Hey Guys,
i allready searched google and the forum for any help ...
i just got a defy+ and was happy to find a way to root it, install 2nd init and boot liquidarc ... then i've seen that the battery isn't fully charging ...
the defy+ charges to 80% ~ 90% and then stops. the phone says it's quite loading but nothing happens even after hours.
my father got an defy with green lense also with liquidarc and there the battery is loading to 100%.
it's driving me crazy, cause it dont seem to be a hardware problem. the stock rom charges normally to 100%
also the problem appears with other custom roms but with different %.
does anyone have an idea, what this could be ???
thanks for help
You could use the battery calibrate from market.
Sent from my awesome Moto Defy: Stock Rooted Gingerbread 2.3.3 - XDA Premium
thanks for your answer, but i allready tried to wipe the battery stats and recalibrate ...is there a known problem with these defy roms on defy+ that may affect the battery?
The battery on the two phones is different so obviously it would require a compatible module to work. You can replace the battd file as suggested by walter79.
Sent from my MB525 using Tapatalk
Yea, I would think it was because Defy+ is using higher battery capacity of which it having different battd file. Flashing into liquidarc rom has changed the battd file and ruin the charging process. Perhaps you could get back your original Defy+ battd file into your liquidarc.
I'm not sure if this is the logical statements but something is better than nothing.
as ryan8r says try to change the battd. check out my wallpaper issue post you will find battd file zip there. goodluck
i have this same problem :| ROM 2.3.4-134_DFP-10 Defy+
if someone could provide "battd" from the new Defy + or orginal firmware with orginal battd??

You still need to re-calibrate the battery using the battery calibrator from the market. Follow the instruction within the apps when you installed it.

Callibration has nothin to do with it! Did you set the permissions correctly for the battd file?
Sent from my MB525 using Tapatalk
What should I set the permissions for this file? I flash 4.5.1-128 and testing now.
Edit: 4.5.1-128 - stop at 84% after replace battd (permissions set the same as the original file in system\bin) i got popup "invalid battery" and got gquestion mark in battery icon..
I need this file from intact Defy + (not from Defy with ROM for Defy+, and not from chines Defy+)
Any idea ?

Is there something I can flash through CW that will give me a percentage instead of a bar for my battery indicator in my notification bar? I'm currently using SenseGinger v3.0 (2.3/Sense) by Team Villain. Any help would be appreciated.
http://uot.dakra.lt/ Make sure to read how-to (it's really short and simple).
EDIT: NWM, i made one for you Just make a Nandroid backup before flashing (just in case)

sorry but didnt work for me, got a boot loop after flashing, I think its cuz I flashed it over gingerVillan 1.5 and not CM. but I thought GV 1.5 is like 70% CM?
That's weird

You can use it ONLY with SenseGinger v3.0 ROM. For other ROMs you'll have to visit the website i mentioned above and make one for your self
its not working, UOT wont let me submit it only with the battery mod.

Kitchen working just fine and bellow is a proof of my words:
Flashable .zip for GingerVillan 1.5 only (make sure to do Nandroid Backup before flashing)
Can you explain how you did that?
C'mon guys, it's pretty well explained in their website - http://uot.dakra.lt/how_to/
If you go to the kitchen website, you basicallly choose the options you want and then you click submit after you've put in everything that you want i.e. battery indicator, scroll glow, and etc. Then you have to wait while the kitchen puts it together and then it'll give you the zip file which you just flash through clock work and you're done. I believe there is also a how to section on the kitchen website. This thing is brilliant. It made senseginger 3.0 the best rom. Now if someone would come out with a kernel that would work for this rom so that I can over clock this bad boy that would be great.

So I made the battery mod, but I can't submit it to the kitchen.
Can someone help me?
Have you uploaded SystemUi.apk and Framework-res.apk files? If not, do so, then select mod/mod's you like and only then click on "submit".
I'm a total noob in this stuff, where can I find those files?
While I am not rooted, I use Zbox from the market. It has a number of utilities in one package with menu bar indicators and battery % is one of them.

Bootlogo, shutdown & battery charging logo from SGS2. Enjoy!
CWM package, apply via Recovery.
I installed Goatrip's ROM which includes the new boot and shutdown from the SGS2. If I flash this, will that screw anything up? I would like to get the new battery charging thing but just want to make sure I won't encounter any problems installing it.
Thanks!

