Hello guys.
I have a problem:
My dad bought himself an XE with Dr. Dre Audio beats and gave me his Headset.
But every time when I want to connect it to my arc it says that it's not supported.
Is there any fix/rom out to fix this issue?
Thank you.
Yours, Kuro
have the same issues as urs dude.. =(
you cannot use HTC, samsung, and iphone on ours sony ericssons...
Sony, nokia etc has the same...but incompatibile with htc,samsung,iphone...
sorry mate...its hardware problem..you should cut out end of headset and put your own connector, or open up phone and change this connector
Lol really?
Well, I got some Sony (not SE) in-ears which worked in 2.3.2 w/o problems, but now in 2.3.4 they doesn't work("Not supported"). But: on 2.3.2 the Dr. Dre Beats worked, but the Sound was a little bit "fuzzy" so it's a software prob, isn't it?
i cant acctually comment that, but what i said before is true.
It was thread about that month or two ago, this is what i remember.
I know that most of new phones can change polarity of connector automatic (by software) because all of headphones (not necessary branded by mobile manufacturers) have different connector...some use 2nd pin for ground, some not...so it is software problem, I would say even marketing...because they want us to buy their branded headsets...
well .. i have studio beats by dr.dre and i've tried it on nokia n8 and xperia arc and also ipod touch .. and it's workin great .. so i dont think it's something about connectors ..
( maybe ) your beats has it's own software on XE, that's why it shows the beats logo when u connect them .. but im not sure about that

Thank you alun.
Do you maybe know how much such an adapter costs?
The one I've got came with a set of headphones but the headphones were less than £8 I don't know exactly where u would get one on its own , do a search for smartphone headphones and see what comes up they included the adapter so the headphones would work with certain brands of phones eg Samsung Sony e.t.c I just tried it with the beats headphones out of curiosity and it worked beats are ky everyday headphones now

Hi
I have a jawbone era which worked with my old htc desire but totally sucks with the nexus. This is a common issue I have subsequently found out.
Can anyone tell me if the Jawbone Icon HD works with the nexus ?
How about the plantronics headsets ?
Any other recommendations for a good BT headset?
Any feedback or suggestions are most appreciated.
Thanks, Dean
I use a jawbone era with mine and like it. I also use the jawbone app with it.

I'm having terrible trouble with mine - people on the other end can hardly hear me. These 2 links show people having the same issues:
eg http://forums.jawbone.com/t5/ERA/Jawbone-ERA-connection-with-Samsung-Galaxy-Nexus-i9250-Ice-Cream/td-p/28890 and

So you guys using it with the nexus havent experienced any problems ?
The Icon HD works amazing for me. I have it and use it everyday. No problems I've ran into. Had it since Nexus launch.

It does not have a few transmitter. Maybe it comes in a custom rom. But I doubt that.

FM Transmitter as in listening to radio or am I understanding completely wrong?
no no transmitter means it transmits fm frequencys set by the user to play music wirelessly i. e in simple words if u set 92.5 fm frequency on ur phne and same on ur car radio u can listen to the songs
however it has low range so can be done only in a car.. same as our wifi
all the cheaper nokia phones has it.. idk y our phne doesn't have nokia c7, n8, e7 has it

Not gonna happen
For any phone to support Fm transmitter it needs specific hardware, it cannot be done with software or a custom rom, if that were the case, our devs would have done it by now... since the one v does not have the hardware component inbuilt for the fm transmitter, it wont support it... if anybody tells you otherwise, they are bluffing...
Sorry mate, no luck... Hope i answered yo question...
Has anyone bought or tested this APT-X headset? I assume the actual headphones are similar to the free ones we get with the HTC One. Any views welcome as I use a Samsung HS3000 at the moment and I am wondering if this HTC APT-X verison is better. Thanks in advance
Bump. Hoping someone can help me

By plugging your headphones in. I misplaced my bluetooth device last week, and used the auxillary input in my car as a speakerphone. The car does not have a microphone/hands free system, it just puts the audio out of the speakers, and knows based on the bands on the headset jack (lack thereof) not to look for audio input through the headset.
Wow can't believe I never noticed that...you're right! Thanks mate
