[Q] simlock

hi all
model: wildfire S A510e locked to orangeUK
Q... I have manged to unlock the hboot using this guide :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1432474 as htcdev didnt work i still have s-on not rooted but i want to unlock to all networks is this possible? or perhaps just to unlock to o2uk
thanks
Xtc clip is the only solution.
Unless you do it through orange which will cost you more and wont give you s-off.
Find a good mobile shop and it should cost you about £10 and you'll be s-off too.
Yeah I thought as much thanks for the support

[Q] Rooting HTC Wildfire S

I have a question. I've seen somewhere on this forum that rooting my phone would cancel my warranty. So, i was wondering, if i root my phone while staying S-on would this apply or not???

The root will apply but when u unlock bootloader, then your warranty would be voided(canceled). Your wildfire s needs to have a unlocked bootloader in order to root; it will still say s-on in bootloader but the bootloader itself is unlocked, not the secu_flag (s-on/s-off.

[Q] S-OFF?

Hello,
I have a Wildfire S a510e unlocked with HTC Unlocked (code).
Put m1ndh4x8r rom on it and is working great.
Now ive read some time ago that S-OFF was only possible with a XTC-Clip
But since the bootloader is unlocked, does that mean that S-OFF is possible in other ways?
Or do i still need a XTC Clip to do so?
I want S-OFF to change my boot screen
I did search some topics but cant find the exact answer (yes/no).
Thanks.
You still need XTC Clip to get S-OFF
Have you tried this tutorial? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1308169 don't think you need s-off

Looks to me like it requires S-OFF. The people who couldn't get it to work all had S-ON.

Unlocking bootloader

Hi guys. I have visited htcdev.com to try to get my HTC wildfire unlocked. However, I am unsure of which carrier to choose from. I am from Singapore. Which carrier should I choose? Please advice.

It might help if you post the info from your bootloader screen. Turn off fast boot in your settings. Hold the volume down button when u turn on the phone. There are several tools in the development forum for this.

You don't need to update HBoot.

how to unlock bootloader after already s-off

So I'm gonna s-off my new M8 tomorrow with firewater (hopefully) but I was hoping to do it with the temproot method. This means the bootloader wont be unlocked before the process. I was wandering if I could unlock the bootloader after s-off without htcdev. Is this possible?

Thank you, I searched but I guess I just missed this.
