9) when the ICS source is out.

I dont know what SDK and ICS are..so in simple language, defy won't get ice cream sandwich?? :-(

ICS on Defy
I think it will take some time for ICS CM9 to come out. Meanwhile we could try the apk that are pulled from the orginal ICS. Has anyone got it working????
Finally the source code from Ice Cream Sandwich has been released.

Can't wait to try it after our talented devs manage to build a ROM for the Defy.
Nice! Can't wait for CM9!!!
I would be really happy if an ics Rom was developed for the defy. I sold my sensation to buy one and was excited when I read about the possibility of having ics still.

Hello everyone,
I am a huge fan of Phantom Hacker and Blazer ROM. I was over in his forum and I noticed that he has an Ice Cream Sandwich version of his Blazer ROM which isn't released anywhere else. You do however have to be a VIP to download this file.
I was wondering if anyone is a VIP and if they have run Blazer ROM ICS, and if so what your impressions are. I've been looking forward to a 4.0 Blazer ROM ever since all those leaks started happening, and was surprised when there wasn't one released on XDA. Little did I know that it was posted elsewhere.
So, has anybody used this? Is it as great as the GB version of his ROM? I would love to hear some opinions on this.
The cool thing about his ics roms is that he has tsm mod built into it, for more options!
Edit: he removed his tsm mod from the latest version...anyways still really good rom!

I was using it for about a day, has ALOT of issues IMO, went back to Calks ICS...Blazers GB 4.1 is SOLID, and I love it and had great battery life with it, but as I said his ICS "beta" is not ready yet...again just my opinion from using it.
Hi. I want to know if there is a working ice cream sandwich ROM for the Evo 4g.
Thanks
Try team dirts cm9 port.
