this is where I am puzzled.. It installs 'beta', im already on beta, build 7712, then it installs the bundle 'beta cleanup, and brought my phone to 7720.68
Im not sure if I am on final mango or not.. I read at many places the "cleanup" is meant to prepare wp7 mango beta users for final mango.
Btw, I still do not have hidden ssid function which is supposed to b with final mango.
The third update, is the firmware update for LG phones.
Anyone here has similar experience?

I'm on xbods hd7 rom and have 7720.68 but don't recall any updates being installed. Just the cab deployer (which may have downloaded updates?)
My touchexplorer and advnaced config both either don;t work or throw errors now which others have reported is the case when on the final mango.
I'd like to know the exact build number of the final mango, i did tweet the wp7 account asking this same question.

7720.68 is the final build of the OS version. It's really the firmware numbers that really count, and those come from the carrier/manufacturer, and will be all over the place since everyone has got different devices and device configurations.

[APP] Script for checking Kies firmware updates

I've written PHP script that pretends Kies application and asks Samsung's server about updates for given device. Reason for that was simple: I wanted to know about official Froyo release without manually checking it with Kies with registers hacks.
Download:
http://files.zajec.net/kies.updates.php.txt
Usage:
php kies.updates.php.txt
Requirements:
php with curl extension
Checking for other countries and devices:
Check last 4 lines in script and modify them. Syntax is simple:
getUpdateInfo('ANY-NAME', 'ProductCode', 'HIDSWVER');
Example:
Code:
Europe Countries / GT-I9000HKDXEU / I9000XXJF3/I9000OXAJF3/I9000XXJF3/I9000XXJF3
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LATEST_FW_VERSION I9000XXJM1/I9000OXAJF3/I9000XXJM1/I9000XXJM1
BINARY_URI http://fus.samsungmobile.com/Phone_Binary/9/GT-I9000_I9000XXJM1_I9000OXAJM1_I9000XXJM1_I9000XXJM1_XX_XEU.zip.enc
LAST_MODIFIED 10/08/21
CURRENT_DISPLAYVERSION I9000XXJF3/I9000OXAJF3/I9000XXJF3/I9000XXJF3
LATEST_DISPLAYVERSION I9000XXJM1/I9000OXAJM1/I9000XXJM1/I9000XXJM1

Never mind. I think I got it.
Just a thought. Is there any way to add an RSS feed or something to this so it notifies me if anything changes. Instant notice of FROYO Yeah baby.

kapollo, thank you!!
I'm not understanding one thing: where do I paste the php code?
Thanks.
Kies has been updated in order for the script to work you need to change the version of the Kies in the query inside the php code:
line 59: from 1.5.3.10093.82 to 1.5.3.10103.100
still no Froyo....

When you click on the PHP Website, a new project will be created, and it will contain hello world, delete everything from that window, and paste Zajecs code.

Hello,
this morning I got the message that there is "No firmware info with the given data". Yesterday it worked perfektly. The data I'm using:
getUpdateInfo('Europe Countries', 'GT-I9000HKDDBT', 'I9000XXJF3/I9000OXAJF3/I9000XXJF3/I9000XXJF3');
What could be the reason?
Maybe a fimware update?

Kies was updated and Samsung changed protocol which Kies uses to check for firmware. That way my PHP script uses outdated protocol which does not work anymore. Will have to update it when I get my hands on new Kies.
Similar issue can be noticed when using old Kies. It was reported in: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=9013623
OK, so there was not any real change in protocol. Samsung just banned old Kies versions. File available under http://files.zajec.net/kies.updates.php.txt works again.
It shows "I9000XXJPO/I9000OXAJPO/I9000XXJPP/I9000XXJPO" for Europe Countries,
"I9000XWJM2/I9000OXXJM1/I9000XXJM1/I9000XWJM2" for Poland (no branding).
Not sure what do to do now... Wait for Polish release or use version for Europe Countires?
Great work!
Do you think fus site is publishing the .enc files passkey too, somewhere within its webservice ?
I guess it should be reasonable, as Kies shouldn't know anyone at first...

Windows Phone 7.8 Deepshining BETA ROM - NO SCAM

HI guys,
Welcome to the first Windows Phone 7.8 BETA ROM. No this is not a scam it is the real thing. So, if you do not want to wait several months before Microsoft release it you should give it a try.
THINGS TO BE AWARE:
. OS Version: 7.10.8835.35
. ONLY FOR HTC HD7 (I will try to port it to other devices as soon as I have some free time)
. Available languages: only English
. You can now have the the new Windows Phone 8 Start Screen.
. I did not test it properly, I was in a hurry to share with you guys. :fingers-crossed:
. For sure, it is still a Microsoft Beta Build so some thing may not work, specially in none Nokia Devices.
. The Rom was dumped from a Nokia device and is based on Tango 12180, because it won't boot if we use WP 7.8 kernel.dll and probably most 3d party apps from Marketplace might crash.
. The Rom is almost untouched, this means it is not full unlocked or rooted and homebrew apps will not work (for now ). It has only a few Deepshining customizations.
. You can always flash back a WP7.5 Rom if you wish.
PLEASE dont flame if Rom is bugged or some things do not work. This is what I got now and I haven´t change it too much but it a start for future versions

