Hey Fellas, i just wanna start by saying yes i've read the previous posts about some people having the "thin line" across their screen but my situation is very unique to theirs.
And as well, this is -- as far as i know the first problem with the Epics, mine at least ..
Ill provide the pictures at the bottom,, i tryed my best to capture them (its a webcam lol).
Any help would be appreciated it ..
Running Absolut's stock deodex'd with bubbys kernel .. This morning i was about to revert back to completely stock to see if that changes it but i just wanted to take it easy until the good ol'e folks here at XDA help me out.

http://i56.tinypic.com/289hpuf.jpg (after lockout, as you can see it dissappears)
I've also done the LCD tests, and i have NO line during any of the red or blue or white images, very strange indeed.

I...have no idea. My immediate thought is that if it disappears then screw it lol, it only occurs during lockout. I did not have this problem when I was testing my rom out, but I'll re-flash it in a little while and try to re-create your problem.
---------- Post added at 05:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:52 PM ----------
Well i was able to re-create the problem on my rom.
Then I nandroided back to pure stock (even erased root...back to nothing lol).
Low and behold here it is again.
Got a screenie from my nandroid backup (which is untainted stock + blownco's honeycomb battery mod + crt).

Glad to know this isn't a problem with my rom, it's a problem with stock in general. I haven't the faintest idea how to fix it though, sorry
There's always a chance it was supposed to be there, like a way to separate the time, etc part from the lock pattern part. So it could be intentional. Sorry I couldn't be of any further help.
No problem, so far we got about 4-5 people able to confirm this, so this IS "problem" embedded into the phone itself ..
relieved to know it wasnt caused by myself!

I've moved my post over to this section of the forum (out of the General Section)in hopes of finding one of you really intelligent tech guys who can solve this problem. I do not want to be out of line in posting this on the wrong board and apologize if I have done so.....I'm just really looking for a resolution to this problem.
I have a new Verizon XV6800 with NOTHING installed on it that would cause this problem. Stock out of the box.
On the Verizon XV6800, if you have received(missed) a MMS, the Flashing Amber Light will not appear so you can be notified of missing the MMS.
To the best of my knowledge, all XV6800 owners are experiencing this same problem when missing a MMS??
Under Start>Settings>Sounds & Notifications>Notifications>Event[Messaging: MMS Downloaded or New MMS], the phone will not allow you the option to check "Flash light for" to turn on this feature?? See the thumbnail
I have gone over this with Verizon and ETStarcomm several times and every XV6800 that they have tried does the exact same thing and they really don't care at all.
Again, the issue: On the Verizon XV6800, if a MMS is received/missed, unless you are right there at that very moment with your phone in hand and receive a ringtone(if you've set it up that way), then you will NEVER see a FLASHING AMBER LIGHT notifying that you've missed a message. Only the normal GREEN FLASHING LIGHT will be displayed and leads you to believe that you have not missed a MMS. This only happens with MMS. Any missed emails, text messages and/or phone calls will all cause the FLASHING AMBER LIGHT to come on.
Can anyone on this forum tell me if there is there a way to fix it??
Thanks for your help. Mark

Thanks for your response. Yes, I did see that post and it seems that it could possibly be the solution I've been looking for. I even sent nuchem a PM about that possiblity and he suggested that I install his program to give it a try. I would definitely do that, but his post has references to renaming certain files or registry entries. Yikes!!! I am such a newbie that the thought of even doing such a thing really scares me. Not even sure how I would go about editing the registry and if I did something wrong, well.....I've already got one disabled light so I sure don't need another one, or even worse, a non-functioning device. But, it does seem that his program is very straightforward and really slick. Just remarks about changing the registry and/or file names is causing me to hesitate 'cause I sure wish I knew more about this sort of thing.
I am though, growing extremely sick and tired of hearing Verizon tell me that there is nothing they can do about it. I'm all but positive that someone on this forum has the expertise to resolve what Verizon says they can't. Just need to find that person (I'm really hoping!!).
Thanks again for your response. Regards, Mark
Just as before the attached theme is not my own work i take no credit for anyone else's efforts! This is a slightly modified hybrid but i've swapped the splash screen from red and black, swiped icons from a couple of other themes and changed the message and usb notification. It now shows a % of battery life (10,20,40,60,80,100) which you can see in my second screen shot. This was modified purely for my personal use but until tootall4la gets round to updating his work i figured i'd put this up. No other versions will be made.
As always if you see your work here and want specific credit you can either claim it in this thread or pm me and i'll edit my post. To anyone upset i've used their grey bar, or stolen their icons, let me remind you you most likely stole the idea if not the actual image from someone else! If you still want this removed because you're work is borrowed then pm me and i'll take it down, i will not be checking the thread replies!
Anyway without furthur ado the modified mod

