One of the only things keeping me from using a custom froyo rom is the HTC stock keyboard. I love it so much compared to the stock android keyboard (i have tried out the CM froyo roms, don't like the keyboard).
Is there anyway to get the HTC keyboard into the custom froyo roms? If so how?
Thanks guys!
Its called HTC Ime, its only for Sense devices, its not included with Vanilla Android, the get the LatinIME, here is a ported version...

Hi All I get CM7.0.3 on my wildfire But I really don't like with some App include on CM7.0.3 like camera, gallery, Music Player and more.
It's possible to delete them and reinstall with apk from the original rom..?
if it's possible please tell me how can i do?
Stock HTC Apps cannot be used on AOSP ROMs like Cyanogenmod.
can you tell me why ?
Because they require the Sense Framework, which is a kind of "HTC Exclusive backend" obviously not present on AOSP ROMs like CM7.
Is it possible to patch the stock sense keyboard in a no-sense rom like CM7?
I know this patch exist for the HTC Wildfire, but it isnt for the HTC DZ.
I'm only using sense roms for that reason, maybe there is a app that looklike. Thanks.
google htc_ime.apk (for virtual keyboard)
Will it work in any rom?
I was just wondering if it is possible to install these apk files onto say, an origional jelly bean rom? I mean can I just run these apk in the new system and will they install and work on the new ROM? I mean I don't expect Sense 4.0 to work, but will the HTC clock work? how about the HTC dailer? I want to try Jelly Bean but I think HTC's apps are just more polished than the alternatives you find on Google Play.
btw I have the stock rom atm.
i don't think so, but you're free to try
As long as these apk's don't require any "non-standard libraries" you should be fine, but chances are that most system apk's by HTC will require HTC specific libraries.... so it will most likely fail.

I was wondering if there was anyway to install a couple of HTC sense apps onto my cm10 ROM primarily just the the camera app and maybe the music app
I have tried copying system apps from a leedroid ROM for HTC one x but doesn't install correctly any ideas ?
Could probably push the apks through adb (I think).
Sent from my HTC One X
Won't work, they're heavily dependent on the Sense framework

no it's not possible at all! if you want sense apps and no sense, then try a desensed rom (in many roms you can choice if use sense or not, during aroma install)