Before install please take a look into your ROM, if you have the same files inside your ROM then this would simply replace it with new ones, nothing to lose
Can you post screenshots please? I would like to be certain what it is exactly.
WORKS GREAT HERE THX !
yeah, screenshots pls
Ditto screen shot please...
I checked it already, looks really nice. First a space scene with stars then this forms into the Samsung logo. Don't know how else to describe it. Had 1 FC on start and eventually restored back to my normal setup with nandroid.
não tem som porque ?
Worked a OK
no issues @ all (de-Odexed XWJVB (2.3.3); CF-Root KERNEL 3.1; Gingerbread theme v5.3
also SIMPLY HONEY 3.2 FINAL V2 is OK
but
still like the old sexy S on our beloved SGS 1
Anybody tried this on a Darky's ROM set-up?

CM10.1 on Galaxy I9000B
So is this only for stock roms or can we use it in custom roms?
Sent from my GT-P7510 using Tapatalk HD
Hi guys, first time posting here been lurking for a few weeks gathering information and plucking up the courage to flash my shiny new S II with a custom rom etc.
I think im going to go for SlimICS but i have a question regarding battery indicators.
there is a battery indicator in the foxhound rom thread called Space 'Battery Universal' is there anyway to install this into SlimICS or is it only for foxhound? i googled and searched in this forum but couldnt find any information. are battery indicators universal or specific to certain roms?
also, as far as I can see there are no guides on how to install these roms. as i said i did a quick google and search but couldnt find anything, i didnt spend ALOT of time searching, so I apologise in advance if I missed something obvious.
cheers guys
you could do it as its only PNG images however SlimICS would need to have 1% increments... if it does then all you need to is replace the PNG images in SystemUI.apk (located in system/app)
I would actually recommend using my tool located here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1434061
Hope this helps..

May I ask, how the hell does this change battery icons? Did you even read the OP????
cheers guys!
is there a guide on how to install a custom rom anywhere? ive searched high and low but cant find one, they all assume you already know what youre doing.
HTC roms had really nice guides for total noobs and i was able to flash that with relative ease.

anyway, use my tool and it should take care of it for you... I think I have foxhound, I might even do it for you...
I'll have a look...
---------- Post added at 10:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:48 PM ----------
sorry mate, as far as I can see, foxhound only has normal battery images... unless you could show me what they look like?
---------- Post added at 10:58 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:56 PM ----------
Ok found them.. gimme a sec
Flash this zip after you've installed SlimICS.
ahh thanks mate, so after installing slimICS i just install this battery indicator using your tool and it will work?
nice.
last question, would you recommend foxhound? reading the forums it seems like these two are the nicest along with cynogen. I cant seem to decide which though, reading about cynogen it seems like alot of things dont work? whereas foxhound and slimics people seem to be quite happy.

No probs.
Yeah just flash this after SlimICS. I made it using my tool to save you the trouble.
I would recommend CM9 but I'm biased =]
The only things that don't work are FM Radio and TV out.. which I don't use anyway.
Slim is ok and so is foxhound as far as I have been told... you have to decide, Samsung based ROM or AOSP.
ahh I just read about cm9, going to install that.
but im so confused, everything says different stuff. root dont root, firmware, kernal etc.
i want to use odin as it seems the easiest way. but these guides are making my mind implode. some stuff is so confusing :/
*edit*
got cm7 on it, upgrading to 9 now
If you're already rooted, you just need the flashable zip and maybe download the ICS bootloader (try flashing the ROM without the ICS first, if you don't need it, don't flash it)
just did everything, looks nice!!!
can i still flash that batt indicator onto cm9?

I wouldn't no.
Gimme a few minutes, I'll make you one for CM9.
Space Battery for CM9
Hope this helps.
cheers man!
just out of interest, how do you make one for separate roms?
just so I can do it my self next time
with my tool...
It should work with both CM* and LP* based ROMs.
ummm, i flashed the zip you gave me for slim ics and now i have no status bar, and got some kind of system ui error on startup. ;(
I forgot to backup before i Installed it too, is there anyway to fix this or am I going to need to reinstall slim ics?
I found this thread which increase battery life ...
So i think if its working will be great to our wonder
Didn't test it yet
