during the instillation it frozen for 7 hours then ERROR message popup
i tried to reconnect my phone
windows message showed up ( unrecognized USB ) something like that
now my arc is not working any more
how to revive my Xperia arc ?
note
- fully charged battery
- locked bootloader
Try this:
http://davinciteam.us/LT15_en_index.html
you can try to reflash with sony ericsson update software, it happened once to me with wotan server and i reflashed with sony ericsson update software...
you can download it from SE website
Worked fine for me today to debrand my Arc.
Try SEUS or FlashTool (maybe it works for you, had to reflash my Arc today when I used it first to try debranding my Arc)
Sent from my LT15i using XDA App
Try repair or update with zeus from here : http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/download/1/110/61/1307432845/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.6.12.exe
Dear all,
I'm trying to following this guide to install cm7 on my xperia play:
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Sony_Ericsson_Xperia_Play:_Full_Update_Guide
I can't unlock the bootloader - I turn the phone off, hold down search and plug in the use cable, and nothing happens.
Just out of curiority, I tried the other hardware buttons - and pressing the back button (while the phone was off, and pluggin in a cable)
= This made the 's1download' device appear in Device manager, but none of the drivers would install for it.
Phone is
Xperia Play (white)
Model: R800i
Android: 2.3.3
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Yes it's possible to unlock your sim and bootloader, it'll cost you a little money though (about 15£).
Check this link out on how to:

so i have rooted xperia arc. noticed that there were new update (4.0.2.A.0.42). so i resetted to default settings cause otherwise it wouldnt let me install that update, then after about 5 mins of updating arc shutdown and now it wont turn on.. so i ask what should i do?
was your arc bootloader unlocked when you did this?
When your BL is locked, just flash it via SEUS.
yes, bootloader was unlocked.
thank you for quick replys
There is a fix in the sticky's
For future only people who unlocked with setool can update via FOTA, SEUS and PC Companion.
Unless you relock your bootloader

You follow the link in the tutorial closely? Needed drivers are in the flashtool directory
found them but dont really know which one i need or where to put..
edit: now that flash started but it tells me to turn debugging and uknown sources on... but how cause i cant turn that even on
edit2: after reading almost full sticky thread tried that xperia play firmware which someone said it worked, now when i try to turn it on green led blinks.. is my phone piece of junk now?
so anyone know what should i do? it wont turn on, green led blinks when i press power button, phone vibrates when i press menu button (to start fastboot).
In Android Developement of Arc is a sticky with a fix for FOTA bricked phones, just do that

Hello guys!
I'm trying to unlock the bootloader of my arc s, but it always fails and gives an error.
Man,
As long as i can see it says that your phone's bootloader is already unlocked.
Say What!?
I thought that all xperia devices sold had their bootloaders prelocked.
Does this mean that can i install Doom Kernel via fastboot?
sorrry for bad english.
Mmm,Yes i think so.It show's you that it's already unlocked .So it cannot be locked
Turn off the phone.
Hold the menu button.
Plug in the USB cable.
If the LED turns BLUE, you're unlocked.
Otherwise, it's still locked.
Thanks!!
I successfully installed DoomKernel
Congrats man, glad i've helped .BTW i didn't knew that if you led turns blue that means it's unlocked, thanks for the info man.
A friend of mine brought an xperia phone to me, I decided to help him upgrade it. The label behind has lt18i written on it, so I used the ftf for lt18i with flash tool to upgrade it. It all went well, but phone has refused to go pass the xperia boot screen, I even downgraded back to gb and it won't go pass the Sony Ericsson screen. I just saw something strange on the phone, it has an external antena between the usb port and volume control buttons. Is this the xperia arc s? And what firmware should i use to flash it