P.S. to the mod who pm'd me, you do realise i am none the wiser as to what least a i've done to offend you. I am sure that starting a fight with a mod would be a pointless endeavor resulting in at least a temp ban so if you feel like explaining what part of my "not my work and do you really care that much about an icon" post upsets you.
how about some screenshots??
if you have the android usb loaded right and have the sdk folder, go in to tools and connect your phone, open up ddms and press CTRL + E, or go to tools and screen capture.... then you can post your screenshots, i didnt kno how to at first myself
im sure someone wil correct me since im not looking at it right now
yo fallen thanks bro...
ill download it and see what u made...
ill download it and then take off the post..
i know u wanna help me so pm me or send me an email
if you want a screenshot just go look at the other hybrid...
its almost identical and i actually loaded this onto my phone to make some screenshots for ya but its so pointless because its basically the original hybrid, minus a couple of things which no offense to this guy but what is the point here?
i LOVE the battery percent signs!!!
Stock Tilt2. Every now and then there will be a bubble notification on the top of the screen, and when I tap on it the Notifications screen that comes up shows (underneath Medianet and battery) simply an exclamation point inside a circle, with no accompanying text. Clicking on it does nothing, and Dismiss All doesn't remove it. I have to soft reset to get rid of it.
Any ideas? (Other than flashing a new ROM! I'm actually perfectly happy with the stock ROM.)
This problem is happening on two separate Tilt2s, both with stock AT&T ROM; any ideas? Screenshot attached.

You should find a use for them, let them breed and then corner the market and sell them.
WarlockW's post should help you out.
If that cab does not fix it, are you running ActiveSync with Exchange?
I had a similar issue with my old phone. It was a problem with my account on the exchange server. I had to have my profile recreated.
No I dont use exchange. I have read around here others having the issue as well though.
I've only experienced with issue with cooked roms. The stock Verizon 6.1 rom never displayed that issue. Unfortunately, I've yet to find the cause.
Thanks for the help with this. I actually am using Exchange. I was using 2007 and updated to 2010 since posting (which involved rebuilding my mailbox), and haven't had the problem since. So perhaps it was that, but I'll post again shortly with an update after I've had some time using it.

Dagordon,
I think its a defect on some of the phones they rolled out. I called HTC support, and they did not have a solution. Good thing for me is that the phone was less than 30 days old. The guy at the dealership took it back with no questions asked when I showed it to him.
I would think that your only option is what you mentioned above (flashing it with stock ROM).
Damn. The problem persists, even with a new Exchange setup. And the fixunreadcount program doesn't fix it -- it'll run successfully but the empty notification will remain.
So rfrancoi, you're saying that this problem only happens on some Touch Pro 2/Tilt2s, as in a different one might not have the problem?
Hello, I've got a weird error that I don't even know how to begin tracking down. Not sure if this is an ICS issue, an app issue, or a device (hardware) issue.
Several times now, I get a problem were, after a reboot, all the text on my home screen - names for apps and text within widgets is mangled somehow. Like pixels inverted, or boxed over, etc. (see screenshot)

The first couple of times this happened, a single reboot made it go away. However with my latest occurrence, I've rebooted several times without a fix.
EDIT: It seems like my data connection may also require examination? Since on the 3rd or 4th reboot I was in my office with a solid WiFi connection (versus previous reboots I was in my car en-route), the problem has now gone away again.
My initial reboot this morning was as a quick-fix attempt at an absent data connection. Guess I'm off to research these "radios" everyone keeps on about...
EDIT 2: Ok, perhaps ignore the above. After a reboot made this go away, it has now come back spontaneously (i.e. just noticed it sitting in the cradle with the error again - no reboot this time.) CRUUUUD.
Are you using a custom Kernel? Some 'Overclock' the GPU to 512MHz, while Stock is 384MHz. Some devices can't handle the increase and cause screen artifacts. Post your Kernel details and I'm sure someone will point you in the direction of another Kernel if this is the case.
Not that I know of - should be all stock, since I haven't rooted or unlocked anything yet (just got the phone a couple of weeks ago).
Thanks for the help.
Stock launcher? Or using nova/apex etc?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
Hi,
Another thread...:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1646985
Nothing related to GPU overclock...just about this possibility...
Looking in different threads in Q&A/General.
If you are using the stock launcher...I think I saw a topic with this weird issue with the stock launcher...but I can not find it anymore
In any case clear data/cache of your current launcher, reboot and see...If you're on another launcher than stock,reinstall...
I speak only for the launcher issue.
Yep, stock launcher. Thanks for the other thread.
Seems to be at bay now. Will keep an eye on it.
My camera was lagging and the camera app was crashing , everyday it got worse until today in which the camera either crashes or glitches with weird colours like this :

Did you get it wet? Go for a run with it in your pocket and get it sweaty? My friend had a similar problem with his Nexus 4 after getting it water damaged.

Hmmm yeah, I have done that a few times but I stopped because I was a bit shocked at how much moisture got on the screen. Is it a ROM problem?

Yeah mate, you could always try and reset it to stock with a new KDZ flash. It may get a bit technical but over on the G3 General page there is a good guide for it. Just make sure you back up everything, contacts, messages, apps, data, photos, music, downloads.. ect to your computer or copy all that stuff to your external SD card, or you will loose it. Also make sure you are flashing the KDZ for your model, never flash one that is for a different model or you will have serious problems.
Chuck a search in google for your model number and something like " Stock factory flash " or something along those lines, then find the corresponding XDA thread for it. Hopefully that might fix your problem. If it doesn't your options are to order a new camera part from a supplier and replace it yourself, or send it in to LG and have them fix it.
Just curious, have you tried another camera app from PlayStore, just to see what it does?

I tried other camera apps , they either crash or just show black screen.