Nothing really new, this must be an early build. One thing it bugs me is that Themes do not work so probably we might have something new related with themes soon
amazing work ill be beta tester anytime
for hd7 and surround and titan
Now if we can figure out how to rip the new start menu for all phones that would be epic
interesting ...... i just think that microsoft should do a beta of 7.8 like they did with mango last summer....
They just ditched us and said "lets pretend we care, and you guys buy a new one happyli".
They will not release any beta. Bet it.

virgin HD7
So, questions
Have a T-Mobile HD-7 (running it on Wind-Canada) and stuck at latest oem firmware (.8107), does the annoying no connection bug when wi-fi and 3G are both on bug, still exist? Its driving me nuts, i would flash just to get that fixed.
Other than backup, does one need to do anything before flashing this rom? My hd7 still a virgin, i haven't done anything to it other than OEM updates.
Thanks, and
Obrigado for all the hard work.

I would not recommend starting with this rom, it is a beta of an unreleased OS. (only for testing not stable for everyday use)
Start Here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1196261
that will get you phone ready to "flash" a custom ROM
then flash this rom for now: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1271118

Not hard at all, just takes someone willing to do it, and someone willing to be patient enough to deal with a broken ROM.
until the final official release is there hope to get only the start screen on a "working" ROM?! on devices like HTC 7 Pro? I would like to have only the start screen, i dont need new features, until the official release. But then again i dont need some extra functions
tried opening it with OSbuilder and htcrie, both failed.
Oh well

best way to upgrade from LMY47X.N920AUCU2APB2 to MMB29K.N920AUCS4CQA1
Hi,
Thanks a ton for the update!! I have a at&t note-5 being used on t-mobile and is currently on build number:LMY47X.N920AUCU2APB2(mar 2016 update) and I was wondering as to how to upgrade to the latest version MMB29K.N920AUCS4CQA1. Since I can't get my hands on a at&t sim I will need to update it manually. Could anybody please guide me as to what is the best way to get to the latest version. I did search the forum but there seem to multiple and sometimes confusing ways so wanted a little clarity on that. Thanks in advance!!
You can ODIN from your desktop PC directly to *****PK1
After that, you would then use ADB from your desktop PC (USB debugging enabled) to sideload the subsequent updates to your device as Nobarb suggested. However that last step would wipe your device (so a backup will be necessary).
I'm in the same boat as you are, so I'm just waiting for the next official update (or something flashable in ODIN to get me back up to date)

Windows 10 Mobile 10586.839 released! (Threshold 2 Production)

Just to let everyone who is still on the Threshold 2 branch of Windows 10 (great for older Lumias that were never supported for Redstone, or if you want a more stable branch of W10M) that 10586.839 has dropped today (March 2017 Patch Tuesday)
If your phone is reporting that no updates are available and you are currently on either 8.1 or a 10.0.10586.xxx build lower than .839, update to at least 10586.107 first and then apply the Windows 10 Mobile Enterprise provisioning package and select the Current Branch for Business ("defer upgrades") to receive the latest Threshold 2 update. This should work on all Lumias that shipped with WP8.x except the 4 GB ones that could never run any version of W10M.
Keep enjoying those great Nokia devices!

No app or other phone needed - just use the provisioning package (ppkg file) to upgrade to Enterprise edition, tick defer upgrades, then check for updates. If you're still on 8.1, update to 10586.107 using the offline update package first.
Here's my review... So far, this build is the best W10M build for unsupported phones. It's very responsive, nearly as fast as Redstone yet as stable as 10586.107. There are some minor UI improvements too from the previous build
Works on L925 (32GB), now downloading .839.
Updating from 10586.107

Post the ppkg file.
There's a copy in the other thread here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=71091803&postcount=25
"WP8.x except the 4 GB ones that could never run any version of W10M."
I'm on RS1 in my L530
RS1 is.... ?
I have 10.0.14393.693 on my 430, thank to dhtupgradeadvisor.
For non supported phones is 10586.839 more suitable. Here Maps, Here Drive +work on it.
I agree, the Here apps do indeed still work if you use the slightly older versions from before they added the expiry date to them, and 10586.xxx is nice and stable whereas there seem to be a lot of reports of bugs with Redstone and later branches of W10M - also it was kinda supported on the older Lumias via the original Insider Preview so is designed to run on older hardware and lower amounts of RAM.

