Anyone got it running on an Inc? I use my phone to listen to music while I run and I'm really anxious to hear the new software upgrades effects it supposedly brings to the audio output.

So I got some new headphones with bigger speakers than your normal "ear buds". With the volume at full it isn't very loud...
I tried getting one of the volume boost apps from the market and it made the sounds louder for sure, but the quality we terrible. Lots of static. Is there any better solution?
I tried the headphones on my computer and the sounds was way louder and quality was excellant.

The gingertiny kernel has audio boost built into it, and also other kernels if your not on gingerbread. You can find it in the dev section. Other than that an app is your only option.
Well you see they purposely limit the output on portable devices because kids listen to it too loud. So it sucks when you get a nicer set of headphones or hook up to a stereo and it has really low volume. Get a headphone amplifier but its another device with battery you have to charge and carry with you.
Bummer, not looking carry another device. I an on miui so sense kernels are no good for me.

Not sure but im willing to bet there is a non sense kernel out there with audio boost. Or mabey a kernel module to enable it.
I'm pretty sure Chad's kernel has audioboost and it's AOSP.

Yea I used to use Chad's but it's really buggy with miui. Maybe I'll try tiamat.

I just use DSP manager and adjust the eq up a couple db's...

Chad's has audioboost and it shouldn't be buggy with MIUI. What type of issues were you having?
Use poweramp?

poweramp was useful until I tried playerpro with dspmanager.....
has anyone else noticed that the sound being output thru the audio jack on cm7 and miui is not as loud or clear as when using a touchwiz Rom? I have and I'm wondering if there is anyway of fixing or improving audio output. I don't want to carry around a ipod anymore lol any and all help appreciated

I think the volume increments are pretty broken. I've been using CM7 and I use my phone in the gym. It's been pretty irritating

I wonder if the audio can be modified to be better I heard of some mod it was like voodoo something I wonder if that can be ported to out phone

Whenever I pair my gs3 to a Bluetooth device and play music, I get bad crackling sounds. Is this cm10 problem or hardware problem?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk
I have the same issue on OTA non root JB. Motorola headsets S10-HD and S305 both have the same problem for me. This is very discouraging as they worked great with CM 9.1 on my last phone (G2)
Was hoping to find out that CM 10 was better.
Change your govenor to performance. It helps. And for CM10 I used faux kernel and got the least crackling. Or set a profile with set cpu like I did when using your favorite music player.

CM10. CM10 did not have BT support until recently, and its buggy at best.
Run stock and all your devices' features will work.
It might have to do with the bt bass bug. It was fine on earlier nightlies, but it started happening about 2-3 weeks ago. You can test by playing music, then call someone real quick and hang up. Your music should resume with full range of sound frequencies.

so recently my samsung galaxy s3 has been making a cracking noice, at first i thought it was the headset i had so i just switched those out, but it didn't fix the problem.
My phone is rooted and im running a custom ROM
is there solution to fix this?
If it's not your head phones it could be the head phones Jack
Google for a way to clean it
Also you could have messed up using a mod like bats audio app or volume plus

Are you using Bluetooth or what kind of headset? And what ROM are you on?

the tom i am currently using is JellyBomb ver. 13.0.0 [LJ7], also im not using Bluetooth im just using some Skull Kandy headset and Beats Audio Head set and they both have this cracking noise, yet when i use my other Samsung Galaxy S3 it doesn't make the cracking noise, so i have no clue if my current S3 is just creating this noise for no reason.
Are you using volume+? That app has caused me audio problems in the past. I would check DSP levels too, make sure you don't have anything jacked up to high.
Also, are you using any other sound processors like Beats audio? I really feel that your culprit lies somewhere in the sound processing and/or settings. And from my personal experience I recommend staying away from things like Beats and V+.

I wipe and clear everything then re flash my phone but I keep getting this noise.

What kernel are you using?

Is anyone else having problems on non-sense based roms where flash player is just broken?
Audio plays but the video won't update or progress unless you either rotate the phone or change something

Same here. I used to use MIUI and most of the times my phone can't load video at all. It doesn't matter if you rotate it or not. The sound played but not video. MROM is not better in that aspect.
I think it must be a kernel issue or something
