Epic 4G Touch
Device Tree:

(prebuilt kernel is up2date)
Kernel Sources:
https://github.com/teamhacksung/samsung-kernel-c1spr
Stock Ramdisk:
https://github.com/teamhacksung/clockworkmod_epic4gtouch_initramfs
Everything else is in:
https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_device_samsung_c1-common
What to do?
init.rc needs some additions for wimax, we should add a define like IS_CDMA_PHONE in BoardConfig.mk and then in c1-common we're able to copy init.cdma.rc -> init.rc if IS_CDMA_PHONE.

If I knew I would...what did he say? Link?

You realize that the HTC Evo, one of the hottest phones for XDA, took 6 weeks to get CM right?
It takes time. It's not instant.

That stupid ass epic was the bastard because of the hard keyboard that, made it almost impossible to get most any rom but stock on it .....

It will come with time. GSM phones usually get more development done. I'm new to sprint but I don't mind.

According to the alpha release:
With that said, a list of things that DO work ::
* Radio almost works fully - Calling, SMS, and Data are working.
* Bluetooth works for music. (A2DP)
* Wifi works fully.
* 3D Graphics Acceleration
* Video codecs mostly working, some stuttering with HD content.
* Screen on/off animation.
* Sensors work, but may be slow. Run /system/bin/sensorcalibutil_yamaha in terminal or via adb, place the phone on a flat surface, and hit Enter. Reboot the phone and sensors will function at normal speed.
What does NOT work ::
* GPS
* Camera
* Multimedia Messaging
* Bluetooth In-Call (Hands-Free Profile)
* WiMax 4G (This is absolute LAST priority, DON'T ASK ABOUT IT)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=992318
I had Cyanogen on my Epic 4G for a little while, just for ****s & giggles. It was lovely, except for the above (obviously).
The keyboard worked fine, by the way...

OP: Be patient....It'll come. Be thankful that the CM team is working on our device.

I just got a CM7 tester for my Epic...supposedly camera works but no Wifi. I will try it and report back. 7.1 stable is nice on Nexus but I can't get Bluetooth to connect

[Discontinued]MIUIce Cream Sammich [Android4.0.1 + MIUI Hybrid][UPDATE 11/12/11]

Unfortunately, XDA has banned Galnet ROMs due to one or more GPL violations. As a rule abiding XDA user, I cannot continue to support this ROM.
MIUIceCreamSammich - A Port of Galnet ICS MIUI build.
Every special day gets a ROM, and this ROM's release date was 11.11.11!

Repair to Sensor management in Debug mode
UI Improvements

Everything should be working, Inform me if I am wrong.
Please note: This looks exactly the same as normal MIUI. ICS benefits are running under the hood. This is not a pure ICS ROM, nor is it MIUI's official Ice Cream Sandwich build; This is just loads of the ICS Framework blended in to the current MIUI Build by Galnet.
Instructions: Wipe user Data and /system. Flash ROM. Eat cookie. Play a song of accomplishment and enjoy.

Of course, Thanks to GalnetMIUI team for even making a MIUI + ICS Hybrid, and thanks to all the MIUI team for making the ever so awesome MIUI.

[ROM][PORT] Arc S ICS Port | 4.0.3 | 4/1/12

.
-= Nexus S 4G Xperia Port =-
I'm finally moving to the E4GT, so my help on this will be minimal. I ported this from the gsm Nexus Timescape rom (deleted from forum, forgot who op was) about a week ago. I do not remember the bugs. When I flashed, most things were working, including network and data.
Saying this, let me know what is wrong and I will try to help. I am lazy and reset my nexus s 4g earlier today so I do not want to flash this and create a list.

Knowing sony ericsson, this will be the final rom, as well....they'll call it alpha, wait for a few weeks, then call the exact same build the final release.
Thanks for making the rom for us to play with....I just have a bad taste in my mouth in regards to SE's firmware after I saw how bad their official roms were on x10.
Huge thank you!!!

yeah i ported this just for kicks, and when i saw how ugly it actually was, i didnt know if it was just a messed up leak or if thats how sony ericson designs stuff..
and yeah data and stuff isnt working right now, this is an ics port from i think a global phone.. and im just starting to dig around in ics framework, its a little different, so give me some time and i will have some stuff figured out

I don't know anything about the port process but would it be easier to port an Xperia rom like the Play CDMA ver? Since I don't believe there's a CDMA ver of Arc? I don't honestly know if that matters.

[Rom][Port][JB] CM10 Jelly Bro [NS4G][Updated 8/7/2012]

I had permission from gearhead customs to port this rom from the Crespo/Nexus S, Thought I would drop a port for those of you who wanted to try this rom before the official version gets released for our phone, this is my first time to port a ROM so please don't be too discriminational, I did use burnsa's cm10 8/02 experimental ROM as a base for porting this ROM, enjoy guys and hopefully I can find a resolvement(word?) for the issues at hand, special thanks to anthonycr, Evol4g, Mr Highway, MichaelCampos for teaching me how to properly port and helping me with any issues I had, thanks for the devs that put porting tutorials together, it helped a lot, hopefully some of them will get updated soon for Jelly Bean roms.

