Speedtest not working. Anyone else experiencing this. I have yet to run this to test my speeds.

Not sure seems to be working fine for me on my phone. Although got to admit the speeds were crap on the 3G network.
What version are you running.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA Premium App
I am using version 2.0.5
just tested speed test side by side with my wife's epic 4G and it ran fine on both. Also Speeds were always as good or better on the Epic Touch (FYI).
It wasn't working for me either. I tried FCC Test and it seems to be fine although the layout isn't as purdy
I like speakeasy speed test. Its not an apply but use your internet browser.

Speedtest works normally on my SGS2E4GT, but i have been extremely upset with sprints 3g results on all my family plan phones. I work in Houston, live in suburbs, and I get usually 100-500kbps on average, with bests around 1600kbps on a very good day. 4g however, when in decent signal is above 6000kbps.

Just monitoring my data lately.... seems to be getting better lately! I will keep testing up until the big announcement.

call tech support, or better get them on chat. It's easier.
....tell them you have abysmally slow data speeds and want a data refresh. Every time I have activated a phone on Sprint since the E3D came out (that's been like 6 or 7 phones, lol) I have had to do this because of ABSURDLY slow data speeds....and this helped a ton.
If that doesn't help then maybe it's a hardware defect...if that doesn't help then the Sprint blows in your area.
Yup me and my friend are getting almost double the 3g speed and better 4g speed for the past week or two
Wow...i spend so much time on wifi that i havent really noticed, but i just installed speedtest and ran a battery of tests...holy crap

My 3g has been super fast over the last few days.
Swyped from my Samsung Galaxy SII EPIC 4g Touch on XDA Premium!
I'm not sure where people that are getting better data live. If it's in a major city it would make sense though. I would bet that places like NYC, LA, Miami ect may be getting the network beefed up in anticipation of the Iphone.
The last thing Sprint needs is to get crappy reviews on the Iphone due to a sluggish network.
My 3g is next to useless. And I live in San Antonio.

Bars have nothing to do with data...I have seen 0-1 bars and still pulled 600kbps DATA

I'm in Milwaukee. 3g is barely passable I unless you are near a freeway or the airport... Then I can pull 250kB down.
The rest of the time I average 30kB out less.

I live in the middle of Phoenix, AZ and i get about 0.50mbps down on average and we dont have 4G here.

My data speeds have doubled in the last 5 days. I'm loving it.

Just updated OTA to ek02 and am experiencing slower 3g speeds... with and without the tweak. Anyone else noticing this or is it just me?

For me with update, 3g is same, but 4g is almost double.

Sprint's 3G is stupid slow. It's completely unusable around here. For example, the Android Market. Most things say they are "starting to download" then they never do.
I did a speed test and my ping was like 900~1100+ with a download speed of 7~13kbps and an upload speed of 50~100kbps or so.
Seriously, 7~13kbps download?
The only reason I put up with this crap is I'm almost NEVER away from wireless. I work in the technologies field with full gig-network access on almost all the campuses I'm at threw out the day and 105mbit at home.

Wow, that is really slow. I don't have it that bad lol. But with that ping and those speeds, it seems like something is uploading constantly. That's the only time I've ever seen speed tests like that for me, while i was uploading songs to Google music. That's interesting.
As for the speed test tho, i feel there is an issue with the actually test and specifically our 3g. The reason i say this is because the speed test will give me a result of 40-50kB/s, but then i will download a torrent at like 150kB/s.... all in the same area. Very weird.

Sprints download speed for me is around .12kbs to .45kbs in good reception areas... in the same areas ATT gets 3.5mbs and Verizon is very stable with good reception and stable internet that is around 1.5 mbs... so ATT is wicked fast 3g but the reception and internet are both hit and miss as far as coverage goes. Where as Verizon may not be the fastest internet, they are well within my personal tolerance and needs... and their coverage surpasses ATT by a long haul in my area... notice i haven't mentioned sprint? That's because my download speeds on average are (like previously stated) between 10kbs and 50kbs at most! 50kbs is the fastest I've ever gotten with the speestest.net app! Don't even get me started on call reception.... I've honestly had more dropped calls in a month and a half then I've had with every other company combined throughout my life. End rant

Hey guys i'm new to the epic 4g touch coming from the HTC Inspire so bare with me. When I was at home (Chicago suburbs) I could get usually around 1Mbps (give or take) on 3g and around
4Mbps on 4g. I just moved back to school and i'm getting super slow speeds. I get maybe 300Kbps sometimes up to 500Kbps sheen it is 3am on 3g and barely reaching 1.1Mbps on 4g. Although to be fair the 4g is a bit spotty, but my 3g had plenty of signal.
Could this be from my modem and would flashing different modems help? Or would the cause just because the service isn't as great here.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA Premium App
There is no harm in trying a new modem but those 3G speeds are actually pretty good compared to what some are seeing !.
Okay I'll try out a few and see how they do

I was wondering if anyone else in a 4G area had sucky speeds today? Here's what I had today and I'm normally running between 6-10mbps. Today's speed tests ranged from 0.5-2mbps.
Okay where the heck are you at???? Its all a matter of location. Might be setting up lte.
Sent from my SPH-D700 using xda premium
I had wondered that myself. I live in Nashville and we're rumored to get LTE pretty soon, but that sucks for anyone with a WiMax phone that isn't up for an upgrade. I personally buy and resell phones all the time. I'll get whatever gets me the fastest speeds.
I live in Nashville too and I get both slow and fast speeds depending on if im at home or at church. It could be your location or towers

Hi, I'm here in Williamsburg, with updated everything (PRL, software, firmware, modem, etc) on a rooted stock MD4 ROM. And when I turn on my 4g LTE radio, because I have pretty decent coverage here in the burg, I usually get speeds of about 90-200 kbps. Since the new update of speed test, it doesn't even ping at all because of how slow it is. When LTE first reached Williamsburg I had a solid 16-24 Mbps in certain areas. Multiple people tell me its the amount of people that is throttling it but that I don't think that is logical since 3g is faster. Any ideas? Anything I'm doing wrong?
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
Are they working on the Network in your area ?
Well every LTE site is technically still being "worked on" but the base LTE has been up for a while.
Sent from my SPH-L710 using xda app-developers app
Most be Network issue. Happened to me, I was able to connect to LTE, but no data or slower than 3g. I'm running Slim, so I just turned off LTE. It lasts for over a week. And I'm really far away from you, so yes must be Network issue.
