Hi Guys,
I really need your help.
I went and got myself the new HTC Hero (G2) on t-mobile about 2 weeks ago - since i have got it i have been doing loads of research and stuff in to the device and started to have a play around with it last night.... the first thing i did was install VillainROM 5.2: RELEASE CANDIDATE - for GSM HERO (NOW WITH KITCHEN!) Image just incase summin bad happens (ironic really) and then took a nandroid backup .
I then went ahead and installed the MoDaCo ROM..... I then thought i'd try another ROM just to see how easy it is (or isn't) to load them..... but something has gone wrong somewhere.... after i loaded VillainROM custom ROM i cannot get passed the G2 Touch boot screen..... nothing seems to work.
I have wiped the device several times and formatted the sdcard several times and tried to restore from the nandroid backup but nothing has worked.
Any ideas guys?

No i can't do it nothing at all it was my first ROM ;/ and after this phone stop working at all Dont EVEN SWITCH ON WHY ??

It won't even switch on when plugged in?

If you've JUST switched ROMs, there's nothing you could've done to brick your handset, UNLESS you've flashed a CDMA radio instead of a GSM radio in order to flash the 2.1 roms.
Otherwise, try to get into recovery mode while holding the HOME button and pressing POWER ON. Don't let go until you get into recovery mode.
Like I mentioned; unless you've flashed a CDMA radio, you should be able to enter recovery.

I flashed a CDMA radio ;/ and after this i put file with rom into my memory and i flash flash was stop somewhere in the middle and phone was switched off, and now dont wont to switch on
Why would you flash a CDMA radio on a GSM Hero?

Well then you are bricked.
There are ways to recovery from this but they are not widely documented and are not easy to do.
Never ever ever flash anything CDMA on a non CDMA device and visa versa.

i was messing about installing custom roms and i think ive accidently flashed a g1 radio from my micro sd its now stuck with a little box thing with an arrow coming out and the little android man it wont go any further

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I am 99% sure your device will be toast if you flashed a G1 radio onto your desire.
I hope I am proved wrong though.

i feel really stupid as after about 15 restarts its booted up back into the defrost rom
tho i will please ask for some help how to go back to the most recent stock rom as dnt wanna mess about anymore as that was worrying

does it happen while running normally or while booting up?
I guess it's important to know what ROM you are using ... maybe you got something wrong while flashing your phone ...

the phone works fine, but if I'm running for a while, gets really hot and restarted, the rom is leedroid latest version. that can happen? any idea, I did a hard reset,

Probably a hardware issue, you need to send it to htc for repair , so go baxk to stock

Flash back to a stock Rom first and see if it still reboots.

Basic case of motherboard problem. Go back to stock and send it to HTC for repairs and they will change your motherboard.
Ok so today i noticed my wifi doesnt work anymore, it wont turn on... so i was wondering if there was anyway to go back to full stock so that the clerk at Telus wont notice it was rooted and stuff? i still have my 30 days with them i believe so, i dont think he looks at the system for root and flash anyway, can someone let me know? thanks!

Flash Stock, then get a little app called Triangle Away by Chainfire. If you go to the Dev forum there are multipe stickies to help you out.
Did you happen to change kernels at any time. Ktoonsez . It changes the wifi driver. Just reflash that kernel and all will be fine.

Before you go too far in reverting to full stock, try reflashing your kernel (or flash a new one, doesn't matter). Same thing happened to me today and this fixed it.

yeah i reflashed, but it wasnt ktoonez one though, im not too sure on how kernel flashing works tho >_< like you need aosp kernel for cm9/10 or wtv and blahblah so i dont want to go too far in that before im sure the hardware isnt the problem you know
After trying a few custom ROMs, I've decided to revert back to the old stock ROM, and unroot because I still had my warranty left. So I downloaded the latest ROM available in the Stock ROMs thread, to be specific I8150DXLM3 Malaysia. :victory:
And after flashing via odin, at random times it would shut itself off, which is rather annoying. There was a phone call from a VIP and I couldn't answer it due to the sudden disappearance. HELP. Grr! I hate the stock ROM now. The only reason I used it I really like the Touchwiz. (Don't really care that much for the warranty) Is there any custom ROM that has Touchwiz that doesn't have all the Samsung bloatware?

Before going back to stock, go pristine using CWM 1st. Format data, system and everything you can see. Then reboot into download mode and flash Stock ROM back.
Odds are unless your phone breaks in hardware stage, the SSC will still know its been rooted before. But then in Malaysia they're all lazy asses so you'd wanna find the one that looks the laziest. **malaysian here

check the status of your battery. if it is swollen you must change it. it's happened to me some weeks ago and to some many other users that hava the wonder from one year!! if it is ok simply try factory reset
my phone only shut down itself in paranoid rom..

Haha, no. I just checked the batteryy it's not.
Although, after rooting again, and installing XXLM8 Kernel and Seeders V5 apk it works smoothly and no shut downs so far.

identical situation here in the philippines,,, regarding samsung care center,,,,
i guess,, they really dont have a way to detect whether yours is rooted or installed with a custom rom,,
i've sent my phone too,, because of a power issue,, as it wont turn on,, :crying:
before that,, ive installed cow bionic rom 2,,, then it shuts down itself,, and had no other means of powering it on,,,
so ive gambled myself in bringing it to them,,,
after a week,, they've said that its a board problem,, and needed to be replaced for free ,, since its under warranty,,, but had to be with them for at least a month,,,
after a month,, theyve returned it to me,,,,, and they even didnt detect that its rooted,, has cwm recovery,,, and installed with a custom rom,,,,

my wonder has turned off simultaniusly on 20% on Stock and on Custom Rom, Ive had the battery 2 weeks ago changed. Whats the matter?