Unfortunately as far as wimax goes, I don't think it will be available on this port considering I'm so called "forward porting" meaning taking a ROM that originally has no 4g option and trying to make it so, every attempt I have made I run into an endless bootloop, I don't know if it can be done as far as this Rom goes, but at this point as far as that's concerned, not very likely to have 4G on this with no 4G option period under Settings>More

Just wanted to chime in and say I'm very impressed with how smooth this has been considering there aren't any nightly builds for the crespo 4g. Performance is definitely up from CM9 rc2 and I see no reason to go back to cm9.

Cyanogenmod 9 Stable for Hercules

I'm just posting a direct link to the CM download link for the SGH-T989. I'm not the developer (Obviously) this is pure non-kanged CM9 AOSP goodness. Finally out of RC phase, stable and ready to go.
http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=hercules&type=stable
Alright fellas, I'm not the developer. All of your questions really need to go to the Cyanogenmod team. I can only post information at my disposal. That being said this is a link to the things being merged for the Hercules.
http://review.cyanogenmod.com/#/q/s...ndroid_device_samsung_hercules+branch:ics,n,z
And whats cooking in the nightly builds
http://changelog.bbqdroid.org/#hercules/cm9/1344626800
Also, for all the "how is this working, does this do etc etc. Make a nandroid- follow classic wipe procedures IE TDJ ext wipe - flash rom - flash gapps - flash cache wipe and........ Find out for yourself.
This means the CM team can focus on CMX

This is running beautifully. Going to take a break from the CM10 madness for a bit and use this.

How are the 4G speeds, the bluetooth volume and USB transfer speed?
Last I tried some weeks ago in July, all those were very low.

I flashed it...and re-flashed back to my previous rom. The USB transfer speed was horrible. And one of my biggest gripe is the stock ics camera does not have touch to focus...but I suppose this is a feature the CM team is still working on.

anywhere we can find out what works and what doesnt? But since its out of RC, everything should be working but like the usb transfer speed stuff would be consider small bugs right?

The transfers speeds have always been very low with CM9. I don't think it's a bug as much as they've just not increased the read/write speed for whatever reason. I believe you can adjust that with Rom Tool Box of you want. I need to try that to.
I've never really used touch to focus. Do other CM ROM's have this feature? Maybe they'll include it in CM10.

Really glad they made CM9 stable. I totally forgot about it since CM10 came out. Lol

I ran through every build of jelly bean. Though its gorgeous and project butter greatly outweighs lenaro compilation in terms of performance output. In terms of stability and real world use CM9 wins for me. And with enough mods and under the hood tweaking my phone out performs the S3 in several ways. So if my year old device can beat its brand new sibling I'm a happy camper. CM10 will be fantastic once stable. Until then I need to have a phone not a toy.

Ok I clicked those two links with "info" and yea that was chinese lmao
Anyone running CM9 Stable care to comment on if they got 4G working? Last I tried Chop's CM9 and AOKP I couldnt get 4G, which was pretty much the reason why I'm running a non AOSP rom at the moment. Darkside is pretty badass and props to the dev but I love me straight up AOSP.
Also very minor issue but if you can check if NBA Jams is working?

Yes. HSDPA+ and HSPAP are functioning normally. At least for me they are. Never had any issues with any rom as far as that goes. Granted Stock ICS and the Darkside series gave slightly faster speeds. The difference is negligible in real world use. As far as benchmarks are concerned yes AOSP based roms are slightly slower. Keywords though, "real world usage". Fairly certain it has something to do with the bcm4330 drivers. Perhaps Samsung uses different drivers in-house as opposed to what they open source. Or perhaps they only open source parts of the driver that they have to and the rest is proprietary.
Cool, I'll give it a flash in a few moments and try it out.
On Chop's CM9 and on AOKP I couldnt get on 4g, I'd be stuck on 3G and even in areas where I would normally get 5+ Mbits I'd be getting like 1-2 so it wasnt that it was just saying 3G.

You should give credit to mikeyxda. Awesome dev who made it possible for a lot of people to use google now when jellybean was scarce. Keep in mind that it won't update since we are on ics.
Yes I have been running this for a long time it is so cool. However the version have sometimes does not open up links. Does this version have that bug?

This version is not the updated version, and says there is a new version in the Google Play store. It still has the same old bug like not being able to add a favorite sports team.
Like I said a few posts up it isn't configured for ics devices. This one was made usable by mikeyxda.... The moment we have jelly bean it'll function properly but this is better than nothing.

I think this is the best one I have used I have no issues everything works except for the update which is obvious.