RS1 builds are faster actually, but they're not really stable on unsupported devices. Glance doesn't work out of the box, RAW camera capture doesn't work, Daylight white balance doesn't work, etc.
Its a 512 MB ram device....give him a chance

Yes.
Another Patch Tuesday, another gift from MSFT for us older Lumia lovers - 10586.873 (April 2017 cumulative update for the Threshold 2 branch) now available!
10586.873 Lists
Without CBSU Packages
Is it possible to backup 10586.839 update cabs from softwaredistributions\download\ folder and do the update using IUTool.exe in case someday the business branch reaches Redstone? Or does anyone know how to read GetDULogs.exe output? It's kinda hard since the generated csv doesn't mention which cabs were used to update the system

It's meant to be possible to download all the cabs from the Microsoft Update Catalogue (people have posted lists above in this thread, or you can get all the links from the Catalogue itself, this search shows the more recent Threshold 2 branch updates with the latest one (.873 for April 2017) being at the top: https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=10586 all mobile phone) and then install them using iutool.exe, but when I tried this before discovering the "defer upgrades" method I kept getting an error at "preparing updates 2%". I was trying with all of the packages (for the various devices) and both cbs and cbsu sets of packages i.e. all of the files on the Update Catalogue, perhaps it only works if you copy across only specific ones with iutool.exe but I couldn't work out which ones I needed. The reliable way to update a device offline which I have tested and works great is using WSUS, here's how to set it up: https://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-10-mobile/how-to-wsus-windows-server-update-t3574739

Question Oneplus 9Pro got "system update available, 4.53GB, but I am not a Beta tester, wth?

Hi into the forums,
I try to find out about this update, 'cause it is just "a bit big" for minor changes and a security patch, methinks. My guess, it is the Oxycolor13.
But I do not find any information about a stable version, only betas are out or pulled back, so what do they offer here?
Got that info/offer 2 days ago and are still clueless!
Can it be that it is somehow the ColorOs? Did read that China OP9Pro get updated with Color Os 13 for LE2120.
Mine seems to be a LE2125 (shown unter "about device"), but it is an import phone, out of the box with google, all languages, plus the former update to Oxycolor 12 worked the normal way.
Thanks for helping.

Hi.
What's your OOS12 version?
That looks like a full-update to the latest OOS12 C.65, the same version many of us here have installed over the past week. Except we all mostly just got the incremental update, because OnePlus hasn't put out a full update file since last spring.. Until now, it seems.

Ok, if it is that, I do appologyze for asking. Just confused, since everyone is talking about 13.
Edit: One more question: Do I have to do that full update to 12, with the 13 coming our way?
What does it say your model number is on physical box your phone came in
If you don't have the official box, it will be on the back of your phone, very close to the charger port at the bottom.
I haven't actively searched for information on it, but AFAIK OnePlus have not yet released an Android 13?
Anyone care to guess how long it'll take TMO to follow up with a massaged (spam filled) OnePlus Android 13 after it gets dropped?
I'll guess two months but it's a guess based on assumption, not facts or experience.

Ok, that clears the model number, box says it is a chinese 2120.
Thanks, didn't think about checking the box.
Probably because with past models just the OS was the difference, not the hardware. And mine came with global pre-installed and I had no problems in the past
For future reference, the ColorOS/Oxygen OS 13 update has an F instead of C, so "LE2125_11_C.XX" is Android 12, while "LE2125_11_F.XX" is Android 13.

Ah yeah, the "C" for Android 12 and the "F" for Android 13... makes complete sense

I am already questioning that they still call it LE2125_11_
Already for the Android 12 update, I was thinking: wth?
For me, it would be more logic to call Droid 11 updates _11+, followed by A or B or .... , for every next one
And
Android 12 =_12_
Android 13 = _13_
Since the 2125 is the model.
But hey, I am just a OP phone user.
Thanks to all for helping
Only one more question:
Do I need to flush this full update over my Android 12 version?
One of the last updates was already a "full one" (in GB , not MB), and with 13 coming out some time in the nearer future, ....
As bigger an update, as more problems to expect, imho.
Don't really need that twice in a couple of weeks or month!

Not saying it makes sense, but that's what OnePlus did for 9 Series.
For 10 Pro "A" is Android 12, and "C" is Android 13 LOL.

I 100% agree, I've argued with people who said "LE2125_11_" was OOS 11. They should just go back to OOS 11.2.10.10 naming, OOS 12.X.XX.XX, and OOS 13.X.XX.XX.
To update to this version, you have to be on either C.63/C.65 for NA/IN, or C.64/C.65 for EU
Weird!
Yesterday, the update size changed, from 4,x GB to 409MB.
What is going on with Oppo's sub brand?

But why did I get the full one offered, some weeks ago, but now just the little one?
And why do they have the same name?

Nope!.
Not rooted at all.
Just the message changed from 4,x GB to 400MB size for the available update.
Btw , I did the "small one", today.
Now the 9pro is "up2date".
Was I a bit premature, perhaps?
Got this today, october security update:
Perhaps that was the reason for switching from 4.xGB to 400MB for the last update?
"We need to convince them to update, there is another one waiting, already. They dont like 4GB? Try smaller"
