Wireless Charging - Verizon Droid Incredible 2

Does wireless charging work on any AOSP ROMs yet, specifically 7.1.0.1?

Considering the bugs they've experienced as of late, I wouldn't hold MY breath.
My $ .02

Well I just tried it on CM7.1.0.1...
The wireless charger still makes a beep, and the charging light flashes, but the OS does not see that the battery is being charged, and it doesn't actually charge, the battery % just drops.
Any idea if something can be ported over to CM7 so it supports it?

No ideas? Can the wireless charging portion of one of the Sense ROM's be ported to CM7 or another AOSP ROM?

If it were that simple, it would be done.

Supersonic w/ sense 3.0.

I'm a noob, so feel free to set me straight. I have tried several of the custom roms and while I enjoy certain aspects (speed, UI, themes, etc.), they all have small quirks or seem incomplete. My question is: Is anyone working on a Supersonic based Rom with a Sense 3.0 experience while fully functional (hdmi, camera,)?

Yes there are several roms actually Like AllianceROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1120734
some roms are sense 2.1 with 3.0 elements like synergy
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1144447
virusrom kingdom
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1071547
and mikg http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1038967
And all are still being supported
All of these roms are fantastic but I prefer synergy then kingdom roms
Battery life might be awful but give it 2 days and the battery life will settle in...
Later there will be custom kernels to increase battery life so much but htc hasnt released their kernel source yet
I've tried them and they have great a great feel. I don't understand why Netflix and Hulu is such a priority w/o working hdmi. Cart before the horse.
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
hdmi will come soon. once htc releases the kernel source, somebody will put in HDMwIn mods into the kernel, and you can use the HDMwIn app with it. so that's where hdmi will come from.
same with battery life. havs, smartass, undervolting, and sbc will all come once htc releases the source.
btw: flash synergy. flash the 3.0 carousel rosie in the same recovery session. laugh in the face of danger.
I like Alliance a lot, but I'm back to stock rooted again. Synergy had some issues but not bad. I even tried team xron's 3d port, but it has some serious compatibility issues.

Battery life is awful= failed statment. The battery life is by no means awful on Synergy. I have consistently gotten a full day on heavy usage. Synergy is probably the best rom I have used on the EVO.

minus hdmi, it is fully functional.
seems to me that if your base supports hdmi, adding a sense 3.0 UI would not be an issue. I thought most of the developers were using a shift base. I guess if it were easy someone would have a fully functional Rom by now.

shift does not have hdmi. that's the problem. the really impressive part is that synergy will have garunteed hdmi quickly after source is released.

minus hdmi = almost fully functional. See my "cart in front of horse" comment. If you haven't used hdmi out you're missing one of evo's best functions.

bcuz shift has gingerbread and sense 2.1 now (luckyyyy). doing it that way was easier than porting a sense 3.0 rom, and we got 4g right off the bat. but it's still a sense 3.0 rom in everything except base and rosie apk (and you can always flash a sense 3.0 rosie)

This is not a total true statment. It's very close though. Off the top of my head mail application, additional widgets and additional options are some of the missing items that will never be in a hybrid because it is just to much trouble for not enough gain.

ok thanks i didn't kno this. i wonder what other options there are.....
i've found that virus rom is probably the best if you are used to sense and want all the functions with all the stability. flashed different releases on 2 differents evos and both superior to stock sense and no noticeable issues. - always did full wipe with amon ra. (although i personally stick to AOSP, EVO Deck Gingerbread 1.2 specifically... i flash sense if its a new rom or if i need dialer) there's my 2 cents

Sbc sense kernel

Is there one or one in the works? Or is it even possible?
Not yet. Maybe. Check on goodandevo website. I heard something about that there.

http://www.goodandevo.net/2011/11/kernel-included-in-latest-ota-update-supports-trickle-charging-on-htc-evo-4g.html
I have used this kernel and I see no evidence of trickle charging when I look at Battery Monitor Widget.

Ugh that sucks i was really hoping it was a start for better battery life.

Which up to date kernel supports trickle charging ?

I just switched to an Evo from my Optimus V(best battery life ever) not too long ago. After countless days of unplugging my Evo and having 80% in 10 minutes, I was getting pissed and figured out that the kernel didn't support trickle charging.
So question is, what kernel can I use on stock 2.3 that supports trickle charging?
Sent from my PC36100 using XDA App
There are not any at this point. The only SBC (trickle charge) kernels that are out are for aosp roms. For some reason the few kernel devs we have here despise SBC. We had one with froyo but since gingerbread hit there has been nothing
So they just deal with the battery loss? Ugh.

Ugh is right. Even with AOSP ROMs using SBC Kernels, battery life has gone way down hill since Gingerbread came out.
I hope they get this all straight with ICS
Well that sucks. Guess ill be getting a 3500 quicker than I thought. Thanks for the replies!

I agree. Myn's Warm TwoPointTwo was the best battery EVER. 24 hours on stock, imagine my extended battery? Sadly, I fell in love with MIUI..I should be happy because it's theme city here.

That's odd, charging is hardware based. Should not be affected by ROM in any ways though. Is your charger charged, or does your device not show anything while charging but its charged anyway.

It never will, it is hardware based. Unless Samsung or some OEM manufacturers release a chipped battery for our device enabling wireless charging, it never will happen.

Phone losing charge while charging, getting really hot

Hey xda community,
I'm dealing with a serious problem
So i'm using my galaxy s3 (SGH-I747M running Liquidsmooth JB 4.2.2) and im dealing with this strange issue when I'm using it. it is actually losing charge while im plugging it into the wall charger, and it is getting very hot. im not even doing anything but writing this. im guessing because of me over clocking /undervolting the cpu. right now im at 6 percent and i even reduced the cpu speed to 300-something mHz using the utility the rom came with. please i really need help on this and i really need a fix.

Thanks for the reply,
Im using the stock galaxy s3 charger, but the charging process is either very slow, or its losing charge while charging. I believe the charging method is the most powerful atm in my household, the apple ones suck and my computer is worse than the wall charger. The phone is still hot, but i changed the frequencies to the original configuration. it helped, but not by much.

install battery stats app and find out what app is hogging the resources in the background, and get rid of it.
this happened to me when i installed xbmc and enabled the dlna service by accident and it kept running even after the program was closed.

Nope, still losing battery. You could link me the .apk file if you are talking about something else. Can anybody else tell me how I could restore previous cpu frequency and governor configurations prior to overclocking/undervolting?

ok for sure partly its the chargers fault because the wire itself has been bent along where the connector is, because i was using the phone without the charger and im gettting results before the overclock. could you tell me the governor and schedule for the cpu? thanks.
BTW, if i shut down the phone, it will charge, but a bit slower than before. AND, could anybody tell me if wiping batterystats.info will be any good?

Wiping the battery stats will do nothing for your issue.
In Performance, stock Samsung is Min CPU 384Mhz, Max CPU 1512Mhz, and OnDemand / Deadline I believe. It may be Interactive / Deadline.
I use Asswax / Row
